067 Days Until Squid Game Season 3

Haven’t been drawing all that much, so here’s wips I’ve been slowly working on :)

sometimes I forget that sae-byeok is in her early twenties and possibly even 19 or 20 years old

has anyone ever talked about the fact that the first time we see sae-byeok she’s carrying an iced coffee?

this girl is literally barely surviving, committing crimes on the daily, probably only one step ahead of deok-su and his gang since she ditched them and they want payback, and she still found time and money to buy herself a little treat

and I LOVE that for her. so much. I hope she got a little cookie or something with it too

Idk if I’d even have the time to maintain this while putting out chapters but I do have a url in mind for her and some posts planned and some drafted in my notes app and background lore for her and

I kinda wanna make a blog for my squid game OC and then do like a “what if she smuggled her phone into the games and was posting about it” concurrently with the fic she appears in

update on this! I have a plot outlined, some character concepts, chapter titles, and an ending planned 👀

good news, gang!! the fic concept I thought up and then dismissed because ‘it’s definitely been done’ has in fact, to the best of my knowledge, not actually been done

the last thing I need rn is another long-ish fic going but the more I think about this the more I need to write it

I’m actually amazed no one has done it but now I rly want to 😭

this is now a fic I’m planning on writing!

I’m not gonna do pre-game because we know that; she was recruited straight out of prison so there isn’t a whole lot to tell

stuff I’m planning to cover:

- the first day of the games; waking up, red light, green light, the vote (which way does she vote…?)

- the days spent outside after the ‘X’ vote wins, and returning to the games

- dalgona

- the “special game”

- events immediately preceding her first encounter with sae-byeok prior to the tug of war game

- offscreen events in the marble game

have I missed anything/are there any other moments you’d like to see? I can’t promise to include everything and some things might just not fit but I really want to write this!

I just had a thought; how did ji-yeong survive the night time brawl/“special game”? she wasn’t in gi-hun’s team at that point so she must have either hid or fought solo, right?

personally I think she wouldn’t have gone out of her way to kill people but if she was threatened she would absolutely have killed a man

I’m thinking shard of glass rather than bludgeoning someone with a metal bar. girlie’s already proficient with sharp objects

alternate take because suffering is fun: curled up under a bed in the foetal position with her hands over her ears waiting for it to be over

also now I’m thinking about it what if I published the fic and her blog concurrently in real time with the timeline of the games
