i don’t know if anyone else has talked about this, maybe i just overanalyze things too much, but i feel like if Rand had been around when the Kashmir remaster came out, he would’ve hated it. Rand’s whole thing is never changing, being stuck in the past (i have other plans to make long posts about how nbr represents different aspects of change, don’t worry) so when he hears that a song from after his sister’s death, after the others left Galloway, is not only old enough to need a remaster, but has been replaced almost entirely by that remaster, i don’t think he could’ve accepted that.

i don’t think i’ve ever had so much fun as i did in this event. i experienced so much excitement creating content for the au i got. (and probably will continue to) so much love to @monetmightexist for putting so much thought and love towards my baby au, i smiled any time i saw any of it, and legit kicked my feet reading “we’re open on sundays” and even more love to @misclickduo (totally not semifontos) for putting together this whole thing. i owe you a soul debt now for the amazing work you’ve done.

The Results of the Misclickduo AU Tournament

It's been a long event! Though, it started a day later, the event was 37 days long! 37! That's our longest event yet!

The end results are certainly not what I had expected! But alas, it is time to reveal the names behind the anonymous symbols!

Coming in first place:

Description: coffee shop au- slime works at coffee shop (with really bad coffee) to support himself and flippa, and eventually meets mariana. in normal slimeriana fashion,the two hate each other at first, but over time, and with a bit of help from flippa (much like the scene between lilo and david in lilo and stitch) the two start to hate each other a bit less (if you can’t tell, this is supposed to be very cheesy)

actually……1 more thing because I realised I haven’t posted this yet. the best & worst piece of art I’ve ever made - 3D shark called biscuit that I modelled for a class a few years ago. toiled on him for hours, cried over him, went on a journey with him. still failed the class. he haunts me to this day

I’ve been thinking a lot about the clockwork troy and I have my official contribution of theory.

What if Troy was never human?

Both the real Troy and his mom die because of complications from childbirth, and Extraordinary Lougferd feels like he can’t replace his wife, because nothing could ever replace her. But Troy? That can be arranged. Troy becomes the first clockwork soldier, and the standard ones come later. They’re presented first as friends for children, with a young mechanical Troy and his human older brother being used as example. They eventually evolve into servants, then soldiers. All the while, Troy is none the wiser that he isn’t organic, all updates and modifications being done while he’s asleep.

Troy being called the baby of the family? That’s cause he was a baby when he died. Him saying concussions cancel each other out? That’s because sometimes when you whack a device, you can get it working again. Him knocking someone out for stuttering? That’s his subconscious keeping him from being knocked out to fix malfunctions. Terrorist Troy? That’s the clockwork soldier programming activating. He has no idea everything he does is because he’s not human, simply because he was never human.
