Ninjago Au Where Nothing Is Different Except Cole Can Sing.

Okay hear me out: Cole is a massive theatre kid.

Of course he isn’t super obvious about it, but his comfort shows are definitely musicals- probably like heathers or something

I mean, his father works in the performing arts industry, he went to a performing arts school likely surrounded by theatre kids, he’s gay, how does it not make sense?

Let me set the scene;

Cole catches up with a few of his old friends from his brief time at Marty Oppenheimer School of Perfoming Arts, and they’re actors or dancers or singers on broadway (or the Ninjago equivalent I guess). Cole is a very loyal friend, and he would totally go support them in their shows. Even if performing arts isn’t his choice of career, he likes seeing how it’s such a sense of pride for all these actors. And hey, the shows are pretty good too.

Maybe he adds a couple songs to his playlists.

Imagine the amount of references he would make as well, not even realising half of the time.

(At some victory dinner- Cole is eating cake)

Random guy: Does your mother know you eat all that cake?

Cole: Not anymore! When mom was alive~!

Someone asked where Lloyd's element would be the strongest (like how Cole's was deep in the earth and Nya's was in the ocean) and DOC WYATT SAID THAT WE'D SEE WHERE THAT WAS FOR LLOYD.

He did say we wouldn't see it in season 3, but that we will see it someday so now I just can't be normal about anything today.

Honestly, I don't see a lot of people talking about how Cole must have felt when Bonzle disappeared into the netherspace. Like sure Wyldfyre and Nya would mourn Kai, but has anybody thought about how Cole must have felt so distraught that the person he has regarded as a daughter for approximately 5 years was suddenly taken away from him? And after he'd promised Geo she would be fine.

PS: I may want to animate that scene someday to showcase his reaction better.
