A recently widowed man took this photograph of his daughter playing with her new Christmas presents only to discover that the developed picture clearly shows a spectral figure crawling across the floor. His daughter seems to have noticed the ghost, as she is looking towards it, smiling. He firmly believes that this is the ghost of his dead wife trying to play with their daughter on her first Christmas without her mother.

*SLEEP PARALYSIS*

Worst. Sensation. Ever.

Have you ever felt pins and needles all over your body along with the sensation of falling from the last floor of a skyscraper, then realize you can’t move any part of your body? Welcome, this is sleep paralysis.

Scientifically it’s a sleep disorder consisting in the paralysis of all your muscles, no one excluded, while you’re conscious. In fact it usually happens before falling asleep or during awakening. It’s caused by a disconnection between body and mind: your body is sleeping while your mind is awake. Troubles come if it happens in your R.E.M phase, that’s when you start having nightmares while lucid dreaming.

This event has been frequent all around the globe since the dawn of time. That’s why every culture has its legend and all of them talk about a common cause: spirits, goblins and demons, like Incubus, Succubus, Lamia, Mara, Lidérc, Vrachnas, Gui ya shen and so on. Their main purpose is to haunt our dreams to absorb our energies. They are with us, sitting on our chest. 🙂

In 2014, Kenny Veach went missing in the Mojave Desert looking for an odd cave in the area. Veach went out on hiking trips frequently and would sometimes leave for days camping and hiking. On November 10th 2014 Veach told his girlfriend that he was going to go exploring and left. For months before he disappeared he had mentioned a cave that was shaped like an M in the desert and supposedly the cave emits odd frequencies and caused the visitors to vibrate and feel fear. Veach had mentioned the cave when he commented on another hikers YouTube vlog. He commented on the video that he would take a video camera and look inside the odd cave after other hikers asked for proof. Although he was encouraged by other YouTubers, some discouraged him from trying to find the cave. Veach left early in the morning and intended to stay overnight. Unfortunately Veach never returned home while looking for the cave. His girlfriend filed a missing persons report when he didn’t return home, his phone was found abandoned in the desert near an old mine. When cameras were lowered into the mine no body was found ruling out falling.Veach was notorious for avoiding the use of gps and maps, stating that amateurs used them. Many people in his community as well as other hikers on YouTube went and searched the desert. There have been theory’s such as being bitten by a snake, dehydration. However if that were the case his remains would have certainly been found in the vast area that was searched. Due to the nature of the M shaped cave, ufo abduction and being kidnapped by the government or a local gang have been thrown out as explanations. Some suggest that he had stumbled upon something that was not meant to be seen such as an experiment or killing of a rival gang member. Veach’s girlfriend believes that he died by suicide and went into the desert to do so. She mentioned on his YouTube channel that depression ran in his family and that he told her that he would rather die in the wilderness so that his loved ones would not find him, like he had found his own father in the past. Veach is presumed dead and his remains as well as the mysterious cave have never been found.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium is thought to be one of America’s most haunted buildings, and due to it’s imposing appearance, it isn’t hard to see why. Officially opening it’s doors to the public in 1910, it was originally built to house “40 to 50″ tuberculous patients after Jefferson county suffered a severe outbreak. At the time, the swampland surrounding Louisville made the perfect breeding ground for TB bacteria, and the disease quickly spread amongst the population. Sure enough, Waverly Hills was inundated with sick, dying, patients so the government had to intervene.

An expansion was ordered to hold an extra 400 patients, however the doctors didn’t have sufficient training and were swamped with the dead and dying. Reportedly, many patients suffered from depression and committed suicide before the disease could take them, whilst others simply succumbed to the gathering fluid in their lungs.To make things even more horrific, the dead were stripped from their dignity and transported via the infamous death chute (an underground tunnel in complete darkness) as part of their final journey to the grave.

To this day, Waverly Hills Sanatorium remains a terrifying looking building, and has featured on many paranormal shows, hoping to capture the huge building’s long-suffering patients, nurses, and doctors.

Susan Margaret Long was born and lived with both her parents in Aylsham, Norfolk.

At about 5.15am on the 11 March 1970, Susan’s body was found by a milkman approximately 1 ½ miles from Aylsham Market Place on the Burgh Road.  She had been sexually assaulted and strangled.

Susan was 18 and employed as a clerk at Norwich Union in Norwich. She had a boyfriend who also lived in the city. She would therefore regularly travel into Norwich by bus for work and to see him.

On the evening of 10 March 1970 she went with her boyfriend to the Gala Dance Hall in Norwich. She left at about 10.25pm to catch the bus back to Aylsham. The bus arrived in Aylsham Market Place at 11.10pm.  Other passengers confirmed that Susan had got off the bus.

It is believed that Susan was driven to where her body was found but officers do not know if she went voluntarily or was abducted. However, it is generally believed she would not accept a lift from strangers.

A full scale murder enquiry was launched, led by New Scotland Yard.

Following forensic recovery of semen left at the scene, it was established that the offender was from a rare blood group and blood samples were taken from men living in the Aylsham area. Another significant line of enquiry was linked to car paint flakes found on Susan’s clothing which showed that the paint had originally been pompadour blue and then been re sprayed metallic maroon. These lines of enquiry did not reveal the offender
