okay, maybe “hate” is a strong word, but he definitely doesn’t like it. it’s annoying. people are all sappy and stupid, the halls are full of pink and red decorations, and worst of all—you’re standing there with an armful of chocolates, love letters, and little gifts like some kind of valentine’s royalty.

he watches from across the hallway, arms crossed, scowl deep. every time someone hands you something, his jaw clenches a little tighter.

“tch. the hell’s wrong with people,” he mutters under his breath.

kirishima, who’s unfortunately standing next to him, grins. “jealous, bro?”

“shut up.”

but yeah, maybe he is.

it’s just—why the hell are all these extras giving you things? like, sure, you’re great—sweet, smart, way too nice for your own good—but that doesn’t mean every random idiot in school gets to shower you with gifts. you’re not theirs to spoil.

if anything, only he should be doing that.

not that he ever has. but that’s beside the point.

his eyes narrow as another guy hands you a box of chocolates, and you flash them that bright, grateful smile of yours. bakugo huffs, glaring daggers into the side of the poor bastard’s head.

“dumbass,” he grumbles, kicking the floor. “what’s so special about today anyway? if you like someone, you should just—” he cuts himself off, biting the inside of his cheek.

kirishima raises an eyebrow. “just what?”

“nothing.”

he exhales sharply, watching as you struggle to carry all your gifts, fumbling as you try to pick up a small card that falls from the pile. before he even realizes he’s moving, he’s there, grabbing the card and shoving it back into your arms.

“thanks, bakugo!” you beam at him. “this is crazy, right? i didn’t think i’d get this many.”

he clicks his tongue, looking away. “yeah. real crazy.”

you tilt your head, blinking at him. “you okay?”

“why wouldn’t i be?”

“…you just look kinda mad.”

“i always look mad.”

you laugh. “true.”

his fingers twitch. he could just—ugh, this is stupid. he could just give you something right now, claim his damn spot before any of these extras get the wrong idea.

but then you shift the pile of valentines in your arms, your sleeve slipping just enough for him to notice—one of the bracelets he gave you months ago still snug around your wrist.

…fine. maybe these other losers got their chance today.

but he’s the one who’s always gonna be around, valentine’s day or not.

you enter your room after a long day. there's nothing more you want than to just flop onto your bed and take a nice, long nap. however, as you throw your bag to the floor and are just about to dive on to the covers, you notice a pillowcase that is bright pink.

narrowing your eyes, you apprehensively poke the pillow. nothing. you slowly sit down near the end of the bed, staring at the obscure sight, pondering what that is all about.

until it occurs to you, that you've not seen your boyfriend for the last couple hours. you exhale out of your nose sharply and say, "saiki?"

"no. your pillow." the telepathic voice replies directly into your head.

you smirk, "my pillow usually doesn't talk back."

"oh." his voice echoes through your mind and causes you to chuckle, "yes. it's saiki."

"why have you morphed into a pillow?"

"as a prank." he states simply, though his answer only confuses you more.

"how is that a prank? i was about to lay down on you and crush you with my head. where's the funny?"

"i planned to release my feathers while you sleep, which would make you sneeze."

your face contorts into a digusted expression, and you hiss, "release your feather? all over my room? gross!"

"don't make it sound like an innuendo." the pillow said.

"too late. you already made it sound like one." you shrug, shuffling closer towards him. "are you going to transform back now or?"

"yes. please give me a mom—"

he is interupted as you swiftly pick him up by the corner and hurl him against the wall. his pillow form makes impact with the wall, then he transforms back into a human and dramatically slides down, until he is laying dejected on the floor.

you frown, almost feeling bad for your implusive decision. "sorry. dark reunion made me do it."

no one knew you and katsuki bakugo were in a relationship

katsuki was pissed off for no good reason. denki was asking stupid questions nonstop and eijiro unfortunately continued answering them, which sparked more questions in the electrokinetic. the blonde tried to hold in his anger and not express his annoyance, and he almost burst.

then he felt a familiar, soft hand on his back.

normally he would’ve pushed the hand off quickly, as he wasn’t too fond of physical touch from other people. but you? a whole different story. you could be all over him, cover him in lipstick and love bites, and he’d flaunt it like he was the luckiest man in the world.

he paused stabbing his fork, and looked at you, admiring the sweet smile you showed so often. he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you down to the seat next to him, making your thighs touch. to anyone else, it would seem as if katsuki was possessed by someone. since when does he even lay a hand on someone in a nice way?

the blonde looked at you up and down, “come over to my dorm tonight.” he commanded with a smug expression. he was bold, always running straight into conversations.

you rolled your eyes and tried to move closer to your boyfriend, who stared down at you with a certain glint in them. you answered, “i was already planning to, kats, you don’t need to tell me.” you looked away from his face for a minute, “won’t we get in trouble if mister aizawa sees us in the same dorm?”

he scoffed, “you always worry about that. if it makes you feel better, i’ll come to your room instead, ‘kay?” his voice sounded a bit agitated, but you knew he thought it was amusing that you were always worried about getting caught in a boy’s dorm.

you nodded and placed a kiss on his lips, and which he did the same, not wanting to let go. the two of you completely forgot about denki and eijiro across from you, who stopped their conversation to stare at you with their jaws on the ground.

the two of you pulled away from one another, and his arm still lay comfortably on your side. you shyly smiled, flustered with the intimacy. he chuckled in response, loving seeing his sweet girl embarrassed but still wanting more. once he gained self-awareness again, he realized the two meatheads across him were silent.

katsuki glared at eijiro and denki, whose jaws were still dropped, and eyes were wide. he grunted, “what are you lookin’ at?”

the redhead immediately replied, “what the hell do you mean?! you two just kissed!” he pointed at the two of you.

denki continued, “yeah, so does that mean you two are dating?!” bolts started to fly from his hair and spring outwards due to the shock.

before your boyfriend could reply, the two said in sync, “you never told us!”

katsuki finally replied, with a bit of sass apparent, “you never asked. plus, we’re always together, you should’ve noticed already, damn meatheads.”

the table was silent for a minute besides the sounds of you and the blonde taking small portions of food from his tray. his warm hand rubbed your hip, and you smiled at the touch, leaning in closer to him.

not long after, mina came over and saw how close you and the hothead were. she stood a couple feet away from katsuki’s table, then she tilted her head and looked at eijiro, who stared at her back.

suddenly, denki exclaimed, “y/n and bakugo are dating!”

mina shouted, “what?!” with the crash of her metal tray falling, along with all her lunch.

Bakugou Katsuki is completely wrapped around his girlfriend’s finger.

Sure, he tries to act all cool and indifferent in front of his friends, pulling off that tough, angry, and mean guy routine. But deep down, this man would melt in a second for his girlfriend. He’d fall to his knees just to see her smile.

Today, Bakugou Katsuki is out with his friend Kirishima, shopping for Kirishima’s girlfriend’s birthday party. Why did Katsuki agree to come? Because you were away traveling, and he was utterly bored and lonely without you by his side.

"Hey, have we met before?"

The question didn’t even register in his mind. In fact, Katsuki didn’t hear it at all. His mind assumed the question was meant for someone else nearby. He was genuinely surprised when, out of nowhere, a woman stepped in front of him with a soft, shy smile.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to say hi while I had the chance."

Katsuki quickly looked to the side, hoping to spot his friend, but to his dismay, he realized he was completely alone in this awkward moment.

"Uh, right," he muttered, cringing inwardly. What the hell? Why am I even talking to her right now?

The woman giggled, her fingers reaching out to place a hand on his chest while she leaned in a little too close, invading his personal space.

Instinctively, Katsuki stepped back, his heart immediately sinking. Oh hell nah.

"Okay, back up." He shot her a sharp glance and turned to walk away. But just as he did, he heard a voice from behind him.

"Oh, come on. She ain’t that pretty for you to turn me, this, down, is she?"

“She is that pretty, you—” Katsuki grumbled under his breath, shaking his head. He didn’t dare say it out loud—after all, his mom could be lurking nearby—but he couldn’t help but mutter the insult as he walked away, his heart set on getting back to the one person who mattered.

Three days later, you returned home. The second Katsuki saw you walking toward him at the airport, his whole demeanor softened. The tightness in his shoulders melted away, and a smile so wide spread across his face that it made his heart flutter. Without a second thought, he opened his arms wide, waiting for you to run into them.

"Hi, mama," he whispered, his voice thick with longing.

You rushed into his arms, your legs wrapping around his waist, your arms clinging to his shoulders as if you never wanted to let go. You giggled when you felt Katsuki bury his face in your neck, his warm breath sending shivers down your spine.

"You okay, Kats?" You pulled back slightly to look at his face, your heart fluttering at the lovesick gaze in his eyes. He nodded silently, his usual grumpy nature nowhere to be found. Instead, he gently lowered you back to the ground, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, as if to reassure you that everything was right with the world again.

Kirishima stood a few feet away, laughing quietly at the sight of his best friend. The contrast between the Katsuki who’d been grumpy and distant while you were gone and the Katsuki who now held you in his arms—radiating nothing but joy—was impossible to miss. He smiled softly, realizing that there was no one else who could make Katsuki shine like that.

Everyone knew that Bakugou Katsuki was absolutely smitten—utterly, hopelessly in love with you.

and really, as annoying as it is, most people can’t really blame you for not knowing. kinich is hard to read in any situation, but especially in these situations. it’s hard to catch the warmth that blooms in his eyes when he looks at you, or the way he follows you around almost unconsciously, protective.

but onlookers can tell, because there’s no faking the way kinich orbits you day by day.

that includes your best friend, heizou, who insists on proving it to you. he won’t stop going on and on about how kinich is so deeply in love with you, and you just won’t believe him.

so that’s how he finds himself face to face with kinich in the quad before class, weight shifting between his feet. he’s not nervous—heizou rarely is—but he can barely hold in a laugh when he sees you hiding behind a tree nearby.

“heizou?” kinich starts testingly. the two of them aren’t really friends, more like acquaintances by association. so it had probably been a bit strange to receive a text asking him to meet.

heizou sighs. “i’m gonna cut to the chase. what’s the deal with you and her?”

he doesn’t even need to say your name—kinich stiffens all the same, unnerved by the mention of you falling from someone else’s lips.

“…we’re friends,” kinich replies after a moment of horribly obvious hesitation. heizou has to fight back a gleeful smile.

“oh, great!” he sings, already moving to skip away. “that means you’d have no problem with me asking her out. i’m so glad we had this chat—“

“hey, hold on.”

kinich’s hand latches onto heizou’s shoulder, and suddenly the situation feels much less funny. when he turns, kinich’s eyes are narrowed, expression severe.
