His figure has been used by the Castro regime to favor their marxist agenda. Seen here, a young Martí, age 16, was a political prisoner when in 1963, his home was searched by Spanish military who found letter the boy wrote to discourage a friend from joining the Spanish army. If José Martí were alive today, he would have been a political prisoner again since he warned at such an early date of the dangers of #socialism and #marxism . Especially on a letter to his dear friend Fermín Valdés, New York, 1894 : " ..
