WHO:

Marissa Hernandez or Mars Hernandez who has several alias through various social medias.  Commonly goes by ItsProbablyMars as of current but is also under the names of Nakomii and her supposed taxidermy business Vita Nova Taxidermy.  Below are all the recorded accounts of all medias she can be found on.

WHAT:

She has a long history of taking commissions and not completing them in a timely manner and by that I mean commissions that are 3+ plus years outstanding.  A lot of these commissions originally are from her deviantART where she took many taxidermy commissions over the last few years. There is at least an estimated 10+ customers that have not received their items nor have they even gotten updates on their commissions in a while.  Many are fearful to come forward as Mars, her current girlfriend and even her blind followers will attack anyone that calls her out and reject any wrong doing on her part.

When customers continue to pursue her for answers that there has been several accounts of her blocking/deleting comments or simply ignoring them.  Her deviantART page has been a good example of customers asking for updates throughout the last few months but have not gotten any replies.  When customers so get in touch with her or make complaints towards her work that she twists it and blames them.

Taxidermy isn’t the only issues as at one point she did take art doll commissions for a short period and all those customers have not received their dolls as promised.  There has been additional reports of possibly even art related commissions that are not getting done recently.

Customers that have received their taxidermy commissions from her have a long list of complaints from large holes in the pelt, wonky anatomy, staples and pins left in the mounts, popped stitches, and smoky smell to pelts. Some severe cases, BLACK MOLD on the pelts and rodents chewing up customer pelts.  There has been additional reports of poor packaging for customers that have received mounts and items that were damaged due to improper packaging, again blaming them or the postal service for the damages.  She is also known to claim to have shipped items but merely printed the shipping labels and not actually having mailed said items until weeks later.

WHERE:

Many of the customers are from deviantART, while some are even through Facebook, Etsy and Instagram. For protection purpose of those customers, I will not provide Facebook profiles as many do not want their names disclosed out of fear of harassment.

WHEN:

This has been an ongoing dispute with many of her customers that has gone on for years.  The most recent was a customer that received her hyena and coyote pelt after 3 YEARS of waiting on both pelts to be mounted.  Both pelts were damaged upon receiving them, the coyote in far worse shape.  According to other unhappy customers, some have been waiting anywhere from a few months to several years for their items.

^Personal favorite of all this, Mars current girlfriend admitting Mars is still taking commissions despite that she owes so many people items and refunds, generally not a good practice when you owe so many commissions to customers.  She also dismisses the entire deviantART community which where many of her customers who are waiting for items are, lack of respect/kindness for the customers.

EXPLAIN:

While this is focused more of taxidermy commissions, the fact that Mars is making an attempt now get into fursuit/art commissions and a lot of these customers are not aware of the fact Mars has scammed numerous people through various medias.  She is clearly running from her angry customers from what information has been gathered and trying to hide the fact she has so many red flags on her right now.  I’d advise anyone not to commission her and for those that are trying to get their commissions/items back to contact Paypal if they paid her that way. For those wanting their items back threatening legal action as it seems to be the only way that she’ll actually listen.

I was 100% waiting for this chick to pop up here. The very conditions she works in and damages other people’s items is UNACCEPTABLE.

Super quick centaur/horse body tutorial!

You’ve asked me a lot for a centaur tutorial but I absolutely suck at doing stuff like that because I rely so much on my own eye measuring and I almost never do sketches like this, so bear with me. 1: The horse body!

I managed to break down the body into lots of triangles and lines and what have you, in a way that I find easy and accurate to use. This is the body of Dan, (an english full blood) but it’s really easy to alter between breeds! For example, I used this when doing the lineup, take two of the most altered ones:

2: Put some meat on it

Keep in mind that if you have no idea how to draw then you probably should just drop this because as you can see I’m skipping ahead assuming you know how to meat a stick figure, and also have a ground feeling of what a horse really should look like. But it’s starting to take shape, doesn’t it? The tip of the withers should be around the tip of the hip. 3: Legs and hooves

Make sure you don’t make the knees and hocks too defined (if you want to draw a full grown horse will say. It works on younger horses and foals though!) And also not like noodles. Watch out for making the hind legs too curved or too straight when standing properly.

You want your hooves to be balanced, keep that in mind! 4: Add the human body

You’ve got a nice red line there to keep track of the spine. Dan’s human part is slim and a bit smaller, which adds to his rather big but slender breed. Now of course I’m still assuming that you know how to draw humans as well. That’s what it’s about, draw loads of humans and loads of horses and mash them together in a way that you see fit!

I prefer to use colours that the actual breed can have, and to match their hair with their tail. A paint is a difference though, as it might have different pigments in skull and tail root. This has been a quick and confusing tutorial in which I also claim that I am in no way an expert on this, thank you good night
