I’m Seeing A Lot Of Posts About The New Bill Completely Ignoring The Impact It’s Going To Have On

I’m seeing a lot of posts about the new bill completely ignoring the impact it’s going to have on Traveller and Romany communities.

And this isn’t a ‘why is nobody talking about this?!’ post, it’s a very, very gentle reminder that one of the most discriminated-against groups in the UK has just been effectively outlawed, and we need to put that front and centre when we talk about the problems with this bill.

Not just because, you know, that’s fucked up, but because there are a LOT of people on all sides of the political spectrum who would happily let that part of the bill pass quietly. More people than you know.

So it’s up to us to say “No, there will be no compromise” and fight tooth and nail to get EVERYTHING in this bill shut down.

So when you’re protesting your right to protest (lol normal island), remember to protest other people’s right to exist, too.
