I been so busy with school and work that all I’ve really draw in my free time is pin up of unholy internet trends.

Shiro and Keith exploring space. I chose green, red, orange, blue, violet and yellow as theme colours.
I wanted to play around with colouring and backgrounds because I really need more practice, and why not use that as an excuse to draw sheith? Them travelling together post-vld is one of my favourite headcanons.

Sheithlentines gift for @fcllencngels! I’m so very sorry for the wait, but I hope you like your gift. I really liked the “slightly angsty” and “PreKerberos” prompts from your wishlist. I tried my best to do something with both. After finishing, I thought that Keith would probably have had a flip phone. Shiro may have bought him a smart phone to stay in touch easier and to send cute messages back and forth. Have a wonderful upcoming White Day and rest of March.
His boy gone
“I love you.”
Shiro is a fucking Disney princess
He knew that Shiro’s days were numbered and his vitality would fade before his prime was over. He knew that Shiro had suffered when that stress was too much for his partner and they turned away from him. He knew that Shiro had forsaken safety and comfort for one last blaze of glory to achieve the dream he’d worked so hard for. He knew he may never see him again, and that every time he did, the clock was still ticking.
For a fiery, upstart, showoff with discipline problems, Keith has become one of the most compassionate characters I’ve ever seen. Despite his fear of abandonment. Despite what had happened to his father, and despite knowing that their time was limited, Keith never gave up on Shiro. He never encouraged him to abandon his dream or to give up.
Every time that Shiro faltered, Keith was at his side. Did he fear that each time might be the last? Did he fear that if he only let Shiro close his eyes that his dearest friend would leave him forever?

Ever think about the creative decision behind just casually choosing to reveal Shiro is attracted to dudes in the most Shiro and Keith centered episode out of aaaaaaall the places and times they could have done that in the show?
Annnd on the way also casually establishing that Shiro is in fact single right now, for no particular reason.. oh wait, it’s cuz they wanted to show he’s “been through stuff and is more mature than the rest"
damn I love this brotherly relationship lol
(This is kinda like why I see Shiro’s and Adam’s relationship as something that was only there to shine a light on Shiro’s relationship with Keith.)
So cuz of his illness Shiro probably thought he couldn’t do alot of things so he tried to break every record and do as much as he possibly can to prove it wrong, that was his way to deal with his disease.
So when he snaps at Adam “you dont need to protect me” it’s because he was probably treated as a sick and weak person all his life while trying to prove how strong he is.
So what Adam says with all it’s good intentions hits a very sensitive spot.
Shiro doesnt want anyone to think he’s weak, he wants ppl to see how strong and capable he is.
Keith did that every single step of the way. (like remember how I was going crazy trying to figure why their mentor/mentee relationship is upside down with Keith always being the one encouraging Shiro??)
This is also why Shiro was always hiding his troubles from the team, he’s probably been doing that since he was a child cuz he wanted ppl to think he’s strong.
So Adam wasn’t a bad person, he apparently just never understood Shiro and how much he needed the support and the faith in him and his abilities.
And Shiro needs to learn how to let himself be weak and accept help sometimes, that’s what his journey is about. He’s was probably partially only doing all that because he never really felt strong deep inside, and that’s what I hope Keith helped him with
I mean Keith is the ONLY person Shiro has shown weakness with, he allows himself to be weak with Keith and receive help and get saved by him. That MEANS SO SO MUCH considering all we know know.
So like the difference between Adam and Keith is that Keith always believed Shiro can do anything. Keith worried about Shiro but he never tried to hold him back. It was always “You can do this” instead of “you probably can’t do this so stand back” like Adam did (even thought it came from a good place)
Adam loves Shiro, and it hurts him to see Shiro put himself in danger. Like I completely understand him. After I actually watched the scene it’s very clear to me it’s not about “ur dream vs me”, it’s because it’s hard for him to see Shiro do this to himself over and over again, this endless chasing after “being strong and capable”. like that wasn’t easy for Adam, it’s like watching the person you love destroy their life without being able to do anything about that.
So I’m not surprised he had enough. But like that’s the thing…
Shiro WAS capable going on that mission. It’s like… I dunno on one hand Shiro always trying to prove how strong and capable he is hurting Shiro, but like Shiro’s faith in that he can do more and be more is also what brought him to where he is now despite of everything. Like…he survived. And cuz he fought for it.
And Keith was A HUGE PART OF THAT. Because when Shiro was weak he always picked him up and told him “That’s not you, you are strong and you’re gonna make it, And I will always be there waiting for you to get back (no matter how hard it might be for me)”
That’s what that episode was supposed to tell us I think.
And yeah, comparing Shiro’s significant other to Keith has no “platonic brotherly explanation”.
That is A THING
And what I think this was all about:
THIS WOULD EXPLAIN ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!
This is why he moves to green lion
This is why him and Shiro kinda keep their distance from eachother and don’t talk much this season.
This is why Adam’s death was really there, because Shiro is realizing he missed out on something that he can’t have back anymore, which makes him appreciate a committed romantic relationship. (because he didn’t before)
And when Keith here saves him again, things change for Shiro in how he views this thing he has and can have with Keith, because suddenly he’s realizing that “Yes, I wants this, this is good”
Also Keith saving him and being there for him as always ,despite that he might have broken Keith’s heart not so long ago, suddenly gets a whole new meaning.
AND it would explain why Shiro wasn’t in the hospital or the grave scene
Because things have kinda been awkward between em since he kinda turned Keith down.
ANNNNNNND it can also explain what their original plan was for the LGBT rep that they weren’t allowed to go through with, like they were forced to cut that romantic Shiro/Keith scene out and then they got the greenlight to go with it, but at that point the only thing they could do was only change the audio on Adam’s scene. (because it’s easy to do and they had it ready) and as I said before already Adam was probably there just to shine a light on Keith and Shiro.
AAAnd it can potentially also explain that “why we would wanna give Keith a hug” thing that didn’t happen because it was cut out!!!! ok apparently that scene happened is episode 9 so nm
Like yooooo guys, this makes perfect sense!!!
EDIT: Actually I’m gonna add another thing, and say that all those “Shiro my brother” weren’t part of their original plan and the higher ups made em add those. So all this awkwardness between Keith and Shiro now, is because in the original plan Keith was gonna just say “I LOVE YOU” in black paladins.
So the scene that was cut out was probably just them discussing that and what it means, then Shiro turns him down.
Shiro was either abandoned by his parents because of his disease, or he’s one of the failed project kuron clones that somehow ended up on earth, cuz we know nothing of his family and cuz Shiro has this thing that he needs to be needed and he doesn’t want to be useless.
Because of his disease he kinda wanted to prove everyone he’s worth something and that he’s strong and can achieve things everyone probably told him he can never do.
And that is also why he could understand Keith back then when he met him, because he knew that Keith was pushing ppl away by doin all those bad things because he was afraid of rejection, so he pushed ppl away before they had a chance to reject him.
Shiro was doing things out of the same reason, not wanting to ever feel abandoned. But he was not doing that by making trouble like Keith but was always trying to be as needed as he can be. You know this strong leader that takes care of everyone and stuff. He kinda pushes Adam away because he felt like he was being abandoned there too in a way probably.
So both of Keith and Shiro’s biggest fear was abandonment.
So looking back you really see how Keith and Shiro saved eachother and how much their support of eachother and the ‘I will never give up on you’ meant to both of them.
This is a such a beautiful love story, with so much thought that went into it.
Adam’s death doesn’t do what they say it was supposed to do.
His scene with Shiro is too negative and too short for the viewer to care about him, it’s hard to recognize it is he who dies since he’s got a helmet on and it’s probably hard to remember what he looked like…
We only recognized him and got attached to him cuz we had a MONTH to discuss that one scene haha, but your regular viewer would be like “oh it was that.. guy, oh well *shrug*” so that goes for showing how harsh and sad the reality of war is.. by killing someone no one would really care about?
So ye.. their explanation for Adam’s death doesn’t makes sense. If you want ppl to care and hurt about a death, you gotta first make em get attached to that character in some way, (in show, not like telling ppl they were gonna get married at panels haha) which they didn’t do.
Meaning Adam’s death probably played a different role. It was there for Shiro’s character growth to make him realize things about relationships. About how sometimes it can be too late, and about appreciating ppl who want to protect you and allowing them to do so.
This also connects for me to the talk Shiro has with Keith in the desert.
I feel like “successfully jumping off the cliff” is kinda a metaphor for a good relationship..
Like look
“It’s all about timing, you pull up to soon and you won’t have the momentum in it to create lift"
Adam and Shiro’s relationship didn’t work because they jumped into it before Shiro was ready for that kind of commitment.
“too late, and there won’t be enough lift to avoid the crash”
Adam’s death was Shiro’s “too late”, kinda like sometimes if you wait too long you might miss your chance at it.
AND THEN we have Keith asking
“You think I’m ready to try that?"
and Shiro asks him "what do you think?”
and Keith replies
“That I should be patient and keep focusing on the basics first”
‘basics’ being friendship and building a strong solid bond before jumping into romance.
And like it all fits so well in the end when you think about it like that.
Not to mention Keith literally has to cross a cliff to get to Shiro in the episode that talk was originally was supposed to be in.
BOSS!!! HIM!!!! AROUND!!!!!!

Not sure if this is the best way to post comics on tumblr but here it goes!
I’m usually very unsure about making and posting comics so I sat on it for a bit, but this is not the first time I have a Taylor Swift song in my mind that just gives me Sheith feels, and if you don’t think this man was indeed on his Vigilante Shit when he decided to explode some shit to sneak into a military quarantine facility for Shiro,,, then I shall change your mind uwu
We all know Keith would do anything for Shiro right ;) hope you guys like the intense stares and the fan service hehe
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ nothing to see here
only bad thing about a star is they burn up
Another remake of a piece I made back in 2017 (here's the link to the original:)
I really like making these re-draw, because I can 1) revisit lots of beloved concepts and ideas and 2) see how I improved since drawing something for the first time.
Keith and Shiro have a talk.
Sheith is good but wouldn't it be a horrible, confusing message for kids to have "you're like a brother to me" happen and THEN reveal a romantic relationship? Like, irl this complicated type of thing might happen but uhhh don't think we need to muddle the line between family and romantic relationships for young kids. that would really be a bad message. I don't think (hope tbh) it won't be canon for this reason
I mean, again, literally everyone on Team Voltron has referred to one another as found family. If you think sheith can’t be canon for that reason, no paladin ships can be:
Furthermore, this is Studio Mir. They made Avatar, and even though Aang and Katara get married, they still have that “you’re like a brother” thing going at first. Excerpt from The Ember Island Players:
Aang: “Did you really mean what you said in there?…when you said I was just like a brother to you and you didn’t have feelings for me?”
Katara: “I didn’t say that. An actor said that.”
Aang: “But it’s true, isn’t it?”
Harry Potter is also for kids. But Harry? Yeah, he thinks of Ginny as a sister at first. Still marries her. And again, this kind of thing is common for this particular archetype of relationships:
Literally the list goes on and on. Mistakenly thinking of someone as being like family before your feelings develop into something more is literally part of the natural arc of friends to lovers. This is plenty common in media for kids as well as adults, and I’m quite honestly sick of people pretending the friends to lovers trope is only okay if you’re straight but if not it’s somehow fucking gross. Especially considering how so many lgbt people like myself went through their childhood confused as fuck and thinking of their crushes as being just platonic or familial love because that’s the kind of thing internalized homophobia does to you.
Hell, I even got scared and backed out of confessing to someone by saying I loved them like a sibling. And this is pretty common among lgbt people tbh. In that context Keith struggling with a crush on Shiro and not knowing how to classify his feelings or being afraid to admit it is extremely relatable and well written.
I understand you think you’re trying to do the right thing here, but please don’t tell me what kind of representation would have helped me as a kid.
