Covers 和道一文字 (Wado Ichimonji), 雪走 (Yubashiri), 三代鬼徹 (Sandai Kitetsu), and 秋水 (Shusui)

The original tumblr upload in Japanese is here, the sheet itself links to a deleted pixiv site so I have no idea where it was originally from, but it definitely seems to be written by Oda

Please let me know if there are any errors!!

I'm not Japanese nor do I speak/read it, I just used google translate + a lot of googling and wikipedia to look up japanese sword terminology. I can also read kanji so that helped a bit

Some other random notes if you'd like to reference the original post:

柄巻 (tsuka-maki or tsuka ito, lit. hilt wrap): rope wrapped around the outside of the katana

鐔 (つば)* - tsuba, sword guard; generally a round metal plate with a central wedge shaped hole for the blade and if needed up to two smaller holes for the kozuka or kōgai *note: Oda uses the hiragana when referring to the tsuba

柄 tsuka: The tsuka is the hilt or handle; made of wood and wrapped in samegawa (shark/ray skin).

目貫 menuki, The menuki are the decorative metal ornaments the are woven under the tsuka-ito (handle wrapping). These ornaments were originally made to hide the mekugi pins that secure the tsuka to the tang of the blade

鞘 saya: traditional wooden scabbard

腰差し koshi-zashi: something to be worn on the waist, can specifically refer to swords

丁子乱れ, "clove disorder" choji midare – an irregular hamon pattern resembling cloves, with a round upper part and a narrow constricted lower part.

鮫皮 samegawa: the ray or shark skin wrapping of the tsuka (handle/hilt), is wrapped by the tsuka-ito

頭 kashira: The kashira is the pommel on the end of the tsuka.

鐺 kojiri: The kojiri is the end of the scabbard (saya) or the protective fitting at the end of the scabbard

下げ緒 sageo : The sageo is the cord used to tie saya to the belt/obi when worn.

直刃 suguha: straight temper line (hamon)

乱刃 midareba: irregular temper line (hamon)

刃文 hamon: border between the tempered part of the ha (cutting edge) and the untempered part of the rest of the sword; the temper-line.

has doey ever lashed out at lucas or bella?

Yes… though it’s never gotten physical.

While he mostly has a control on all the chunks of the boys floating around in there, on days that are particularly tiring or stressful he can lose his grip. Before Bella and Lucas this is when he would pick a corner of the room and mope in monster form (putting all focus on reigning things back in) but he is not allowed to do that anymore! You know how it feels when multiple people are talking to you or around you, feeling like you can’t hear your own thoughts… that but it starts smothering his feelings, jerking his insides around at random. They also tend to amplify how he is already feeling, concentrating it. Things become more vivid, every feeling, thought, mental image. It’s something he has to grit his teeth and try to ride out, using as much energy as possible to keep the turmoil inside. This is before Doey fully understands how he was made so he is not only being bombarded with these thoughts and feelings, but they all add up to something incoherent. Frequently contradicting each other, flashbacks for things he has, hasn’t, has, experienced as his mind tries to stitch together a coherent story. It makes it hard to know what is actually happening in the now, to those on the outside he isn’t fully there. I think Anger/Upset comes up frequently both from the stress of trying to just think, alongside the fact those are very very nuanced emotions that are built out of a lot of emotions at once that all sorta combine into yelling.

Bella and Lucas are somewhat used to Doey having energy swings (moments where he is quiet and tired and moments where he is very very enthusiastic and the such) but this is an entirely different beast. By the time either of them actually saw a proper moment(tm) they had grown fairly comfortable with him, and this was a scary awful thing. My guess is that it was probably Bella who saw it, sometime soon after Kip passed and his cork just popped. It was a lot of sobbing before he nearly smashed her with a fist. He was yelling a lot of stuff that didn’t make a lot of sense to her but he almost immediately retreated to the other side of the room after the fact. I think things were hard and scary for the rest of that day, but they figured it out soon after. They really didn’t have much choice but to figure it out, considering the situation. Still, took a bit for her to get a sense for them and how to deal with them (staying out of the way).

Lucas figured it out much faster, he is used to dealing with tantrums (he doesn’t remember why). The longest one of these outbursts has lasted with a critter around is maybe an hour and a half. If left to ride it out at most Doey will start muttering to himself thankfully!

It is not the prettiest but here is a little chart I made of skin tones.

The idea is to eye-drop anywhere on the chart to get a unique skin tone instead of getting stuck in the loop of “white, tan, dark”.

last night i had a dream about mouthwashing and it started out with the scene where swansea has the axe raised above daisukes head, and swansea says "close your eyes, daisuke." and so he closes his eyes and the axe comes down, and then he opens his eyes and shoots up into a sitting position and finds himself alone in the room, and he's like "...was that a dream...?" and anya appears out of nowhere and sits next to him and is like "you're ok now, daisuke." and daisuke is all freaked out and crying "i was so scared"

and anya hugs him and says "i know, daisuke." and they hold each other for a while, and then daisuke is like "where is everyone else..?" and anya smiles sadly and stands up, holding her hand out, and daisuke takes her hand and follows her out of the room and into the med-bay and he finds swansea crouched in front of something leaning against the wall, and curly is in the bed and jimmy is there too ig.

daisuke looks relieved and says "swansea! you're ok!!" and swansea turns and looks at daisuke and he has this heartbroken look on his face and daisuke is like "..whats.. going on..?" and jimmy isn't reacting to anything they're doing, but when daisuke looks over swanseas shoulder he sees himself, leaned up against the wall with his head caved in from the axe. next to him is anya, her face bloody, and swansea, with bullet holes in his head. and daisuke stares, not quite grasping what he's looking at, and the anya that walked in with him puts her hand on daisukes shoulder comfortingly, and swansea looks away, looking guilty, and daisuke is on the verge of a panic, not understanding, and he's like "n-no, i. i woke up, right? it was just a dream, right??"

and then i woke up. and it was just a dream.

This is a kinda old comic I made a while ago, but I still wanted to share! Sanji is so pathetic he is a walking disaster I love him so much…

(Also ignore the fact he wouldn’t realistically be worried about smoking, we all know his lungs are decaying and he doesn’t actually care)
