"I watched it [Sakhir 2020] on tv all because of Charles" his voice while saying Charles 😭
I think today was a great example of why we like to call Max and Charles emotional support rivals.
Max going straight to Charles’ number 3 stand to yap while keeping his interview brief was such a delight to witness. But after he’d returned to his stand to hydrate, Charles at one point walked up to him to continue the conversation. Max is usually the yapper, he leads their debriefs, but this time the roles were clearly reversed. It was so interesting to see. Max loves to yap, but the minute he is down, Charles will make sure to keep the conversation going.
Even in the cooldown room - he made sure to include Max and keep the conversation flowing. The Max Verstappen podcast worked just as well as the Charles Leclerc podcast.
Babe wake up, Richard Siken is posting about F1 RPF again.
We stopped talking too early about how Charles in the SF-25 (!) on 15 lap old hard tyres (!) was doing identical lap times (!) to Lando Norris in the McLaren (!) on younger medium tyres (!) for the final few laps!! And not to mention the 29 lap stint on the mediums!!
Tyre degradation? Just say no ✋🥰
"Nothing just an inchident "
Charles is having Max's baby, but it's none of Max's business. 🤷♂️
Red Bull Racing admin caught at the crime scene again.
I've been thinking on this all day so I decided to chat a bit:
I love watching Charles perform miracles in his cars. Expecting a p6 or p7 and getting a p4 is lovely. In Monza hoping maybe for a podium after starting p4 and then winning it was glorious. There is nothing that gives you that same level of excitement like Charles performing a miracle.
But I don't want miracles.
I want Charles to have a serious and competitive car. Not for half a season, not for 4-6 races, not with the occasional engine dying. But a real serious car. One where he has confidence in it and when he does a "miracle" it isn't for p4 but for the win. It's so frustrating watching how much effort he puts into this team only to get nothing in return.
