Pro Bending: LoK

Probending was fun to watch and a major part of the first season of the Legend of Korra, but I often felt is was rushed.  One thing that felt was lacking was half time entertainment.  Where were the shows, adds, and entertainment that come with other sports.  I think halftimes might have helped the pacing and let the audience explore the world more.  

Even though Aunt Wu was talking to Sokka, I think this can also apply to Zuko.  

I can easily see this during the next Fire-Nation Avatar.  And since the Fire-Nation is based off Japan I can see this totally working.  

Avatar but its a summer anime in the 90s and they still have powers and stuff but also live like normal highschoolers

I’ve always thought Sokka with his hair down looked like James from Team Rocket.  Wonder if they could cosplay as each other.  

I’m a big fan of the game SKY: Children of Light.  In the game, there are different seasons where spirits come and bring new stuff.  This is my idea for a season.  

This is the finalized version(s) of my bending chart. I overhauled the whole thing and updated some of the symbols.  I’m pretty satisfied with it, though I may change the symbol for “Ice” in the future.

Avatar VS Korra:  Disconnecting to a changing world.

Why do fans complain that there is too much technology in Legend of Korra?  

There have been a lot of fans who are unhappy with how much the world of LOK has technologically advanced in the last 70 years.  

While at the same time, other fans argue that major technological changes in 70 years is completely plausible, and sight recent history.  

The issue here is that people keep comparing LOK to real life. A story isn't meant to be 100% realistic; otherwise we'd have very few "happily ever after".

The real issue is that the world of Avatar has changed so much that many fans no longer feel connected to it. It's going back to a favorite restaurant and the menu has completely changed. Or picking up a favorite game, only to find the rules are so different that you can't play anymore.  

Regardless of how a franchise changes, there will always be people who feel confused or left out.  Fans should be empathetic toward each other, and not try to tear down someone just because they have a different opinion.  

Major changes in 70 years are completely realistic to our modern day, but that doesn’t mean it's enjoyable. If you asked an 80-yr-old what they thought of the present day, You'll find that many are unhappy with how much has changed and the struggle coping with that change.

LOK isn't reality. It's a story. And the main purpose of every story is to be enjoyed.

What ethnicity should Republic City represent?

Thinking back to Republic City..... If it's a fusion of Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation Which represent China and Japan respectively.

Then maybe Republic City should represent a country that has both Chinese and Japanese influences.   Maybe Korea or Hong Kong.   Though I'm not sure if you could consider those countries a fusion a China and Japan.
