A drawing of the Pale King as a human, he wears a mask and crown, as well as a long intricate cloak. he has long and messy white hair. drawn next to him is a version without his mask and crown, revealing his face to be dark and stone-like. He lacks any proper facial features besides a mouth. drawn underneath the maskless king is a drawing of the king in his original Wyrm form. To the left of the drawing is a text that reads: "The Pale King was the first to popularise mask-wearing, as an attempt to present “more appealing” to the wider populace. Though almost no one revered his unmasked form in the slightest. PK still follows the original hollow knight lore, originally being a Wyrm before becoming more human-like. His non-humanity aided him in being worshipped like a god."

Had a lot of fun with these ones. An idea I had for the more “animalistic” enemies in HK was to have them be conglomerations of discarded masks and corpses, the designs of which I took a lot of inspiration from the demons in Ultrakill.

I also had both the Grimm Troupe masks, and void related entities have a more ‘skeleton’ theming, it really makes the Troupe feel like more of a cult.
