txt ☆ˎˊ˗ dgwm i'm not a fan of generative ai but some of these technologies have existed longer than statistically most people using this site. lawl and that a lot of this is just moral panic and. to be honest. a lot of problems ppl argue about ai are not exclusive to/originate from ai. not all of this is on the fault of ppl complaining abt ai because bigwigs in suits have somehow rebranded what an algorithm is. don't take this as me being Pro AI its just that i think the problem was never ai on its own. its abt surveillance data collection and labour. all facets of capitalism & how it operates under the control of corporations & the state to be honest anything else i'm not interested in. i dont care about the sanctity of art. thats never something i will defend if its bad art its bad art but again thats not unique to ai. if ur interested in artists exploring ai critically i'd really recommend trevor paglen & hito steryl
