it's honestly so annoying when people bring up the original casting for daenerys because it always seems like implicit shade towards emilia.

"tamnzin would have been great bringing book dany to live" "tamzin would have been great at showing book dany's personality " ...well, guess what? SO WOULD HAVE BEEN EMILIA IF THEY HAD LET HER! the issue with show daenerys is not the the actress didn't have the acting skills to portray her accurately, is that d&d didn't want to portray that version of daenerys. emilia's daenerys is how these two stupid men wrote her to be so i hate to tell you this but *the* book dany was never going to bless our screens, not even with tamzin
