..What that hand do though? π (I'M SO SORRY FOR MY BEHAVIOR)
Oh my Godβ IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!
(Slight St. Trina Spoilers Below)
This might also mean (if the nymph comparisons were intentional) that in either a second dlc or second game, she might come back!
I'm pretty sure in different versions of the myths, Daphne at least comes back from being turned into a tree after supposedly dying, though I'm not too sure about Minthe. Which means that St. Trina might be able to come back to life from dying/becoming a flower!
She coming back you guys, she's coming back!
So, this is going to be my first post on Tumblr... Me talking about the possible anthousai, or flower nymph, symbolism (???) with St. Trina. I'm probably just sleep deprived and my brain is all shriveled from too much caffeine and blue light, but just hear me out...
I've always been really big into Greek mythology and video games, so it was no wonder that my brain immediately went to, "St. Trina is a FLOWER NYMPH???" the very moment she popped onto my screen. She fits the description perfectly.
Flower nymphs are described to be immortal being with hyacinth-like hair and, in typical Greek fashion, very beautiful. Now, we can check the hyacinth-like hair off as a 'yes' since Trina clearly has bright purple hair. And now, I also believe we can check the beautiful part off as 'yes' too since Trina is very beautiful, but also because beauty is often also compared to the youth of a woman as well. And we all know St. Trina is youthful.
Something that also made me think about flower nymph symbolism is, of course, the π§ππ°πΈπ¦π³π΄. St. Trina has a lot to do with flowers, such as the St. Trina's Lily that you can find in-game. Once you defeat Miquella and Radahan, you can go back to a now dead Trina and retrieve a "helm" from her that is also a flower. You find St. Trina in a flowery area as well. So, clearly, flowers are a big part of her character.
But, what I also want to mention is the state you find her in. When you find her, she is seems as though she is sprouting out of a giant plant. Now, this, in my own head, also seems to be related to the whole nymph thing. Take, for instance, Minthe. Minthe is a water nymph that was trampled to death by either Persephone or Demeter, depending on the myth, and then turns into the mint plant upon dying. Daphne, another nymph, turned into a laurel tree while running away from Apollo, dying in the process depending on who you ask as well.
What we can take from this is whenever a nymph dies they turn into their respective plant, that having been stated multiple times as well in Greek mythology. This all further solidifies my analysis on St. Trina having nymph symbolism, specifically that of an anthousai/flower nymph.
Damn, I rambled for way too long for my first post... Anywayβ Goodbye and All Hail Her Majesty of Sleep!πͺ»

As the only person using the tag "Elden Ring Queelign," the only one making posts about Queelign that are positive, and are one of the few people posting about him at all...
I hereby crown myself the number one Queelign fan on Tumblr at this very moment. So...
/j (.. maybe . ..)
Something horrible about not knowing how to draw is that I have all these little people in my head that are probably going to stay in there forever, unless I write about them instead. Which I probably won't do cause I'm tired and also, ironically enough, suck at writing.
Just watched The Lego Batman Movie with one of my younger siblings since I had the DVD and... I didn't remember it being this fruity, hello???
I need this man both CARNALLY and respectfully.
I need him in my arms and in my bed.
Sunday singing Cruel Angel's Thesis.
I can't stop thinking about it.
Ya'll, I just got reposted with the tags being, "I FOUND A QUEELIGN FAN THEY'RE REAL" and "I don't see the vision but I support you."
Curious, I scrolled through the entirety of the posts under the "Fire Knight Queelign" tag and, uh...
Guys? Why am I the only one who said something nice about him there? HELLO?? WHAT DID MY BOY DO??? π
No, family, I'm not searching for names on baby naming sites because I'm pregnant. I'm looking for names for the little characters in my brain that will almost for sure stay inside my head for all eternity and never see the light of day.
Yeah, I noticed that too when I saw it! Sunday has a lot of religious symbolism literally everywhere in his character, religious traumaβ’ included, so it's not really surprising.
Sadly, I'm not as touched up or knowledgeable on Christianity as I am with other topics, (*cough cough* Greek mythology) so I can't really say anything about it other than I know it is a direct reference to that painting.
(Spoilers for Penacony Quest Below!)
I feel like people are not talking enough about how Sunday literally almost ascended in his boss fight, as far as I can tell, anyway.
Like, he was the 'Embryo of Philosophy.' He was in the middle of turning into an Aeon following the path of Philosophy and ascending to take the place of Order instead of reviving Ena without his knowledge.
I think it is really sad when you think about how Sunday fully believed he was doing the right thing and tried to revive Ena, only to be tricked into unknowingly starting to ascend into Aeonhood.
I could ramble on and on about how sad of a character Sunday is and all that, but I have to stay on topic for now.
Anyway, back to his ascension.
So, I do want to point out something I noticed during his boss fight that I found rather... interesting.
During his third phase, we all know about his big attack that practically nukes your team, right?
Well, during that attack, we see a hand coming down and reaching towards Sunday, to which he reaches back and they touch fingers, causing the attack to happen.
The attack and scene in question.
Now, most people tend to assume that this is Ena, and I do as well. At least, I did think it was Ena until I stared at the screen a bit too hard and went, "Wait a damn minuteβ"
Dearest gentlereader, care to take a little looksie at Ena for me?
Ena, the Order.
Do you see that? Their hands?
That's right! Ena's hands don't match the hands during Sunday's boss fight at all.
So, I am going to tell you that this is not Ena and not Xipe either, because that wouldn't make sense at all. Even then, Xipe's hands are a deep blue, so that wouldn't match either.
Now, I know during that move, Sunday speaks as if he is talking to Ena, yes. However! If Sunday is truly oblivious to the fact he is ascending and is under the full belief that he is reviving Ena, he probably also does not realize that who he is talking to. IS. NOT. ENA.
So, who is it? Who is this this mysterious hand coming from the heavens? Well, what if I say it is the Aeons version of Sunday's hand?
Alright, don't scroll or click off, just hear me out!
The hand shares certain similarities to both Ena and Xipe. (The white part with the gold design being reminiscent of Ena. The thumb also shares a bit of Xipes color scheme, albeit with a bit of a stretch.)
You can also see during the scene that there are angel feathers coming down from where the hand comes from, something neither of the other Aeons possess. But you know who has feathers and wings? The handsomest man in Penacony, that's who!
During the build-up to the move, the subtitles were repeating the words from his diary, if I am correct, (which might has well just been a Bible at that point) until you get to the hand scene, as if slowly bridging the gap between his mortal body and his soon-to-be Aeon form.
Am I crazy? Am I right? I have no clue!
I might be totally off the mark with this, but I'm posting this anyway.
Bye ya'll, hope I didn't completely waste your time!
