I liked many things about Outer Wilds, but one was [minor spoiler] the way that the Nomai minimised their mining so a future population could still develop metal technology.

I liked thinking about that as I climbed the launch tower, which was mostly made of wood, and got into my spaceship. Which was also mostly made of wood.

Fishing Buddy (2022)

This was my first attempt at characterizing Gabbro! And their relationship with Feldspar. I believe Feldspar, in their last times before disappearing, enjoyed spending time with Gabbro. Not only because by the time, Gabbro was a new astronaut and could replace them for campfire storytime, but also because Gabbro is one of the rare Hearthian that doesn't expect anything from Feldspar. I also wanted to give Gabbro some emotions without being over-the-top about it. I believe Gabbro shows emotions, just not as much as other Hearthians. I think, since they grew up during the beginnings of Outer Wilds Ventures, they kinda always got prepared that something bad might happen one day. Also, first appearance of Chert in my comics as well! I love them, but I never really know what to do with them, aside from making them the reasonable one in the Ventures. And first interactions between the current astronauts! Even though Riebeck was still in training back then...

The Legend of Outer Wilds - Gabbro's Secret

Oooh there's the big reveal! I don't have very defined scenes in mind for this AU, since I meant it to be left open for others to imagine stories with it, but Gabbro's big reveal is one of the rare scenes I had in mind for a while. Since Gabbro's design for TLOOW was very much inspired by Zelda villains, like Skull Kid and Ghirahim, I also wanted to make their presence more threatening, without making it a straight-up villain. But making them a little unstable without any reason didn't feel right for me. So I gave them a reason. I decided that they would be in the loop first instead of Hatchling. With their flying bug going rogue, they can barely leave the island. They solitude got to them, and when they got the occasion, the brought Hatchy into this! They will interact again! I will draw the second part one day, if I got time!

My friend is playing outerwilds blind and I periodically ask her to share what she's found with me and I give her small tips on what to do and where to go next and I feel like when you go talk to the other travelers about the new things you've discovered, is this what Gabbro feels like in game?

Started showing my brother Hermitcraft, because he’s pretty young and asked me to show him Minecraft. Since then, he has said some pretty funny things, which include but are not limited to:
