Blacktip shark (different from blacktip Reef sharks, which are smaller) Soap who is an extremely curious and fast lad. He lives and migrates around with a loosely organized group of other blacktip sharks. They’re not quite family and are together mostly to hunt more effectively.

More unorganized thoughts of mer!ghoap under the cut below

- Soap, like many of his species, has a curious nature, made bolder the bigger the pod they live with.

- Natural show off, especially after a good hunt. Being able to jump out of water with elaborate spins is not only a hunting strategy but also for impressing potential mates.

- Soap is popular enough but never made active effort to court anyone within or outside of his group. 🤔

- Ghost doesn’t travel with a pod which isn’t unheard of for his species but quite rare since most they’re known for their social behaviour (even interacting with other mer species)

- Ghost is heavily scarred for someone his age (and it’s made even more obvious by the fact that his species’ skin heal without its previous pigmentation so injuries almost always leave a permanent mark) because he has to hunt alone.

- Without the help of a pod, the squids their diet requires put up more of a fight. In addition, being alone makes him an easier target so every time he surfaces for air he risks being spotted by poachers.
