“Mommy, can we play dress up?” You wave a tired hand at your daughter, who was following you around the room. You could feel her tugging onto your dress as you laid out paper plates and plastic silverware.

 Today was a special day; it was the baby shower for the unborn twins inside your belly. Lucky for you, they have been calm so you can get things done, but now your six year old is demanding your attention. “Miuko, I can’t. I’m setting up the party for your siblings. Today we get to find out if the babies are boys or girls.”

 Miuko puffed out her chubby cheeks, pulling on her dirty blonde pigtails. “But I wanna play princess tea party!” Her hair started to become staticy and her strands started to stand on end as she crossed her arms, pouting on the couch.

Does anyone every use Second Person Pronouns but Third Person Omnipotency for their writing? Cuz I’m realizing I do that a lot lol

If you don’t know what I mean, I’m basically talking about something like this:

“You were settled on the couch while the two walked up the stairs to reach the apartment. They had the bags from the market hanging from both of their hands. When they reached the door and pushed it open, they found you snoring lightly with the TV still playing, a rerun of a show neither of them recognized.

“I’ll get her to bed if you put the groceries away, yea?” He received a quiet nod and took the bags to the kitchen as she walked forward to turn off the TV and scoop you into her arms gently as to not wake you.„

Does anyone else do this? I realized that this has just,,, become,,, my writing style ;-;

Ego notices how uncomfortable you are IMMEDIATELY. Even though you try to ignore the person and even tell them to leave you alone, they just don't stop. That's when your father steps in. He's tall - so he basically towers over them as he tells them to leave you alone. Ego rarely gets aggressive towards strangers, but if he does, it's always to protect you. At first, he's actually very passive-aggressive and then drifts into being more direct by constantly asking questions like "Do you like harassing people? You get off on that shit or what?" and "You really can't take a hint to fuck off when someone wants you to?"

As soon as the creep is gone, Ego makes sure you're okay and reassures you what the stranger did was very wrong. Ego really wants you to know you should never give in to someone even if they don't let go when you say no. And because some people suck and won't take no for an answer, your father will always be there to scare them off and protect you.

A friend of mine is on the verge of losing their home and if that happens, their family will get separated and they’ll be split from their siblings and possibly their mom. If they lose their house, they’ll either be forced to move in with their abusive father with their little brother or they’ll be moved to a whole other state.
