It’s December already. What.
Haven’t posted alien stuff in a while, so I figured I’d give it a go again!
A character I made in the late hours of the night.
Was mostly for practice, but I’m happy with how it turned out!
A very late pride month drawing, featuring Swish and Belle!
Crowns belong to @charseraph
Radial alien concept
These guys live in swampy areas, usually hunting fish and gathering to get food.
Decided to draw a crown by @charseraph, her name is Belle!
Changed the Tree Watchers a bit (thinking of calling them tree dwellers instead, but I’m not sure yet). Biggest changes are their size and tail (and to an extent, hands and feet too).
More info:
Mostly carnivorous, will eat fruits on occasion to get other nutrients.
Large, expressive eyes. I imagine they can see colors similar to us.
Sit and wait arboreal predators, catch small animals and then inject venom into the body using sharp, needle-like teeth that soften the organs and muscles, which they then pull out using thin, spiked tongues.
Pretty gregarious, live in large families and put a lot of value into maintaining close bonds.
Their two most prominent teeth (the ones that administer venom, located near the front and top of their mouths) shed a layer every now and then to maintain sharpness.
Some individuals will take the shed teeth of their loved ones and make jewelry or accessories out of them.
Permanent ‘:3’ face (since I find it funny), emotions usually expressed through eyelid position, pupil size, neck fur position, and body language in general (for example, eyes closed and tongue sticking out is the equivalent of a smile for them).
Barely any sexual dimorphism, aside from reproductive organs.
Babies are born very small and almost kitten-like, will cling to either parent for a good handful of months until they find their climbing skills. Dense, fluffy fur to deter parasites and muddled coloration to blend into the trees. Most will shed this fur as they get older, which results in a somewhat silly, scraggly looking appearance in their early teenage years.
