「Sense of self」 — Who are you, actually?
obsessed with the kinda analysis that "this character is deeply and unequivacably a bad person" when they are reacting in an understandable way to enormous horrible stakes, trauma and consequences. and are a teenage girl
Updated version of yesterday’s piece
Might make a Misa and Light to match, we’ll see
It is now a fanfiction :)

I thank the person who gave me this idea
Death note au based on that one tumblr post about a necromancer who brings back a serial killer’s victims where L discovers that Matsuda is a necromancer and has him bring back some of Kira’s victims just to see Light freak out.
Included in the people brought back is Naomi Misora. She confirms that Light is Kira but they can’t just say they brought her back to life, so she joins the task force and pretends she never died in order to get more concrete evidence on Light. Light is freaking out and trying to figure out a way to convince everyone that she’s a fake because he knows she has to be a fake, but he can’t explain why without admitting that he was the one that killed her.
This probably culminates in Light having Rem kill Watari and L, and Matsuda bringing them back the next day, which shatters the last piece of sanity Light had.
as a child being told "the moon controls the tides" with no additional explanation was like. oh okay. you want me to believe in magic? you're talking about magic right now? okay. fine
Mello’s character intrigues me a lot, and so does his motivation, his strengths and weaknesses. I believe his personality to be affected by his mental illness, which I personally see being Narcissitic Personality Disorder. In this post I’d like to go over the latest revision of DSM-5 for the section for NPD to see how many of the official diagnostic criteria apply to Mello’s actions in the manga.
I myself have NPD, so I naturally recognize a lot of patterns within his behaviors and behind his motivation. However, I have to make this disclaimer: This is about a fictional character’s motivations. Do not actually use lists you find online, no matter how official, for diagnosing. Only longterm evaluation of patterns in one’s behavior done by a medical professional can serve as a basis for diagnosing someone with NPD. It’s a serious disorder that heavily affects our life and relationships, don’t treat it easily.
More under the cut.

Thought I would reveal the primary ship. They are both disasters who hate eachother. Enemies to lovers? Ha! More like enemies AND lovers.
This takes place after the events of the comic.
Is there a list of the books mentioned on Tokyo Ghoul? I don't know if I send the question yesterday. Well thanks. You guys are doing a great job. (´▽`)
Takatsuki Sen’s Works
Takatsuki’s debut work is titled “Dear Kafka”. It was released when Takatsuki was still a teenager and is a bestseller with 500 000 copies.
“Monochrome Rainbow” is a short story collection. Among others, the collection contains the short stories Summer Diary, Resentments and Showers at Sunset (Sayoshigure).
The seventh work is titled “The Black Goat’s Egg”. It narrates the story of a son and his mother, a cold-hearted serial killer called “The Black Goat”.The protagonist is disgusted by his mother’s depravity, but has to realize that he is developing the same cruel impulses. The book combines brutal descriptions with a delicate portrayal of the main character’s mental state. After the organ transplant, Ken Kaneki likens himself to the story’s protagonist.
Her eighth work is called “The Hanged Man’s MacGuffin”, a collection of stories about the life of death sentenced prisoners. Kaneki reads it after the “Banjou incident”.
Books Mentioned in Tokyo Ghoul
Ogura Hisashi - ”New Book of Ghoul Dismantling”
French Gourmet book
Martial arts book
Books Mentioned in Tokyo Ghoul:Re
Franz Kafka’s - ”A Crossbreed”
Actual Books Reflecting Events in Tokyo Ghoul
Kanou’s role in changing Kaneki into a artificial ghoul and his role in Kaneki’s character development mirrors the relationship between Victor Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster in Mary Shelley’s book “Frankenstein”
Franz Kafka’s”The Metamorphosis”, a popular story about a man who slowly transforms into an insect. In some ways, the story sounds similar as Ken goes through the same fate as Gregor Samsa, the main character of Kafka’s work.
The Ghoul Restaurant takes inspiration for tales such as The Restaurant of Many Orders by Kenji Miyazawa, with Kaneki even drawing a comparison between himself and the protagonists of that tale.
