been a while since i’ve done randomly generated pokemon fusions
What's your stance on Chara's current whereabouts? Do you think they've moved on or that they're still around post-freedom?
I personally feel like they're still around because I think it'd be weird for Flowey to talk so openly with someone during the analog clock dialogue... Also the "narrator" text appears a few times throughout the recent newsletters, and I subscribe to the narrahara theory.
I don't really know who the characters are addressing in either of those but I do think it'd make sense for Chara to be prevalent.
Really interested to hear your thoughts!
i think chara is the diegetic "role" the player plays in undertale's story (with caveats for the no mercy route, which is implied to metanarratively rip us and chara apart at the seams by maxxing out the LV mechanic), so really the answer depends on whether or not you've personally stopped replaying the game. optimally, i think that chara should be put to rest in a playthrough that ends on true pacifist. but of course it's fun to imagine what they would do/how they would interact if they were present after their death, just as flowey was.
as for narrachara, i subscribe to it in the sense that there are lines of narration in the game that are clearly heavily influenced by their memories or outright stated by them, but i don't think it's them outright narrating every line. moreso, the flavor text is meant to roughly reflect the way they react to the environment, because it's how we, the player, are encouraged to react to it as well. once again, it's a blurring of chara's and our pov.
i don't think the newsletter narration is chara. nor do i think the extra-canonical dialogue from flowey from the 5th anniversary would be directed at chara. sure, he's open, but it's nowhere close to the tone and implied tension he has when he talks to "us"/chara after the pacifist ending.
also how would a disembodied spirit be capable of (not) buying him a red bike with a golden basket. i think the implication here is that either flowey is either speaking to frisk, or it's not something we should interpret diegetically.
tonight’s follower doodles!! these were super super fun - I hope I did justice to your requests/characters…i’ll be doing more tomorrow!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS
THAT DOOR LEADS INTO A COMPLETELY SEPARATE HALLWAY
Alright he has to have like, three separate entrance doors in his room that can be changed via portal to separate parts of the ship for the sake of convenience and that's why it took him so long to learn the layout.
Should the fact that I'm counting increments in alarm clock times and working nearly unnoticeable continuity errors into lore be concerning or is it a good thing I'm doing my homework?
Should I write a paragraph on how it's possible Lord Hater's closet door overlaps with his bedroom entrance in multiple separate episodes?
(Bedroom door in front of bed ^)
(Also happens in The Prisoner when we're first introduced to his room)
(Closet door in front of bed ^)
Imagine if the Lati colors were an example of müllerian mimicry! A Togekiss avoiding predators or other threats by looking like something as imposing as a legendary!
Togekiss coloration variants!
today in "google AI is fucking useless because it hallucinates things that never happened", i bought a couple CVS thermometers that have both been acting up, tried to search if there had been a problem with the whole product line:
there is no record of this product recall. it did not happen. the date "feb 8 2024" is the date someone listed a thermometer for sale on ebay.
Megamind moment
(An idea where they kidnap Sylvia, meaning its Wanders turn to try and save her. Much to Peepers chagrin he has to deal with Wander using Syls phone to communicate.)

MESSAGE TO ALL BITCHES: PLEASE SURVIVE
I feel like I should clarify that yes, I'm aware the relationship from clinical trial is toxic and unrealistic. I've also been made aware that the game kinda just follows a shipping dynamic that the dev likes and that the pair is romanticized outside of the game on their social media.
However, I still like this relationship because the game itself does not justify any of the actions committed, it is an interesting character dynamic, and the two do genuinely care about each other. The first ending isn't triumphant and the second ending isn't perfect, even if it does seem romanticized by its creator.
I would never, ever approve of this stuff in real life; it's just interesting to try and see them try to make things work in fiction! Character studying is fun :)
