To anyone who is afraid of posting their story on their account or is hoping for the chance to have their story reach more people, you can just share your story in my ask box! I have the settings so that you can do it anonymously if you hit the button, or opt not to if that's what you prefer

You can also use my ask box to ask me questions you have about alterhumanity, requests for coming a label you would like to have out there, anonymously share your opinions about problems within the community, or even simply ask me to make a post about a lesser known label to help spread awareness

I believe that it's important to get your story out there because:

thinking about the time i was on a camping trip in north carolina. we were on a hike through a forest and theres a little side trail that goes up a hill. me n some friends go up to check it out. pretty plants and an abandoned chicken coop thing + house. i was one of like 2-3 people who were gonna walk up to the door and look inside, the foundation looked really unstable so others were more cautious. all of a sudden a giant black thing bursts out of the doorframe. vulture, although it looked like a cat or dog or crow for a second.

i wish i was that. that decaying house could be my home and i could live in the beautiful forests of north carolina.

Okay so my belief is heavily linked to my spirituality with Lord Lucifer. I first started thinking I may be a demonkin when I learned about what otherkins are here on Tumblr. I found the concept fascinating and really resonated with what I was reading.

I’ve always struggled with feeling like I didn’t fit in with other humans. This was slightly alleviated when I figured out I’m autistic a couple of years ago, but I wondered if it was more than that. My mother is someone who believes in past lives and has jokingly said a few times that this has to be my first life as a human. I struggle with more than just fitting in, but also basic tasks and the concept of having a physical body. I’ve always felt hyper-aware of the fact that I’m stuck in this uncomfortable meat sack. It’s always just felt so… wrong. I hate having to do things like eat food.

I knew that Lucifer had been around me my whole life, so I figured we probably had some kind of past life connection. I had a friend channel him a few months ago, and I finally got confirmation that in my past life I was in the Infernal Realm with him. It was an extremely validating experience and I learned so much. It also explained why I’ve struggled with feeling like a child stuck in an adult’s body. Not wanting to handle responsibilities and to get taken care of instead. The desire to just lay in bed with my plushies and watch Japanese cartoons all day. I literally have to use a cup with a special lid on it because I constantly spill water. I also have a curve in my spine where my wings were and so do a few of my winged otherkin friends.

Anyways, I realize that my situation is quite unique for an otherkin. Most don’t have any link to a spiritual belief or even past life. As for your situation as a possible sirenkin Anon, unfortunately I can’t offer much help. I will say that I think most “mythical” creatures, possibly including sirens, live on the spiritual plane, rather than this physical one. They can occasionally be seen by humans, but the reason you don’t see them in aquariums or ingrained in human society is because they aren’t physically here. It’s possible you were one before incarnating as a human. Maybe you love singing, swimming, and the concept of luring people in. I suggest trying past life guided meditation.
