you know I think it’s funny that the literal main difference between karkat and kankri is Nurture. Like karkat is just kankri plus Prey Animal Desperation and that’s pretty much it

does that make sense homestuck karkat vantas homestuck analysis Obviously they’re slightly different in other ways but I think that the absolute biggest difference is that Karkat hates himself a lot Because of the environment in which he was raised that INSTILLED that hatred in the first place And isolated him and wanted to hurt him So he loves all his friends so so so so much because he doesn’t have much else to latch onto And ironically is a better person because of it Whereas kankri As a mutant on beforus I can only imagine he was like The bestest and specialist and littlest and most pitiful cancer patient yknow Like it pissed him off to no end but he was Safe like at least on a physical level Not to mention handled with kid gloves his whole life And sure it probably caused a deep rooted inferiority complex But it also means he never once had to consider anyone else’s feelings ever in his life So he’s just a Bitch who hates everyone Who acts all high and mighty and compassionate to disguise how bitter he is AND to disguise the fact that he really doesn’t know anything and is insecure about it While karkat acts loud and angry and mean and rough because he doesn’t want people to know how soft he really is And also because he really doesn’t know anything and is insecure about it That is their common thread Neither of them are Good Enough and it’s in completely opposite ways I like the vantases Vanti Whatevs homestuck textposts kankri vantas
