I think people seem to forget that Miyu sympathizes with humans but doesn't always agree with what they do. When shinma take over weak human beings, it represents that they are greedy. Whenever the shinma manage to catch people in the crossfire, this is the collateral damage that happens with greed. People lose friends, love ones, and complete strangers because of human nature. When the person knows their wrong doings or doesn't even know, they deserve punishment. Sins are sins. I'm not religious at all but hell if you do something bad theres a punishment and it all depends on how severe the situation was.
