hi if anyone’s in need of a friend PLEASE PLEASE talk to me, because for some reason i don’t think anyone actually wants to talk to me anymore, because none of my friends even talk to me anymore, and i don’t know what to do and i really want friends who also like Star Wars (or just friends full stop) and i just don’t know why nobody’s talking to me anymore and i miss having people to talk to
im super nice i promise
my only goal in life tbh
I may never have a serious life partner but at least I have bad batch bedsheets
i have 500 of these in the tank. be prepared.
ugh i love Tech so much and relate to him on an emotional level, ESPECIALLY in the crossing when he’s speaking to Omega in the cave, saying just because he doesn’t express things, doesn’t mean he doesn’t necessarily feel them too AND I GET THAT!! (which is also another reason why the crossing is one of my favorite episodes)
like,, if i have problems i won’t talk about them and i will pray that someone else then asks if im okay so i have an excuse to actaully talk
i struggle talking to people/expressing things/portraying emotions and i genuinely hate that about myself but i love seeing that represented in my favorite thing ever, and in a character like Tech
if only he wasn’t killed off
anyway im super upset rn so this was just yap 🤌
in sci-fi/fantasy-type media, seeing my autistic traits in a character is rare (that’s not really a secret—we all know that there isn’t enough autism representation in the media). BUT, when there is a character with traits i relate to, it is often an alien.
think mantis or drax from guardians of the galaxy. sure, they’re main characters, but their traits that feel relatable to me are made to be a joke, and they’re like… literally aliens. it’s common in media for aliens to miss sarcasm and social cues, to be blunt, things like that. things that are also autistic traits.
so, i watch guardians of the galaxy and see myself in the aliens, the outcasts, the ones who don’t fit the same as the others because they are literally not human. this doesn’t apply to all aliens ofc but my point stands.
tech, on the other hand, is just… different. he thinks and acts differently, as do the rest of the batch, and all their differences are so celebrated. i mean, aside from that kinda being the point of the show, they’re also portraying his differences as who he is, and using it as a tool for him. which i love. he’s not an alien species. he’s not a joke (he’s teased by his brothers, but that’s just siblings lol).
(also this isn’t to say that drax and mantis are bad characters or anything. i love them and find them hilarious.)
anyway. i’ve been thinking a lot about tech lately and why he means the actual world to me, and this whole thing hasn’t left my head in days so i’m making a post about it. hopefully it resonates with someone😂
omg

Canciones Para Crosshair - Ch. 1
Summary: Crosshair would never admit to all the things he loved about his boyfriend. His patience. His stupid smile. His warm hands. His confidence. His long, soft hair. And he especially was not going to admit that Tay’s habit of serenading him like a damn Mariachi singer whenever he felt like it was something Crosshair found to be incredibly endearing and romantic. No, that was cheesy as hell. Crosshair definitely did not enjoy it one bit. Totally. Word Count: 3k
Crosshair couldn’t be sure what he was in for when he decided to give Tay a chance and be his boyfriend, but if you told him that Tay would go about life like a damn musical, Crosshair would’ve thought twice about saying ‘yes’ to those broad shoulders and dark chocolate puppy dog eyes.
However, Crosshair was sure he was crazy at this point because everytime the Marine would suddenly break out into song to serenade him, Crosshair felt his chest tighten and his cheeks flush, but it wasn’t from annoyance. It was far from it, actually. While there was some embarrassment Crosshair felt (mostly on Tay’s behalf), especially when people were around, Crosshair couldn’t deny that Tay’s stupid singing would have him feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. As cheesy as that was, Crosshair found that he actually enjoyed Tay’s singing, even if it caught him off guard at first.
That’s how Crosshair knew he had it bad for the damn man because never in a million years did he think he’d be swooning over something as cliche as this. Whether it was Tay just singing along to the radio in the kitchen and bringing Crosshair into it, dedicating a song to him at the karaoke bars they’d go to with Crosshair’s brothers, or the whole shebang with instruments and candles and everything–Crosshair was head over heels for this man, but he’d be damned if Tay knew that he was.
It all started at one of those damn karaoke bars that Wrecker’s girlfriend, Khea, was always dragging them all over to have some fun, some drinks, and sing songs well into the night. “노래방” - or so it was called - Crosshair didn’t know and frankly didn’t care. He only went for the drinks and the chance to take embarrassing recordings of his brothers (and his in-laws for that matter) and their drunken singing antics to use as blackmail one day. Rarely did he sing and the few times that he had sung was because Omega had tagged along and forced him to.
But on that night, Omega wasn’t there. Hunter and his partner took her home once it got late and Echo and his girlfriend had gone home early as well since she had exams to deal with; leaving Crosshair to be stuck with Tay, Wrecker, Khea, Tech, and Phee.
Only him and Tech seemed to be the ones who weren’t more than a bit buzzed, simply sticking to themselves as the others carried on with their slurred singing as the little disco ball built into the speakers strobed blues, red, and greens.
Tech had a tambourine in his hand and was tapping it on his knee, off by two beats because he was dozing off as the alcohol took a hold of him. Crosshair had half a mind to take it away from him since the off beats were messing with him and he didn’t want Tech to slump over and lean on him, so he tried to take Tech up a little with little success.
Unable to do much about Tech, Crosshair eventually gave up with a grumble and turned his attention back to the trio that was Phee, Wrecker, and Khea as they sang Dancing Queen with sloppy choreography while Tay cheered them on from his spot next to Crosshair.
The man had an arm around Crosshair, which Crosshair had surprisingly didn’t shrug off, and a drink in his other hand. Crosshair didn’t know what number that was, but with how slow and how touchy Tay was at the moment, he knew Tay had more than enough. The man was already a little dense and physically affectionate when sober, but became even more so under the influence.
If anything–and Crosshair wasn’t going to admit to it out loud–despite a buzzed or drunk Tay not being easy to deal with, Crosshair couldn’t deny he enjoyed the touch and found how slow Tay’s brain worked to be amusing. Tay’s touch was warm and comforting, grounding him almost, and he got a few good laughs out of how slowly Tay processed everything, making it easier for Crosshair to mess with him. It was a fun experience, especially when Tay didn’t remember much about it after the fact.
With a small hum, Crosshair leaned into Tay’s side a little as the trio wrapped up the final note of their song, barely holding it (much less in tune) before the song completely ended. Tay cheered and applauded enthusiastically as they took their bows and Crosshair clapped alongside him. Meanwhile, the noise made Tech snort and shoot up, sitting up straighter as he blinked and adjusted his glasses, looking confused before he realized the song was over and began to tap the tambourine in applause as well.
“Alright, Tay’s turn!” Khea suddenly announced, holding the microphone out to Tay and ruining Crosshair’s chance to try and convince all of them to wrap things up and head home since it was late.
He groaned and shook his head as Tay set his drink down to accept the microphone with wide eyes and a grin while Phee and Wrecker cheered him on.
‘Goddammit.’ Crosshair thought with a small frown, ‘This idiot isn’t going to say no.’
“You going to sing with him, Cross?” Wrecker asked with a teasing grin as he and the other two moved away from the front and back into the booth to give Tay the stage.
“Hell no,” Crosshair responded with a grumble, shaking his head as he folded his arms across his chest. “I’m not singing.”
“Aw, c’mon…” Tay cooed with a small pout, turning to face Crosshair as he attempted to give Crosshair his infamous puppy dog eyes. Ones that Crosshair was slowly building an immunity to. Slowly.
“No,” Crosshair reiterated, huffing as he looked away–anywhere else but those damn eyes.
For a second, it looked like Tay was going to try and convince him or pull him up to the front, but he surprisingly didn’t. Instead he withdrew his arm from around Crosshair and stood up with a small stretch before moving to the front where the screen was to choose his song.
Crosshair sighed in relief, slumping in his seat as Tay browsed, grateful that he wasn’t going to have to go up there and make a fool of himself. He’d gladly let Tay do that on his behalf.
However, that relief was short-lived because Tay picked his song and turned around, facing Crosshair with that look that told Crosshair he was up to something.
Tay exhaled into the mic, tapping it a few times before motioning over to Crosshair with a grin.
“You won’t sing with me, so I’ll dedicate this song to you-” Tay announced with a wink, getting some very mature and definitely grown up noises of ‘oooooh!~’ from the others and a knowing smirk from his twin as they grinned at the two of them.
Immediately Crosshair felt his cheeks heat up and his eyebrows furrow, shooting Tay a look of ‘What-are-you-doing-idiot?’ as the music started to play a song Crosshair didn't recognize but made Khea exclaim and cheer in delight. Crosshair honestly wasn’t sure what the hell was going on, but he was a bit embarrassed over the fact that Tay was supposedly dedicating the song to him.
That was super cheesy as hell, Crosshair decided, definitely not something really romantic and sweet that made Crosshair’s heart race a little in his chest.
But before he could unpack how he felt about having whatever song dedicated to him by his buzzed boyfriend, the music started and Tay began to sing.
“Amor, amor, te quiero tanto. Eres mi ilusión, eres mi pasión. Se al despertar, amor-”
Holy shit.
He was singing. In Spanish.
Crosshair didn’t even know he spoke Spanish.
