Reminder that it's not healthy to stress-watch endless election coverage. It won't change the results. Save your energy and strength for any potential fights ahead.

Other suggestions: watch a movie, take a walk or bike ride, play with your pet if you have one, spend time with a family member, go for a drive, cook or bake something, do a craft, do some early holiday decorating, find a nice place to sit outside if weather allows, read a book, take a bath, organize something, hit the gym, have a hot drink, write a letter, journal, take a nap, go to a museum or park, color or draw, work on a puzzle.
If you have a favorite video or online de-stress activity, feel free to add to this pot.
something has gone deeply wrong when "focusing pragmatically on issues you can influence and working to make life better for yourself and your community" is considered an unserious distraction while "endlessly exposing yourself to media about distressing situations you can't control" is considered political engagement
A.I. photos are flooding social media and contributing to an Internet where we can't believe what we see. Spotting A.I. 📷s is an important media literacy skill.
None of us have time to research every image we see. We just need people to notice BEFORE THEY LIKE OR SHARE that an image might be fake. If unsure, check it or don't share.

I do actually care marginally about the guy in that reddit screenshot who voted for Trump and is now worried that he might lose his medicaid funding because I did not fucking stutter when I said healthcare is a human right but the people losing their internships and job offers to the hiring freeze are straight up hilarious.
This a a reminder to not fall victim to the sunk-cost fallacy. Just because you invested time and energy into something, does not mean you should indefinitely waste more time and energy on it, if you decide it’s not what you want anymore. This goes for anything, from books, to relationships, to jobs, to hobbies, etc.
If it’s not serving you anymore, move on.
