Do you have any favourite headcanons about Nightshade?

(I feel like them being autistic is a pretty common headcanon, so I’m curious if you have any thoughts on that as well)

YEAYEYWYEYYSUSY OH MY GOD YES WE HAVE SO MANY HEADCANONS ABT THEM !!!!! get ready for a fuckn infodump (also sosoos many of these are just us projecting)

okay so YES !!! nightshade is absolutely autistic. and they are stimming constantly. they stim vocally a lot, and a lot of the time its just bird sounds, but sometimes it'll just start screaming lmao. it also likes to rock back and forth a lot!! definitely a verrrry common one.

Also if youve seen how we draw nightshade you might've noticed that we draw xem with little wings in root mode! they also flap those to stim :]

also they love slime!!! this is verry much just me projecting but i like to think xey love slime and they have a huge collection of textures <33 its favorite is bingsu!!!

and NEOPRONOUNS as you might've noticed :P. (we have a nightshade alter that uses neos so we are once again, projecting) but anyway, it was hashtag that told nightshade about neos, and they immediately got into it!! they have many and love hoarding them <3 some of xeir favorites are it/xe/that/owl/web/bot/mur

bones!!! vulture culture!!!!! they collect bones. sometimes theyll go out into the forest and search for bones for hours (it has soooo many antlers) and if web finds a dead animal, web'll take it back with them to clean it out webselves :]

They also have intrusive thoughts. yeah less fun headcanon time. they can be very vivid and very graphic, and its caused nightshade to have panic attacks a few times. i hc that bumblebee also used to have them, so bees helped xem through some of the bad ones <3

also xey have severe emetophobia. yeah i know, a bit of a weird one. if someones sick, they will be avoiding that person like the plague. whenever it watches a movie with the family, it'll always check if there are emeto scenes so it knows when to look away or leave (shout out to doesthedogdie.com i fucking love that website!!!!)

and general terran hc! i headcanon that all the terrans can eat human food :D although nightshade specifically has a difficult time eating (the tism) and xey'll only eat things like noodles or very processed food. murs a huge ramen lover 😎

MINECRAFT. you cannot look at nightshade and tell me they dont love minecraft!! xey have a survival world going where xeyre completely decked out in netherite, have a hundred redstone machines scattered all over the place, and just so many huge projects going on. mur started a multi player world and got all murs siblings to join. most chaotic world ever

and now im thinking abt owls, so. they have night vision, because of course. and it also sleeps in a nest (terrans can sleep hc jumpscare) its just a pile of a fuck ton of pillows and blankets and if you touch it xey WILL bite you

also it has a very strong prey drive. if they see anything particularly small moving around on the floor they are fucking jumping it. its like xeyre the maltos mouser lmao. no small animal that shows up in the malto home is safe

oh and as for music !!! big fan of the big neurodivergent three lmao. lemon demon, will wood, tally hall. that stuff yknow? (yes im projecting) also heres a playlist that our nightshade alter made that is 100% what we hc source nightshade to listen to !!!!

LOVES STAR TREK !!!! you CANNOT convince me they wouldn’t. big fan of the non-human bridge officers <3 Spock, Data, Saru (and also big Odo fan) webs favorite is probably next gen :] also i 100% percent believe it was Alex that introduced xem to it. i look at alex and see a star trek liker. i will not be taking criticism

oh and now heres a weird one. when nightshade was a protoform, they were always very… squinty? i dunno, its just something we noticed. like why are you squinting baby, can you not see? and then when xey got their altmode, suddenly xeir eyes were much wider! and i like to think that they did actually have bad eyesight as a protoform! and becoming and owl greatly improved it :]

also they cant see glass in their alt mode <3 hashtag has a compilation of mur crashing into windows

and about the episode "missed connection", we aren't actually told how long nightshade was helping tarantulas, and while most interpret it as just one day, i like to think it actually took about a week at least or even longer. i dont really know why i hc this, but maybe its cus i need nightshade and tarantulas to be besties or i'll die

maybe Nightshade gets curious about how powerlines work, so they start flying up to check it out and Bumblebee just grabs them out of the air like "NOPE, THAT'S NOT HOW WE LEARN ABOUT ELECTRICITY"

meanwhile Thrash is about to slam himself in the helm with his wheel boomerang move during battle practice, gotta intercept that before anyone gets a processor injury

so Nightshade gets magnetised while Bee grabs the wheel before it can ricochet

Hashtag is about to share slightly too much information on social media, gotta grab their phone, go go go go

the sheer chaos, lmao

but also this could be very cute, like Megatron magnetising Twitch to his chest in order to teach her some combat moves or defensive melee forms without risking her getting hit or stepped on :')

bonus: similar to a Cone of Shame situation, Optimus might magnetise Bumblebee to his chest after Dorothy raises some concerns to Optimus about Bee's combat training with the Terrans.

it's nothing too serious but Optimus wants a captive audience to be sure his commentary is heard and noted, so Bee just sighs and accepts being magnetised while Optimus gives him some leaderly advice, lmao

this vaguely has the same vibe as cats carrying kittens around by the scruff, which is also fun

I’ve said a few times how I want Uzui to have a daughter who cries and whines like Daki did, but I blame @dreamingfoxproductions for making the reincarnation connection. I also was super inspired by @sakurab01‘s adorable series of art in which Uzui is like a daycare teacher to a couple of tiny Shabana siblings.

This whoa AU started when Gyutaro and Ume arrived in hell, where Lord Enma, who judges souls, is awaiting and has thousands of years of punishments in mind for Gyutaro. Ume starts throwing a fit, calling Lord Enma a big meanie, and Gyutaro begs her for once in her (after)life to behave. Lord Enma likewise tells her to behave, as she only got off on a technicality, but Ume extols how hard she and Gyutaro had it growing up and how Gyutaro deserves so much better, like instead of one bad mommy he deserves at least three great ones. And, of course, eventually Ume shall join him as his little sister, she’s made up her mind on this.

Lord Enma decides to indulge her. After all, she smiles real cute at him. However, Lord Enma also believes in justice and punishments, so he’s got the perfect destination in mind for the Shabana siblings to be reborn.

So first Gyutaro is born. He Uzui family is all excited about their first child, and they’re filled with love for him, but… well… no one wants to be the one to say it allowed, but that is an u-u-u-u-gly baby. Besides really flamboyant birthmarks (…yay?), his cry is very raspy (just ‘cause he’s loud, right? Ha haha… ha….), he’s kinda lumpy (though they, uh, trrrry to tell themselves that’s normal for newborns??), and uh, teeth. Pointy teeth. Are babies born with teeth said to be demons? No, no, that’s silly.

To be on the safe side, they bring Baby Gitaro to the Butterfly Mansion for a thorough check-up. Diagnosis: just an ugly baby. The girls wish the Uzui family a heartfelt congratulations.

Gitaro wasn’t born with any memories of his past life, and though the markings bother Tengen. He can’t quite place his finger on why. Anyway, Gitaro is on the shy side, but very receptive to the love and care he receives. When he throw temper tantrums, though, they are vicious. Tengen usually takes the brunt of them. Meanwhile, Ume is down the underworld bugging the hell out of Lord Enma about when it’s her turn to go follow her brother. He assures she’ll get her chance soon enough, and very soon, she does. Ume, now Uno, was so determined to see her brother again that she retains her memories a while.

Nobody can ever figure out why, but Uno never, ever takes a liking to the Kamabokos. Gitaro likes Tanjiro but could care less about the others unless they’re bothering Uno. One time he gave Inosuke a flying kick to the chest.

It’s not long because the third Uzui child is born, another girl. Gitaro is star-struck all over again with a new baby around, but Uno is angry. She was supposed to be the only one! She hates this new little sister! Her toddler impulse is to rip the baby’s ear off, but the Mama Trio stops that in the knick of time and gets her in trouble. However, they help bring her around by assuring her she’s not getting replaced, but that she gets a new little sister too, that baby is also hers. She and Gitaro get to protect her together. That awakens something in Uno she never knew she had, for it had always been her brother protecting her and she working to provide for him, she’s never experienced what it’s like to have someone powerless to protect. A little girl, vulnerable like she used to be, and possible to be exposed to the same hardships. Uno is determined not to let this happen and comes around to the whole being an older sister thing. However, she still is pretty demanding of Gitaro’s attention.

Gitaro less dependent on her now, she’s noticed, he’s not quite the person he used to be. He’s milder now (unless throwing a tantrum), more soft and peaceful and shy. It makes Uno feel sort of conflicted, since all she ever knew was the protective big brother who could fight anyone if it was for her, but he does seem happier now. He still likes playing with sickles and catching snakes and stuff, though. The Muscle Mice are off limits but Makio teaches him how to skin a snake with more finesse. You might have noticed I have not stated who birthed with child, which is on purpose, because I have determined it irrelevant. Both Gitaro and Uno gets lots of one-on-one time with each of their mothers.

Relationship with Papa is more complicated. Tengen tries really hard to be a good dad but cannot figure out why he’s so prone to arguments with his kids, especially Uno.

So anyway. BOTH Gitaro and Uno turned out to be “easily dyed” by their experiences, and they grow up the oldest son and oldest daughter in a big family, keeping everybody in line, but always closest with each other. Gitaros grow into a shy and gangly teenager with the weirdest dregs of his gene pool on display, but if you even look cross at one of his siblings or his mamas, he will mess you up (do whatever you want to Papa, though, Papa’s fine). Uno eventually forgets her past life and is a generally responsible person, but she is a callous flirt, much to Tengen’s consternation, but when it comes down to it she’s most sensitive to being scolded by Tengen and wants Papa to spoil her too (to take some of the burden off Gitaro, since she doesn’t want him to feel smothered or burdened by her). She nags her younger siblings but also spoils them. Gitaro continues looking up to Tanjiro and likes to babysit Tanjiro’s children. Uno still kinda hates the whole Kamaboko bunch. Nezuko will always be the most puzzled by this.
