SOMEONE STOLE THE FLYING SAUCER FROM ROSWELL’S NATIONAL UFO MUSEUM I CANT BELIEVE THIS
(photo via gildid)
In 1968, the New Zealand Globster washed up on North Island in the Gisborne District. The mass measured in at 30 feet long and 8 feet tall. It was said to be covered in “sand-matted grey hair four to six inches long”. The chairman of the Zoology Department at the University of Auckland, J. E. Morton, was quoted as saying “You can rule out whales because of the hair, and you can rule out sea elephants and sea cows because of its size. I can’t think of anything it resembles”.
March 2016, A story has resurfaced about a UFO in a NASA photograph, that was mysteriously ‘deleted’ from NASA’s website. UFO hunters accused NASA of deleting the image from its website. The supposed action resulted in a massive uproar in the UFO community. The image later reappeared back on NASA’s website at a different location.
The image may be viewed at its current location on the NASA agency’s website here
Thanks to (niadil) for the heads up
A lot of material to ponder through.

A closer look at seemingly drab, transparent insect wings has revealed a plethora of magnificent color, visible to the naked eye yet overlooked for centuries. The colors are most evident against a dark background. Against a white background, they’re invisible. The researchers think the coloration has specific functions, particularly for mating, just as it does in butterflies and beetles and other insects with better-appreciated markings. (Source)
Close-up of the Bubble Nebula
(via APOD; Image Credit: NASA, ESA, Hubble Legacy Archive; Processing & License: Judy Schmidt )
It’s the bubble versus the cloud. NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, is being pushed out by the stellar wind of massive central star BD+602522. Next door, though, lives a giant molecular cloud, visible to the right. At this place in space, an irresistible force meets an immovable object in an interesting way. The cloud is able to contain the expansion of the bubble gas, but gets blasted by the hot radiation from the bubble’s central star. The radiation heats up dense regions of the molecular cloud causing it to glow. The Bubble Nebula, featured here in scientifically mapped colors to bring up contrast, is about 10 light-years across and part of a much larger complex of stars and shells. The Bubble Nebula can be seen with a small telescope towards the constellation of the Queen of Aethiopia (Cassiopeia).
Obviously....
Anthropologists were right. 😜
