Are we the same person?? I watched avpm and avps like right before 8th grade and was obsessed with the very potter musicals specifically for like a year, and then watched tgwdlm when it came out I think my sophmore year of high school? It was that that got me obsessed with starkid as a whole, and I've been a huge fan ever since!! I love how this show brought so many people to this fandom and now we get to watch it again after being in love with them already!

Although had some little bit of experience with starkid (seen some memes, heard the song Twisted, my cousin showed me avpm), The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is what actually got me into Starkid, back in fall 2019, my freshman year of high school. I'm so unbelievably excited for the remount!

Every Triple A + Court combination is SO GOOD! Obviously Amangela is iconic and they have an amazing friendship and amazing chemistry. Together in every universe fr.

But Courtgela is so sweet too like I LOVE their friendship. Courtney and Angela have had so many cute little moments in the backgrounds of videos. (The first one that popped in my head is them exchanging jackets because they loved each other's jackets)

Courtrasha!! Love is Gay! They have such an underrated dynamic too like I need more videos of them interacting. I feel like Arasha lets loose more when she's around Courtney and I love it. I just love how Courtney makes everyone feel comfortable in general honestly.

Those are the three main dynamics that come to my mind besides just Triple A and Triple A + Court in general but the other combos are still great too! I love the Smosh girlies ‼️ I feel like I haven't talked about them enough yet on my blog 😭 (but I've only been here a few days so there's time lmao)

I think a big part of Smosh community, particularly on Twitter, is straight up vile. Much of the Damien hate is rooted in not liking his "vibes", or "the way he speaks". Like I've seen people unironically tweet saying Damien should just shut up and not talk because it annoys them when he talks. I've seen these same people claim that Angela hates him, or how Damien is trying to take advantage of Angela to make himself more popular because he's become a forgotten Smosh member or some stuff like that. Genuinely horrid shit that they spout with zero shame. Absolute losers.

So much of it is rooted in ableism because of him being autistic. It's fucked up and the people who act like that need to grow the hell up. Didn't your parents ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all?

When you are actively a 'hater', I consider you to be more of a fan than an actual fan, since it's all you ever talk about. These people talk about Damien and Damangela more than the actual people who stan Damien and ship Damangela to begin with! Then they turn around and complain that those people are mad at them and talking to them and it's just like... no shit? You expect people to just let you run your ableist little mouth and not have someone tell you to shut the hell up? You don't get to just talk trash about people scot free, my guys. It's beyond immature, it's beyond pathetic, and one day you're going to look back at your behavior and be embarrassed as shit and I hope that day comes sooner rather than later.

The only ship that gets shit on so hard is Damangela, because as far as I can tell everyone has decided on their own that Angela is a lesbian, and she isn't. She also cares about Damien very much. Did you guys all miss her on Perfect Person saying she sought him out drunkenly just to tell him emphatically how much she loves him and appreciates him? People have made up that she hates him just because their dynamic isn't in your face and it's ridiculous, and knowing what I know about Angela, she wouldn't appreciate people deciding she hates one of her friends. It's not cool and it's childish to do.

Sorry for the length and the rant but I'm so, so tired of this behavior. It's just middle school bullying all over again.

ngl i think the real reason people hate the idea of damangela as a duo is because they personally dislike damien and project themselves onto their favs so hard they can't imagine angela caring for him when they don't. people are so weird towards angela in that regard where they'll write off her own words about damien just so they can push this agenda that they aren't friends. like if you're actively dismissing someone's feelings and the things they've expressed to fit your agenda how can you say you care about them? damien and angela are my favorite cast members independently of one another (fan of them both through smosh and their other ventures off the channels) and over the past year i started to really enjoy their dynamic so damangela also became one of my favorite duos. being a fan of them both separately of one another allowed me to notice how often they talk about one another, praise one another, and generally appreciate one another even before i started seeing them as a duo. the hate they get just feels so... distinctly targeted in a very strange way and i can only explain it through the lens of it being projection.

I sadly think you might be right. Bc even with other Damien duos, people think he has no chemistry with anyone. Some people really think no one there likes Damien and he “tries hard” to be their friend which is not true. Angela specifically has shown time and time again she likes Damien and vice versa. As you said, they mention each other a lot and say nothing but nice things. And it’s fine if not everyone likes Damien, you don’t have to, but just straight up lying saying the cast doesn’t either is very terrible honestly

Hi! Intro post ig! I'm back in my damangela hyperfixation era and this time I decided to actually make a tumblr account lol. Idk if any og damangela dynamic enjoyers actually remember this, but I'm the one who sent a bunch of anonymous posts to @tame-a-messenger, who then nicknamed me Mitty! So to avoid using real names I'll just go by Mitty here since it was already bestowed upon me lmao.

I've been watching Smosh since the Starkid TNTL in 2023 (BRING THEM BACK!!) and obviously my favorite duo is damangela, but I also love trevrasha! And then yk most of the obvious duos everyone else likes lmao, but those two are my top two rn. My top 5 smosh members are probably Angela, Damien, Shayne, Trevor, and Courtney (not necessarily in that order idk the order tbh lol).

Now Starkid my beloved <333 I first watched the Very Potter Muscials like 8 or 9 years ago and was OBSESSED but didn't get super into Starkid as a whole until a year or two later (and instantly became hyperfixated with Starkid AND Tin Can Bros). I kinda lost my hyperfixation for them last year, but Cinderella's Castle might've brought it back for me 👀
