There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.

Gazal was wounded on November 10th, when, as her family fled Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital, shrapnel pierced her left calf. To stop the bleeding, a doctor, who had no access to antiseptic or anesthesia, heated the blade of a kitchen knife and cauterized the wound. Within days, the gash ran with pus and began to smell. By mid-December, when Gazal’s family arrived at Nasser Medical Center—then Gaza’s largest functioning health-care facility—gangrene had set in, necessitating amputation at the hip. On December 17th, a projectile hit the children’s ward of Nasser. Gazal and her mother watched it enter their room, decapitating Gazal’s twelve-year-old roommate and causing the ceiling to collapse.
UNICEF estimates that a thousand children in Gaza have become amputees since the conflict began in October. “This is the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history,” Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a London-based plastic-and-reconstructive surgeon who specializes in pediatric trauma, told me recently.
The settlers are already planning the names of cities in Palestine.

Biden approves ISRAELI TERRORIST ATTACKS on RAFAH for SLAUGHTERING Palestinian Children and Civilians
Quoting unnamed Egyptian officials, Al Araby Al Jadeed reports that the US has agreed to Israel’s plan for an military operation in Rafah, southern Gaza, in return for Israel refraining from carrying out a major attack on Iran.
“The American administration showed acceptance of the plan previously presented by the occupation government regarding the military operation in Rafah in exchange for not carrying out a large-scale attack against Iran,” an official was quoted saying.
“The Israeli plan relies on the method of displacement, by dividing Rafah into numbered squares, so that one square after another is targeted, forcing those in it to move away from it, specifically towards Khan Younis and the Al-Mawasi area.” The officials said that Egypt is preparing to deal with any possible impacts the operation may have.
