Beetlejuice’s PoV:

I had to bring Y/N to work today, since Lydia was busy today.

And that’s how we got into this mess.

I had let Y/N play outside with the bugs and snakes, so long as he stayed in the backyard. Now it was time to go home.

“Wan’ take snek!! My friend! No leave him!” Y/N shrieked, a “small” ball python held closely to his chest.

I chuckle at the sight and kneel down to his level. “Bittyjuice, we can’t take him with us. Mama would flip her lid if I let you bring home a snake. Can you give Snek to Papa?”

He shakes his head and sets the snake on his head, still holding it gently.

I sigh and try a different approach.

“Okay, how about this? Papa lets Snek go, and you get to pick whatever creepy crawly you want from the pet store? Yeah?” I offer, hoping he’ll take the bait.

He looks hopeful at that offer. “Snek?”

I smile at him gently, nodding. “Snek.”

Y/N hands me his little friend after giving it a little kiss.

“Bye-bye, Snek!” He chirps as I release the little noodle into the grass and pick him up.

“Ready to go, Babyjuice?” I ask as I carry him in the direction of the nearest pet store.

“More Snek!!” Bittyjuice shrieks, right in my ear.

I chuckle and carry him into the store, having to readjust my grip on him every few seconds due to how much he was bouncing around. I shot a nasty glare at the shopkeeper, who was looking at me like I had kidnapped the lad.

By the time we reached the snake section, Y/N was wriggling like crazy, so I decided to let him wreck havoc.

“Okay, Minijuice, you go pick out a little Snek friend and show Papa so he can buy it, alright?” I tell him before he runs toddles off.

I follow behind him and chuckle when he starts pouting because he’s too short to see the snakes.

I wordlessly picked him up and set him on my hip so he could see all his options.

Y/N takes his time examining each snake, when finally I see his eyes light up and feel him bouncing around on my hip.

“Papa, dat one!!” He squeals. 

I look at where he’s pointing and see that he was pointing at an Albino Ball Python.

I check the price and my eyes pop out of their sockets, making the little one giggle.

“Jeez, kid. You’re really trying to drain Papa’s bank account, huh?” I tease.

He just looks confused.

I shrug and walk to the front counter with my overly energetic toddler, who nearly started crying as he thought we weren’t actually buying the snake.

“Shh, Papa just needs the worker to pull your new friend out for you. I don’t have keys to the enclosure, Littlejuice,” I soothe as I sway back and forth with him.

The worker smiles softly at Y/N, “Which snake did you want, little one?”

“Milk one!” He chirps.

The worker walks over to the snake section and starts to unlock the enclosure for a Milk snake.

“Da white one!” Y/N corrects them.

“Oh, my bad, little dude. I’ll get him for you,” they say, locking up the milk snake and opening the Albino’s case. “This is the one you want, right?”

He nods happily and holds his hands out expectantly for the snake.

The worker smiles and hands him the snake. “He got a name, bud?”

Y/N scrunches up his little face and thinks for a moment.

God, he looks adorable like that.

“Ghost!” He proudly declares.

The worker smiles and nods approvingly. “Great choice, kiddo.”

I nod in agreement. “It suits him.”

They grab a box and place Ghost inside, carrying him to the cash register. “Does he need an enclosure?”

I shake my head. “Y/N, you wanna tell them how many snakes you have at home?”

He immediately starts counting on his fingers, listing off their names.

“Dere’s Pinchy, Knife, Shaky, an’ Scott!” He lists.

The worker chuckles softly and nods. “Those are some good names, bud. So I take it that Ghost will be in good hands, then?”

Y/N nods.

“Good. Well, your total will be $105.36,” they reply.

I pay for the snake and thank the worker for their time.

Lydia was not happy when we returned with yet another snake.

Happy Disability Pride Month!

I created a flag for Hidradenitis Suppurativa

HS is a chronic skin inflammatory condition also known as acne inversus.

This condition causes lesions, along with deep seated nodules and abcesses, draining tracts and fibrotic scars.

These sores can occur where skin rubs together(or places rich in apocrine gland) areas such as the groin, armpits, buttocks, breasts( for AFABs) and in the inner thighs. However they can really occur almost anywhere.

Because of the associated pain, scarring, odor, sensitive locations, drainage( mainly pVss and bl00d) this chronic illness can negatively impact your mental health.

I wanted to create a flag to represent HS for pride month because I too struggle with it and I wanted to show support <3. It is not a very fun condition to deal with by any means.

I made different variations of the flag

Plain one with just the colored stripes

Stripes with the HS ribbon and Hidden disability sunflower

I also included the PNGs of the Purple Ribbon (which is used to signify HS awareness amongst other conditions) and the Sunflower which indicates disabilities which are hidden. For Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a condition that often goes unnoticed or unseen, because the lesions/boils often occur in places on the body that people (for good reason) don’t usually see.

Blue: for the toll that HS takes on mental health

Purple: referencing the Purple ribbon

Red: referencing the physical problems of this conditions : the sores, how mobility and daily activities are effected

White: the color that references to hidden disabilities

Black: referencing the social/ intimate isolation that can arise from this condition
