Killer "Serrif"
- Official Height: 5'4
- He/Him
- Nihilist
- Perceptive, clever, confident, assertive, stubborn, cynical, blunt, optimistic, teasing, untrusting, deceitful, sarcastic, persuasive, erratic, social, cocky, dependant, careless
- Has a liking for the color green and red
- Can have a quick temper
- Named Killer because the nickname he had given Chara turned into an actual name for himself
- Curses often and his favorite word is shit
- Specially skilled with knives
- A little fucking shit
- Forgets things often, leaving him to knock on his skull when trying to remember something
- Talks to himself a lot, a habit he picked up
- Tries to "befriend" everyone
- Surprisingly quite patient when he chooses to be
- Constantly wipes away the ooze pouring from his eyes when it drips
- Black ooze spills from his eyes when crying, so he always has tissues in his inbox
- Laughs during inappropriate times
- He catches himself envying others sometimes, so he gets quieter when this happens
- Both internal sides of his soul argue about their opinions on things, so he usually has neutral opinions on things, leaving him indecisive on simple items
- He doesn't drink ketchup anymore
- Is quite lonely, especially after things went quiet for awhile
- Makes rude comments like the way a child is brutally honest
- He chugs energy drinks a lot to keep awake, he doesn't like sleep since he often has bad dreams
- Loves to mess around with instruments
- He's very touch oriented so he can't stand staying still. He tends to also get in people's space as a result
- Magic smells of iron, magic tastes of cranberries
- He would call his lover Doll
- He adores cats but does not own one of his own since he doesn't want them to get hurt
- When away from the underground he grows to have more fashion sense
- Drinks alcohol frequently, since he was left alone with it in the underground and grew thirsty
- Avoids getting emotionally invested in others
- Fucking eats chocolate UP
- He avoids yellow flowers like buttercups, but he likes roses and overall more red flowers. Yellow ones remind him of days long past
- Hates having anything to do with fate, so he often will get irritated if someone starts rambling about "fate". To him, it's all about chance and choice
- His soul turns back to a heart when he's feeling, and which then involves a lot of crying while one eyelight glows a white
- picks things from out of his teeth with his pinky, since he doesn't carry toothpicks
- Bro has a crusty dusty jacket, he needs a bath💀
- Can never get along with other AU's except very very very rarely
- I think he would listen to ICP
- Avoids hurting animals at all costs, despite his nature
- Would be a horrible babysitter for anything. Give him a baby? He lost it. Keep your keys in his pocket? He lost it. Your faith in him? He lost that pretty quickly
- His gaster blasters are fuzzy and slightly glitchy, not quite present. It is a last resort when he's out of knives since he uses a lot of magic already. His soul can visibly spike and he ends up feeling completely drained to the point it hurts using his magic
- Is able to detect FEAR when staring into another's soul, in which he'll mock them
- Hates being belittled or compared to others
- His magic bones are jagged and red tinted
- Hates seeing himself in reflections, so he avoids mirrors by cloaking them or shattering them
- He dreams of Papyrus and it feeds into his guilt. He gets shaken up by it every time
- A small white eyelight will show itself if he's either his 'normal' self or if he's super comfortable with someone
- He doesn't care for puns anymore, often teasing others or using dark humor instead
- Tends to play with victims during his sprees, as he enjoys teasing them and loves the chase
- He rarely feels remorse for hurting others, but it's possible
- It's not recommended to challenge him, as he feels that he has to win at all costs and tends to be quite tricky as a result through loopholes. He doesn't quite "cheat"
- Rarely does he lose or allow himself to admit defeat. Sometimes he'll even discard the challenge and deal unless they're stronger or best him in a way he finds acceptable
- He is a light sleeper due to paranoia, often waking up with a slightly jittery or skittish response
- Even if he has left others behind to chase a target, it's mainly because he's a chaser. His speed, dexterity, and stamina are his best qualities. He can outrun any other Sans, but he always makes sure to let them have some "leniency"
- Rarely does he quit chasing someone, not unless told not to (depending on different interpretations where he works for Nightmare) or if he's grown to become utterly devoted to those he's close with and decides to help them
- Rarely can be actually create emotional bonds with others, often having "partnerships" or "deals" instead
- Can only keep track of two things: his target of interest (monster, human, item, animal. For hunting or otherwise) and his knives
- Has fun executing those that he deems against his fucked up moral code. If he deems them horrible, then they must be. It's his preferred execution, and so he tends to actually avoid killing those that are aligned as neutral or good. He isn't against hurting them though, and only kills them if necessary
- He doesn't care for humans and seems to actually prefer attacking them instead, since they're not made of just magic. They bleed and can take more hits
-He is partially unable to feel pain, so even if his skull is cracked or if his bones are broken, he just laughs about it and even snaps things back in place
-He usually smiles, but there are times where he's absolutely pissed and is unable to force it. It's his default appearance, sometimes leaving him sore
- This based off my own little twist of the AT, and so this can be entirely ignored. I feel that there is more to his dynamic with Chara because I personally don't think that Chara is evil. In fact, I think that both were forced by the Player, thus bonding as they broke their coding in order to not only feel something, but to also make it nearly impossible for the Player to "win." In this version, I feel that Chara was just morphed into something else due to Hate and Spite. In the end, I feel that after Killer destroyed Chara's soul, a part of it consumed and molded within him, this leaving him and Chara to sort of share a soul
Closing Notes: I have a lot of fun working with him, even when I found him sort of boring when I was younger. Some of my own little twists on what my personal hc's do influence my perception of him. I hope you guys enjoy this and aren't disappointed, don't be afraid to ask questions or throw in your own hc's for him! Thank you for reading =)
I love when Sans Undertale walked in my room and told me that I need to post my headcanons before he smacked a bag of chips at my face. I gotta listen to the funny bone man.
(this was the only gif I found that was fitting of the silly bone man)
HEHEHE THANK YOUUUU I LOVE VANILLA SO MUCHH. HES SO SILLY AND I LOVE HIM A LOT, SO I GOT EXCITED WHEN YOU REQUESTED HIM. I LOVE TO SEE YOUR REACTIONS AND YOUR OPINIONS WHEN YOU REBLOG MY STUFF SO THANKKK YOU AND I HOPE YOU KNOW YOU HELP ME WITH IDEAS AND STUFF🤭🤭
im back with another promptt😋😋
Sans and Y/N are coworkers at a company that focuses on tech. They’ve been crushing on eachother for a while and one day, the power goes out. Electronic doors trap them in a room together and the power generator isnt working so the doors wont be open for hours. For funsies, lets say Y/N is scared of the dark. Now, Sans and Y/N are alone, in a dark room, and Y/N needs comfort. Who better than the soft, funny skeleton who may or may not like her back?
(Sorry this ones kinda long😭😭 feel free to skip if u wanna)
Aaahhhh I love this! Oh this is delicious, thank you I'm going to have fun typing this down! GAH, thank you for the ask.
Uhhh CW: descriptions of distress, anxiety attack, etc
It's okay, it's okay it's all okay. You're in the lab, the exact same one you work in every day except for the weekends and holidays. There's no reason to be panicking, not even close. So why do you feel lightheaded? Your breathing was short and choppy and you were sweating even though it's relatively cooler inside the lab. Oh, well maybe the fact that it's dark. And the doors are locked. And you hate both things. Hm, maybe that is what you're panicking about.
.....
This is embarrassing. Why you? Why did the damn generator decide that it wanted to stop working in the middle of your damn shift? Right now, you found that your hands were trembling and your chest felt tight. You were a professional, damn it! Stop shaking. You couldn't stop yourself from grabbing at the doors, shaking them as you stared at the little buttons that were usually green or red. Right now they were off entirely. You weren't going to lose your shit. Not now.
Your thoughts were pulled away by a skeletal hand gently sliding around your shoulder and coaxing you to turn around. Oh, it's him. Vanilla. He was here in the same room as you. You felt embarrassed when you flinched at his touch, seeing him pull his hand away as he recoiled. Your thoughts were entangled, trying to rationalize but only making it worse. He seemed to be saying something, but you didn't quite catch it.
"....it's-..ne...are-...kay?...aking..."
"Huh? Sorry, I'm...Sorry I'm not understanding."
You crumpled under his concerned gaze, your eyes and hands immediately dropping down to the ground. You could feel the tension in the air as your shoulders began to shake slightly. You tried to stifle your overtly egregious reaction as best as you could without coming across as suspicious, clearing your throat.
"....Are you-...kay?"
"Oh- yeah. Yeah I'm fine." You forced out, your voice was shaky and unsure as you cringed at your terrible lie. You could practically see it, staunch disbelief overshadowed by intense concern on the skeletons face. But this wasn't his problem, it wasn't his responsibility to deal with. You weren't some sniveling child. A flood of determination filled you as you fought to keep your emotions in check, willing your facade not to crack badly enough that it broke social regulations. You were fine. It's fine.
You stammered out an apology as your face flushed red with humiliation, and you ducked your head back down before straightening up like a bullet. His hand was back to touching your shoulder as you were clasping your hands together so tightly your knuckles were white. "Hey." His voice was gentle, soft, a balm. Your eyes are locked with white, rounded eyelights when you tilt your head back to look at him.
Before you could speak, he was coaxing you to walk. He pulled you down to sit on the floor against the wall, his smile reassuring. He said nothing as he trailed his hands down your arms and down your wrists before he intertwined his hands with your own. You felt a strange hum had reverberated through your skin, a soothing sensation like a purr. You didn't even realize that your eyes were watering until you felt tears slipping past your eyelashes as you blinked.
"Does that feel okay?" He asked, and you felt your face slightly contort into confusion. You couldn't find it in yourself to speak, your throat tightening. "..what?" "I'm trying to share my magic with you, dork." He smiled, and you could see the slight glow between his bones shine a swiss blue. You were confused, but it was light, and pretty. You were silent but you nodded your head. It seems like he was sharing his magic with you so that your soul could be soothed. Funny how that works.
He looked relieved, gently squeezing your hands before relaxing again. "Good. Just focus on that feeling, alright?" You nodded. Stars above did you feel pathetic. Your crush was sitting in front of you and comforting you because you were acting like a mess over the dark. It was embarrassing, and your eyes darted down to stare at how both of your hands were intertwined together. His bone felt smooth, slightly cold.
You've never seen his bones glow like this, and you wondered why. He occasionally used his magic inside the lab, but he never glowed quite like this before. Is this what it looked like when he was extending magic from his soul to someone else? "You look really pretty." You felt the words slip past your lips involuntarily, almost in a slight daze as you did so.
You instantly regretted it when you looked up to see his expression. His eyelights shrank by half a fraction, and his grin twitched upwards into a slightly surprised expression. "What? I look- look pretty??" His face was dusted with a blue hue as he spoke, and in turn your face was flooded with warmth. You tried to correct yourself, but stumbled as you did so.
"Uhm-I meant that your bones-! That your bones are pretty since they're glowing right now. They're bright and blue and uh-" His face only grew more flushed, and yours did as well. He snorted as you tried to fix what you said but ultimately failed. His eyelights grew fuzzy, dilated as he looked at you. "So am I not pretty when I glow?" "No-! No no that's not- you're really pretty-! Uh- shit I mean-"
He leaned forward and your voice died in your throat as he did so, his face a mere few inches from your own. His expression softened, his eyelights almost threatening to mold into a different shape. For a moment, though you thought it was your imagination, you thought you could see a heart. He pressed his skull against your forehead, and he spoke in a hushed tone. "I think you're pretty, too."
Oh that really did it. Your lips quirked up into a smile, your body going lax as your shoulders dropped. The smell of pine and frost enveloped your senses, something you didn't mind. You couldn't stop your voice from cracking, sounding smaller. "You think so?" "Yeah," He glowed brighter, and somehow the darkness of the lab didn't seem to be so bad. He was like a firefly, a blue nightlight in some ways.
You closed your eyes, your brow scrunching up and your smile widening. "Thank you, I...I appreciate you doing this for me." You slightly could feel your body trembling still, but it was now at a minimum as your breathing slowed. He chuckled, squeezing your hands once more but gentler now. "Of course, anytime. We don't have to talk about this outside the lab if you'd like." He reassured, placing both of your hands on his lap. You opened your eyes to see his face closer now.
"No...I think that... I'd like to. If that's what you think is y'know, okay." You murmured, mustering up any courage you could form. Both of you knew the layers of this conversation, but neither of you seemed to mind. He let go of your hands, and opened his arms in a welcoming gesture towards you. You leaned forward, wrapping your arms loosely around his neck and pressing your face against his shoulder. He rubbed your back as he embraced you. "I think that's more than okay, starlight."
Closing Notes: gRAUGHTHGUFUWOSB I loved writing this so much you have no idea how silly I felt as I'm kicking and swinging my feet. I hope this was good enough, I had a lot of fun
I'm trying to think of weapons for some of the skeletons because the idea that they have certain weapons for fighting feels cool to me. I think some have them for their own reasons while others would prefer to keep to their normal magic attacks for their own reasons. Below, I'll explore and even have some reasons as to why they have it!
Vanilla: Normal magic bone attacks. He has no reason to summon his own weapons
Cyperus: Normal magic bone attacks. I think that if he had to have a weapon, though, it would be a sword. It requires precision, control, and more up close combat. All of these fit his character because he shows to have a very strong restriction on his magic to prevent his opponent from dying. Not only does it fit into his heroic standpoint, but it also shows that he is willing to get close to his opponent. Here, it's physical, but it can also be metaphorical. After all, he showed that he was willing to do so with Frisk, someone he knew was dangerous
Red: Nothing, because like Vanilla he has no need to summon his own weapon. He thinks it's pointless for himself, he's strong enough without a weapon.
Pitch: Pitch would have a sword that turns into almost a pointed edged whip, showing how when it's a blade, it shows how he's precise and has clarity with his actions when he decides to get the job done. However, the fact that it's a whip at times can also show how he's afraid of actual, personal emotions and tries to lash out. He wants to avoid that. It lashes out just like his own anger, the points of the whip even being able to detach as projectiles to prove how his anger can get out of his control and how it harms others
Powder: If Powder had a weapon he seems like the type to have a hammer that changes size with his level of magic or mental state. He's a character that wants to create, build others up, like a hammer. A hammer is not originally meant to harm, but rather put things together and create something to be better. He wants to be close with Stretch and yet feels distant, so he tries to build their relationship up bit by bit. He had to learn how to use how he works with others to his advantage, showing the strength of how he can build others up while also progressing in the same way. He's able to use that strength to protect others, which is his job as a royal guard and his job as an older brother. But the bigger it gets, the more he weaponizes that even if it's involuntary. It's something that once was useful but is something he can use as a weapon to cause bigger hits emotionally and physically with a greater impact. The bigger it gets, the more overwhelmed he gets, showing how he has the weight and responsibility to care for others being a serious and yet draining task. It also shows how he puts his image of being put together above himself as well, as a hammer is a representation of how he's built his way up to where he is now- a positive example for the guard and a brother who knows what he's doing
Stretch: no need for a weapon, oh no. Not only is he a Sans personality and therefore has his own reasons, but he's softer than them as well. He's a softer Papyrus, and so weapons aren't what he's after
Saint: Saint would have a thigh bone or use something like a meat cleaver for his other activities. I feel that for Saint, it's an extension of how he's weaponized trauma of starvation and violent betrayal. He has something that he already had and worked with what he had, which was a large item that works like a club. It bashes usually things that are in his way, like how he was bashed when he was in the way of Undyne and Alphys but ended up surviving. He has to get up close and personal, something he struggles with emotionally but not otherwise. He would have to put his defenses down first
Lunar: He doesn't have the magic to create anything, but he is absolutely good at using just his normal magic bones, he also uses his physical strength to fight since he's the strongest Papyrus physically.
Carmine: Carmine would have a spear of sorts because he keeps those at a distance while also simultaneously hurting them. He has to be precise in everything he does, from the way he fights to the way he interacts with others. Staffs usually show power and grace, and that's how he's perceived and yet with the blade at the end it shows how he truly is despite the delicacy that comes with the details of the staff. He has a sleek weapon because he has always deliberately *chosen* to have distant relationships with others, mainly Rus. He fits within the Queens standard as well before even being in the Royal guard, a distinction between Razz and him because he's just able to stay the same and is only encouraged to stay the same. Razz had unsteady weapons because it wasn't as bad as before being in the Royal Guard, only to be remade with what he already has into something more intense. Carmine remains the same and doesn't change at all- remaining stale as he was already distant from Rus and never got to be viewed as someone who changed since he avoids that vulnerability even with Rus.
Rus: Please, he's strong enough as it is with his physical body and his magic attacks. He has no need, and he lacks a desire to make his own weapon. The world as it is, the entire underground, is violent and cruel. He sees this, and chooses not to participate in it
Razz: Maybe Razz would have large, bulky hammer-like gloves that work as his fists. I feel that he can't exactly cause direct harm to his opponent without being all up close and personal. He has to get personal, and it shows how he's willing to go straight into the head of battle rather than keeping a distance and attacking from afar. He's a controlling character who fears a loss of control, and his weapon shows how he sometimes brutes his way into things without taking a step back and stopping to think. It shows who he really is, since he ends up just harming those he tries to force a connection with. He ends up just harming his relationship with Cash, his brother, for example because of his controlling, anxious behavior. I want to note that Razz originally has those weapons that are more messy and clunky at first before he is in the royal guard- which changes to be more sleek in design to show how he has changed only in appearance as a guard but still harms with the same weapon. (A way to show how he's also afraid of change- which is why he keeps the same weapon.) It shows how he damaged others before he even was a guard, just in a less professional way until he's accepted by the Queen who makes him more precise and clean in appearance and yet only worsens the damage he causes as they also grow in size at the same time.
Cash: No magical weapon is needed from him as he avoids fighting anyways. He may not be physically that strong, especially because his magic is sick, but he has his ways. Normal magic attacks with their erratic behavior can flow well enough for his survival. He also has no need to destroy anything when he does it well enough. No need to be personal when you avoid fighting in general
Coffee: I think Coffee just doesn't quite use what he has been taught by using rifles simply because he wants to see the bigger picture and is willing to sacrifice what he's been taught in order to help, learn, and be able to break the system in a subtle way. He's strong enough without it, and he doesn't need violence to get his point across.
Wine: Wine seems like he'd have rifles since he's a sharp shooter. He's precise and direct, just like his weapon- but it can show that he's so focused on the small details that he can't see the bigger picture at times. While his brother would be raised with that ability, he changes what he's been taught to fit who he is instead. Wine teaching Coffee how to be a precise sharpshooter can also be a way he hands down his almost blind perception of the state of the underground- kinda like how a scope would abstract you from your surroundings.
Ace and Bullet: they both would choose a smaller weapon like a simple pistol because it's small and yet deadly. They have a very playful and almost disarming type of personality but they can still cause damage despite this. As bosses they need to look at the bigger picture with clarity, pistols still needing to be aimed correctly but having the capacity to see everything before the shooter. They have chosen to specifically choose to be flashy in appearance but be more subtle with their violence by making it a small weapon of choice. They have other weapons to work with like crowbars, but their go to will always be a weapon they can grab quickly- like how they have to be ready for anything to strike them but wanting to be the one to strike first.
_______________________________________________
Reaper: Reaper would have chain scythes specifically in my opinion too because he's a more violent, precise character. The chains can resemble how he reaches out and harms others upon impact as he pulls them closer. Scythes are Death's weapon, and I feel that the reason they curve is not just for a more efficient kill, but it almost pulls someone in closer as an intimate act of vulnerability. Maybe they can shift to almost small scythes on a loop that's attached to his hip always and they possibly remain small when he needs a more subtle strike. When he does strike? It's with the chained scythes that just grow in size from their original state.
Crow: I think his brother would have a lantern as his "weapon" or at least item of choice. He's meant to be a peaceful death, so a lantern to work as a guide through the darkness of the afterlife would be a neat concept to think about with his characterization. He's clear headed, precise, and a figure of guidance through a peaceful transition of change. He doesn't harm others like Reaper does, remaining as a guide rather than someone that aims to be a vulnerable act of violence. He's not vengeful or ruthless, and he's never had to be as someone who guides peaceful souls to the afterlife
Killer: Killer seems to really like knives. I feel that if used correctly, it can also show his like- character. I feel that he collects knives outside his timeline but the main knife he uses is the one that originally was meant for the player, or technically Chara's knife. It's a neat way of him weaponizing his trauma while also showing betrayal of him wielding it despite it being a source of his suffering. The knife represents the LV that humans have, and he uses that to weaponize what was once used against him to harm others or to end what he considered the suffering of those underground. It shows how he strikes from behind, an unexpected move with his erratic behavior. He's up close, personal with his weapon. The way Cupid uses his weapon to be an intimate act of violence is similar to Killer- except Killer uses the knives he has as a way to call back to what his suffering was caused by and sees that intimacy as a way to almost get back at his trauma
Dream: Dream has a bow and arrow, something that I also think would have the ability to turn into a harp. He is precise, focused, and has to take initiative while still being detached from the fight- like how he's truly detached from his brother and can't get up close and personal. What's different with his distance from him is that the arrows in Dream's bow flies out, free of his control and yet charged with direction. He has to know exactly what he wants and trust in the arrow like how he trusted fate when he first became the Guardian and eventually God of Positivity. The harp just shows the delicacy, peace, and calm of his soul. The idea that he'd only transform his bow to its canonical staff would be to deter hits, when he does have to be up close and personal with his brother when they fight. He doesn't want to outright just want to swing and be erratic, using his staff to stop getting harmed by keeping distance between the blades and himself
Nightmare: I feel that Nightmare would have Khopesh blades since they're considered twin weapons. They're up close, personal, and the fact that they're twin weapons mimics how he's weaponized and grown to use the trauma of his past to harm others. He is balanced out with Dream by using these weapons as he's not afraid to lash out and harm who he deems as too close. He knows that his negativity can physically harm Dream, just as Dream can harm him, so both almost have this silent acceptance to use weapons over using other attributes. Neither wants to kill the other, even if both can harm each other, but that comes with the risk of being vulnerable and letting each other close.
Closing Notes: i love weapons and I love symbolism that comes with it. I want it to actually fit with the characters without it just being a random decision (at least if it's not that kind of story where it's just a clusterfuck of fun and stuff) thank you for reading and please share what you think :-)
Soul Traits vs Monster Souls
TW: Suicide mentioned. It's not in detail, and rather brief, but I still respect others enough to put this here.
Each Soul Trait have their own traits, and it would make sense that only Humans have them. So, why don't we go down and show the uniqueness of each soul, hm? Id love your own interpretations on these as well and why. Whoo, let's go!
Determination: The most rare of souls, this soul is associated with a bright candy red color. They are far more ready to keep going, judged by how much you want something and the lengths you are willing to go to in order to make it happen. It is shown that this soul has been not only the rarest, but has evidence of doing things other souls have not. Not much is known about this soul, but has an issue with overflowing and becoming corrupt.
Excessiveness of this soul leads to Tenacity, being unwilling to give up and leading to their downfall
Corruption leads to Spite, pushing themselves over the limit and only growing bitter
Resistance against the soul's desire would lead to Irresolution
This soul trait is less likely to Fall Down but more likely to be Corrupt
Kindness: The second most rare of souls, this soul is associated with a bright lime green color. A scarcity in this realm, their soul is associated with helping others and extending empathy to others. Though often seen as a weak trait due to being easily discoloring, keeping this soul bright is challenging to many, but it ends up being rare to see it corrupted
Too much Kindness leads to Complicity, having a high risk of dying easier due to self sacrifice.
Going against the soul's desire would lead to Apathy, a lack of compassion
Corruption leads to Animosity, strong hostility to the point of hatred
This soul is more prone to Falling Down and Resistance, but is the less likely to be Corrupt and being in Excess
Integrity: The third most rare of souls, this soul is associated with a royal blue color. Given to those who hold strong morals, they strive to hold their promise and are adamant about keeping promises. Due to the world's condition, it is rare for this soul to be found more overflowed than corrupted.
Too much Integrity leads to Righteousness, unable to stop itself from thinking that all it's doing is for the good of others
Corruption leads to Conceit, leading to bias and egotism
Going against the soul's desire would lead to Deceit
This soul is more prone to corruption, Falling Down, and Resistance
This soul rarely has Excessiveness
Bravery: One of the most common, this soul is associated with a pumpkin orange color. Given to those who are confident and courageous, they keep going in the face of danger. They have the courage to keep going in times of hardship and are wonderful to befriend. Though the most common out of any soul, they are surprisingly hard to corrupt, but have a hard time being tamed.
Too much Bravery leads to Impulsivity, not knowing when to back down and often becoming ones own downfall as a result
Corruption leads to Stubbornness, especially if it's directed towards a bad goal and ends up hurting others
Resistance against the soul's desire would lead to Cowardice, too scared to do anything and often running away
It is harder for this soul to Corrupt and to Fall Down
This trait often has Excessiveness
Justice: One of the most common, this soul is associated with a aureolin yellow. Given to those with a strong sense of right and wrong, they are lawful and unwavering people. They cannot stand on the side when there's obviously conflict, and they are the first to step up to help. One of the least likely to overflow but often seen corrupted.
Too much Justice leads to Vengeance, an ambitious and powerful force
Corruption leads to Iniquity
Going against the soul's desire would lead to Injustice
This soul is more prone to Corruption
This soul hardly experiences overflow
This soul has lower rates of Falling Down
Patience: One of the most common, this soul is associated with a cyan blue. Given to those who can wait things out, knowing what's good for them in a quiet manner. Though more common than other souls, it's still hardly spotted nowadays. This is due to scientists classifying as such because having a healthy soul for this trait is uncommon.
Too much Patience leads to Stagnation, an idle soul
Corruption leads to Agitation, easily losing your calm and rationality
Going against the soul's desire would lead to Restlessness, unable to wait and becoming too quick to get results
This soul tends to Fall Down often
This soul is less prone to Corruption
This soul often has Resistance to its vessels
Perseverance: One of the most common, this soul is associated with a grape purple. Given to those who are persistent against all odds, they learn to overcome their challenges. The most likely Determination, they have a tendency to overflow vs having a lack of the trait.
Too much Perseverance leads to Inflexibility, adamant about not changing or compromising
Corruption leads to Blind Persistence, leading to their own self destruction
Going against the soul's desire would lead to Apathy, not caring enough to continue
This soul is less prone to Corruption
This soul is less likely to Fall Down
This soul often overflows in Excess
This soul often deals with Resistance with itself
Other: This is not quite a soul trait rather an ending result. Grey souls and Hatred are their own unique and special situations that need analyzing.
Grey Souls: This is what happens when someone completely loses their soul trait. It's hard to get it to fully turn grey, but there have been no reported incidents of what happens when fully grey. It is determined that a Human can't properly handle a soul where 25% or less of their Soul Trait is present, and usually there happens to be cases of suicide as a result. It's very challenging to change the soul to be back to a healthy percentage, but it's possible
Hate: When a soul becomes corrupted, it starts to crack and wither into a dark shade of black, becoming more and more as the underneath of the original color of the soul ends up turning here. There is little to no way of stopping this once it reaches dangerous levels, and because of it? It completely alters the Human, changing them until they are entirely consumed. No human has reached this point within recent times, but during the War between Monsters and Humans there were written scripts of Mages turning because of Corruption. But those scripts have been lost over time, so there's no real knowledge of what happens when it reaches over 80% of the Human's soul...
Now monster souls do not have soul traits. In fact, it would be impossible since they are made entirely of magic or (LOVE = LV) and do not have a body separate from their soul. However, their magic has their own unique colors and depending on the AU that simply has to do with their environment, stress, etc. Purple, red, orange, and yellow have the most stress. Blue, green, and white have the least. Of course, it can change, but if the soul is under too much stress, it can alter the color of ones magic permanently.
Closing Notes:
I tried my best to get everything here, hopefully I will not need to edit and change this. I hope that this fully explains my interpretation of Souls for later posts including them :)
Thank you

My gender is a little bit of a lot of people that are so much better than the other one
HUH??😭 Who is "the other one" and how am I a lot of people? Is it because I'm nonbinary? HELP??
Don't mess with me y'all, I'm nonbinary so the gang(me) will beat the other one
@vamppiko help me😭
Type "my gender is" on your phone and let your phone finish the sentence, then tag your moots to keep the chain going, I'll go first.
My gender is a little bit more intense than I thought I could have done

The 14 Skeleton Names:
As I type this, I know that I have a lot of other AU's I can put here, but I narrowed it down to the main 14 sets of brothers to keep it short. I'll make another separate posts including the other AU's and even the outcodes like Error, Ink, Killer, etc. Not every name I use is what others use within the community, so this just keeps things in line and even will explain the reasoning behind certain names! This is entirely based on that really cheesy trope of them all being roommates so take this as if they all decided to have names to differentiate each other! Also yes, UT brothers deserve names too, it's not fair that they hardly have their names changed in those fics and also I think that both of them would find it fun!
I also decided to name each of them with the same last name: Serrif. It's a font and I think that they'd all (mostly) agree that it's a good last name for them to share. After all, it's clear that none of the monsters underground had a need for last names.
Undertale Sans: Vanilla Serrif. Just like vanilla ice cream, Sans has a variety of AU's with each of their own unique "toppings." I find it fitting that the classic og has the name Vanilla because there's so much to do with vanilla ice cream, you can't do something new with something such as rocky road
Undertale Papyrus: Cyperus Serrif. Cyperus Papyrus, which is better known as Papyrus, is a species of long, aquatic flowering plants that is known for being a "paper plant." It has origins dating all the way back to when the font was first used on "Papyrus Paper." Now wouldn't that be a fun reason he chose the name? He's a smart, creative monster who would definitely do something like this.
Underfell Sans: Red Serrif. A classic, of course. He's more of a lazy type and I think that he'd name himself Red to seem cool, instead of naming himself after food like the og. He wouldn't put too much thought into his name, but it would stick rather well since he was one of the first to be moved from his universe.
Underfell Papyrus: Pitch Serrif. Pitch black like the leather he'd wear and pitch black like his so totally cool and edgy personality! He wanted a menacing name, and he wasn't going to just name himself after a color if it didn't sound cool! (He was going to name himself something cooler, but his brother named himself after a color and so he wanted them to secretly match with color coded names)
Underswap Sans: Powder Serrif. Not only is it a pretty color of blue, but it's a name that implies that he's nimble and almost "floating." He has a very active personality, so he found that it's a very fitting name! It's light like his personality and behaviors, he swears that it's a better name than just Blue. He wanted to put a little bit more thought into his name than "edgy him."
Underswap Papyrus: Stretch Serrif. Also a classic, there weren't many names that he found appealing. He was nicknamed things such as carrot, but it was actually Vanilla that helped him find his name. He commented that he was like a "stretched" out version of him, joking. Of course, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to make his name not only an inside joke, but almost a small pun that he loves.
Horrortale Sans: Saint Serrif. It actually wasn't his idea to be named Saint. He was more stubborn about his name since that was an identity he wanted to cling onto. However, this was still when he was just fresh outside of his underground. At the gentle persistence of his brother, he begrudgingly let himself not be so clingy about his name. The others weren't so cruel as to name him something like Axe, Swiss, etc. In fact, Powder actually was the one to come up with the name. It means a holy one, and Powder found that it was fitting because despite everything that happened: He prevailed, and kept to at least most of his morals. Saint values his name now as he opens a new chapter of his life
Horrortale Papyrus: Lunar Serrif. He was delighted to have a new name, even if he had a history with his previous name. There's a lot of shame in the underground, and so he ended up going with the name Lunar. It's pale, faded like his magic, but it also means the moon. Unlike the Sun, it is soothing and quiet, still ever bright but in its own way.
Swapfell Red Sans: Carmine Serrif. It's a very pretty shade of red, just like his magic. He liked the idea of making himself think of a pretty color, while also going by a name that had associations to his underground roots without specifically tying the name down to it. After all, the color carmine is the color of dried blood and is a raw pigment. As a result, he chose a name that suited his tastes
Swapfell Red Papyrus: Rus Serrif. So, he really did not care for changing his name. Some people say it's because it sounds like a name a dog would have, but it's actually because he liked the sound of it by itself separate from Papyrus. papy-RUS. Carmine tried to make him choose a different name, but he stuck with it
Swapfell Purple Sans: Razz Serrif. Raspberry purple is a beautiful shade of purple, and it happens to be the color of purple his magic is. So, for short, he chose to call himself Razz. Razz, however, is a word that means to heckle, ridicule, or to tease. It's a habit he happens to have, and because he's educated enough to have known this, it's the real reason he chose to name himself this
Swapfell Purple Papyrus: Cash Serrif. He has a lot of ties and intelligence revolving money, the best gambler underground in fact. He's lazy, but Razz refused him to go by anything that could be associated with his original name in the name of originality. This failed, of course. But, Razz let him keep it
Fellswap Gold Sans: Wine Serrif. Wine is a beautiful drink that was rare in his underground, but a pleasure he had nonetheless due to his ranking. It's also a beautiful color, so he found it only rational to name himself Wine. It's a reflection of his more classy personality, after all.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus: Coffee Serrif. He wanted to go by a name that complimented his brothers, so he did the same thing as Wine by naming himself after his favorite drink. He didn't need to put much thought into it, but it works nonetheless
Some reasons have more meaning than others, so uh,,,yeah👴👍
Pt 2 on the way
Loud and clear y'all, I'm now going to ask one more thing from you guys.
I have booped so much. So....so much...
I keep having Mitski repeating in my head
"I am hungry, I have been hungry, I was born hungry, what do I need..?"
And it's all thanks to this BOOP APOCALYPSE
Anyways, I decided the last boop before I pass out belongs to my own cat, Bingus. My belobed. This is a picture of her, she's my pride and joy
Me when I think about how Papyri is friends with their versions of Flowey changes but ultimately the OG implies that maybe Flowey cared because he probably was losing Hope and also again is just a child who was hurt beyond repair and then brought back as a flower. Papyrus and his brother appeared later on in life, which can show how he didn't want to see anyone who might've recognized him at some point or another. I think Papyrus is good with kids personally so y'know thinking about their dynamic makes me go
