so many people hate seeing Criston on screen but he’s a dick in such a totally normal way that it makes him hysterically funny in contrast to the living anime characters he hangs out with. what an absolute master class in the character assassination of alicent hightower. in one scene they stripped her of all integrity, made her a coward, and a traitor to her king and family. what was the point, the point of anything of it.

alicent's character is arguably one of the most changed aspects of hotd from fire and blood and for what point. they tried to make her more sympathetic, less of a villain, and seemed to have only succeeded in destroying her loyalty and backbone.

edit: want to clarify that this has nothing to do with whether i think alicent did the right thing or not, it's that it's a complete betrayal of who she is as a character and an insult to what she personally upholds, especially in terms of fire and blood
