Since a lot of people here suddently stopped reblogging, here's a friendly reminder to reblog art/writing because in this way you can actually HELP artists/writers to get the stuff they post seen by others, letting them know what without taking away op's control on the post and
So please. PLEASE. Reblog art, reblog writing, it's full of small artists and authors here, who aren't going anywhere because people aren't reblogging anymore. Give artists and writers the occasion to grow, to become famous and bring happiness to others with their content. Because we put effort in what we do, and sometimes not getting any appreciation is very demotivating, and that could also bring someone to stop posting, y'know?
Reblogs make people who post original content feel valid, appreciated, supported. And people who reblog are a godsend.
And remember: ✨REBLOGS✨ and 💀REPOSTS💀 AREN'T THE SAME THING. Reblogging is good. Reposting is bad.
If you’re not keeping up, Cartoon Network sold off most of its original programming over the last few years to run exclusively on HBO Max, but after a merger with Discovery, HBO has taken them all down, including those that were still in production, for what is long story short a big tax write-off.
And it’s not a simple matter of them just airing or streaming somewhere else now. It’s a very complicated issue of rights and contracts and money but essentially it’s very possible that these shows will never be available again in official capacity and their creators will never see another penny from them again, either. Some completed episodes may also be lost media, indefinitely.
For a couple of series, such as Mao Mao and Infinity Train, Cartoon Network has gone back and scrubbed all tweets, youtube clips or other mention of the series existence, confirming they likely no longer have the rights to take them anywhere else.
The tweet today by the art director of Tig N’ Seek made me saddest.
A lot of people this week have simply given up on their industry careers, seeing years of their life’s work just vanish into a corporate vault overnight. Being able to point to your work on a streaming service had apparently even become a pretty critical part of the portfolios they now rely on to get new jobs.
Streaming media went from an optimistic new frontier to even worse than cable TV so suddenly.
[ID: A total of five tweets from Matthew Mercer @.matthewmercer which together read: “#criticalrolespoilers #criticalrole Seeing some VERY weird conversation about planned “aging” of characters and the like... which is very much not the case? A randomly rolled encounter combined with unexpected player choices makes for unexpected outcomes. I’m seeing some really toxic discussions, based in (surprise) shipping spaces. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for shipping. I think, when engaged with in a HEALTHY way, can be a great way to enjoy media and engage with it. However, the misinterpretation of a story (especially improvised) wielded as a weapon against others who disagree with your ship, or anger against not seeing YOUR ship realized and turning it into hate for a fandom and/or it’s creators is toxic beyond belief. Sometimes the mental gymnastics I read when some folks try to justify a perceived, personal slight by creators and storytellers who both made no promises to you, or did nothing but continue to follow an organic, honest path with care, makes me not want to create. Scenarios like this continue to push me away from engaging online, for my own mental health. I don’t want to pull away, but man... sometimes you all try my patience. The conspiracies, the assumptions, the untrue, unwarranted statements... *sigh*” /end ID]
My very good friend from high school is transitioning! Please help her out if you are able! If not sharing is appreciated 🥰

“Congrats to the WB and Cartoon Network production workers for filing an NLRB petition to unionize and demand voluntary recognition! Show your support to help them get the representation they deserve! #unionstrong #weare839 #production strong”

Happy Asexual Day!
🖤💜🤍🖤💜🤍🖤💜🤍🖤
If you are ace (or on the ace spectrum) here’s some things I need you to know:
• You are loved
• You are not broken
• You will find someone who appreciates you
• You matter
• You are allowed to have boundaries
• You are valid
• You don’t have to justify your identity to anyone
• You are so fucking amazing and beautiful and wonderful
• You deserve to be happy
If you want to support the acespec community and be a good ally, here are some things I need you to know:
• Aces exist
• Asexuals are not broken or unnatural
• Society is inherently sexual, but aces are not lacking anything that would make them less human
• Asexuals can feel any way towards sex
• Asexuality is not the same as celibacy
• Asexuality is not a choice
• Being asexual doesn’t mean you can’t or won’t have sex, nor the opposite
• Whether or not an asexual person has had sex before is none of your business (and the answer doesn’t invalidate their asexuality at all)
• Aces are people, and their individual boundaries deserve to be respected, period
• Asexual itself is both a specific identity and an umbrella term
• Asexuality is a spectrum
• If someone says they’re ace, know that they might still experience some feelings of sexual attraction, and don’t try to invalidate them for it
I wish everyone an amazing day and happy supporting all the asexuals out there!
