Joe Biden could get an ice pick lobotomy 1940s style and he’d still be more fit for presidency than Donald Trump
I need someone to do a video essay-length deep dive into how 75% of the BG3 fandom fell so hard for Astarion's manipulative seductor act that they believe that's his actual personality. This man has to practice his lines and still fumbles them constantly. He flat-out says it's all a front because he believes his sex appeal is the only reason anyone would keep him around, which is tragic. When he drops the act, he becomes this kind of silly man rediscovering what it means to be himself, and what it means to both love and be loved. He says "I'm all pointy ears, love." while turning his head to show off those pointy ears. Let him be silly, let him be awkward! It's so much more authentic then him being a walking innuendo.
He has a mid charisma stat with a bonus for deception and rolled a nat 20 on all y'all.
1. Goblin shark. He’s just so <3
2. Wobbegong. He is simply a rug your honor
3. Frilled shark. Why does he look like that
4. Saw shark. Sword. That’s all
5. Greenland shark. Man can get older than the US and I love that for him

I've recently started exploring Goth music and culture and as a result have been sifting through YouTube channels; I've watched some for years, and others I just found or rediscovered within that last year. I decided to make a list because YouTube's search function is absolute trash and I wanted to share what I think are great alternative YouTubers.
Rattus Rattus @RattusRattus
Their name is Rabbit and they make a lot of diy focused content as well as vlogs, lookbooks, grwms, doll collecting, and thrift videos.
My favorite video of theirs is "Latest Diys and Mends..." The video showcases pieces they've mended, up cycled, dyed, etc. They have A LOT of variety in their content, mainly focused on punk and goth. They are very talented with making clothing and jewelry. Very fashion based. Long form; typically 45min-1hr long videos. Posts frequently.
Kitty Kochan @KittyKochan
Her name is Ko and posts a variety of "goth tik tok reactions", outfits ideas, reactions to media with gothic themes, hauls, as well as tattoo tours and q&a videos.
My favorite videos of hers so far has been "Discover Goth Music With Me...". It's just as the title says; she digs through Spotify recommendations to discover more goth artists/bands. (She has a great playlist that is linked in the video). Simple video, but very nice and I wish more alternative YouTubers would do music related videos in this manner. Goth focused. Her videos can range from short to long depending on the subject matter; 8-30min typically. Posts frequently.
One of few goth poc creators who are actively posting.
Alyssa Rayn @alyssarayn
One of my favorite YouTubers and one that gave me a push to start really getting into goth bc I just think she's cool dude. Her name is Alyssa and she makes a lot of reaction content, mostly of trends and discussions regarding goth and the way it's portrayed online. She also does grwms, unboxings, q&a videos, and has a gaming channel.
I initially found her through the "Snog, Marry, Avoid Goth Edition" video in which she reacts to an episode of a British TV show that featured another YouTuber, Emily Boo. Focused more on goth than metal. 10-30min vids. Normally posts twice a month but she disappeared 4 months ago and I'm very sad about it.
Madi Danger @MadiDanger
When I think deathrocker, I picture Madi with her deathhawk and hearse. She makes videos about anything and everything related to goth, metal, and punk; from music recommendations and debunking stereotypes, to physical media (vinyl, VHS, betamax, cassettes,) and Diys. Always informative and entertaining.
The first videos of her that I watched were, "Intro to Goth," and "Harmful Goth Stereotypes." Both are great videos for music suggestions and unlearning misconceptions. Equally focused on punk, goth, and metal. Short form videos, mostly under 10mins and posts YouTube shorts as well. Has a very "old YouTube" vibe. Usually posts non-short videos once a month.
That's it. If you read this far, thank you! I plan to make this a series and would also like recommendations for other alt YouTubers, especially if they are poc.

okay now that i've got your attention listen to me, what you're gonna do is you take your little phone, camera or notebook and you go outside and you look at the graffiti in your city and you look at all the stickers that are on lamp posts, and you're gonna photograph or write down the ones that evoke the most emotions - both positive and negative. You will then go home and look at the photos and either copy the local slogans you agree with or come up with counters to the things that made you uncomfortable or mad. You don't need five vauge anti-police patches when you can have some specific to your area and community. If you live in Poland you don't nees an "ACAB" patch, what you're looking for is "HWDP". It is instantly apparent to scene regulars if someone is an internet punk or an irl scene member just based on what wording if the same sentiment they have on them.
Look at photos of people at protests you stand for (or if you can and there's one happening soon - attend it). What's written on their banners? What slogans are short yet succinct and to the point? What's catchy? Can you make it shorter? Can you add a pictogram to visualise it? What's the sentiment? How would you carry the same meaning in your style of speaking?
Open spotify and set your location as the nearest decently sized city (or google, but google doesn't have your taste profile in mind when showing you results). See what alternative bands play there soon. Give them a listen, if you enjoy their music and can afford to, go to the concerts. While at the venue try to look for other event posters - it could just be a music spot that holds all kinds of events but it could be an actual alternative venue. Is it a bar? Maybe you can frequent it and make friends with other local scene members. Maybe you can learn what your local community issues are from them. If you can't afford to go or are underage, listen to the songs while following the lyrics. Is there a line that hits hard? A title that's a banger? An album that's super cool and just so happens to have a simple cover? Here are your next patch ideas.
If you would like to break out of the bubble of online punkism into the actual scene you gotta log off and go into the real world. Punk is about breaking from the heard and non-conformism, and by copying every cool patch you see on pinterest or tumblr you are accidentally outing yourself as someone who doesn't have their own voice. Try to find it, I bet it has some unique things to say and I wanna hear what! It should be at conversation with things happening in your immidiate community. If you live in Bosnia you won't do much to defund the LLPD, but you can make change in the enviroment you actually live in.
Punks not about repeating the same sentiments like a broken record, it's about embodying them. And I mean actually embodying not just in fantasies of heroically beating down rapists. It's calling out weird behaviour of your friend's partner or helping a survivour of abuse get safe shelter so she can report her brutal husband without fear. It's donating that 2.5,- that you saved buying soda on sale to a local lifeline. It's making life safer and better for the people in your community before you focus on oversees problems.
