You've liked Bakugo for a while now, but haven't had the courage to confess. All your friends know about your crush on him and have tried to help before but nothings ever felt right.

Midoriya especially tried to help and give you encouragement whenever you were feeling down about your infatuation. He would watch how you'd pine over Bakugo, in class, during training, and especially during lunch. He could fill his whole journal with how much you gush over him.

During one of your guys most recent hangouts, you both spending the weekend together at the mall. While stopping to eat at the food court, he once again listened as you talked about his childhood friend.

Tired of seeing you obsess over and doing nothing to try and talk to him, he decided take the situation in his own hands and make you confess.

"Pretend we're on a date" Midoriya states out of nowhere.

"Excuse me" you say dropping a fry.

"You and me, in this food court, we're on a date."

"Listen dude, you a great guy but-" you said trying to let him down that you don't like him like that.

"Not like that!" he yells interrupting you.

"Okay geez! why am I on a date with you"

"Not with me, with Bakugo"

"Oh your engaging in my delusions, you're so supportive" you laugh thinking he's joking.

"No, I want you to practice talking as if I was Bakugo. You've been pining over him the whole year and it's time you try and do something " He says straight faced.

"You know this is never going to end up going anywhere right, I mean I can barely talk to Bakugo much less say how I feel."

"I don't care, I just want you to try. Say everything you want to say to him." Midoriya says with sympathy in his tone.

You can't believe you were gouging to pretend that you were on a date with Bakugo, talk about hitting rock bottom. Midoriya grabs you hand and waits for you to be ready, your hands getting sweaty just from the thought of it being Bakugo.

You take a deep breath, already knowing what you were going to say. Modoriya smiled waiting for you to start, hoping this would help you try and do the real thing.

"Bakugo I've liked you for a while, ever since Aizawa's fitness test. Your strong will, confidence, and determination to be number one made me admire you, and I know we don't talk and you probably don't even remember my name but, will you go out with me." You said all this shaking as you imagine it was him you were giving your heart too.

You look up, breaking the illusion as you met eyes with Midoriya. "See that wasn't so bad!" he cheers going back to eating. "Now all you need to do is repeat this tomorrow at school." You felt better getting everything off your chest, starting to think on the bright side. "You know what, if I have an opportunity alone with him I'll do it." You promised, hoping all goes well if you get the chance. Continuing your shopping trip with a new surge of confidence, trusting your dear friend that this will all go well.

"Will you go out with me"

Those six words Bakugo heard come out of your mouth as you sit with Midoriya, his hand in yours as he smiles at you.

He didn't even think twice before crushing the gift he just bought from a boutique he overheard you talking about before. Hoping to gift it to you when he decided to confess, but that was for nothing now that he heard you confess to Deku.

Of course it was him, you both were practically glued at the hip since starting at U.A. But all his friends told him to go for it, saying you guys were just friends.

He even convinced himself that nothing was going on, with the way he caught you staring sometimes, overhearing both of your friends talk about you and him, shipping you guys. He'd hold back a smile as he heard it, imagining you both together, but that was all a lie.

Seeing you and Deku with his own eyes, made him realize that it was never him, you had feelings for the kid who followed him all through out his childhood, not him.

Throwing the gift bag in the trash, he stormed out of the shopping mall, facing the fact that you were never his.

Your legs shaking as you stood up when the lunch bell rang, turning to look at Midoriya giving you a thumbs up.

Walking towards Bakugo as he put away his supplies, you gathered the courage to look up at him and ask, "Hey Bakugo, I was wondering if I could talk to you." your hands shaking with nerves.

He looks down at you, his expression blank before glancing at something behind you, his face quickly shifting into a glare back down at you.

"Did your little boyfriend send you to break the big new thinking I'd care." he said with fake sarcasm.

"What boy-"

"Save it, I don't need him sending you to tell me something as irrelevant as his dumb relationship status with you."

"Talk to me when something is actually worthy of my attention, better yet don't talk to me at all." he said shoving Midoriya's shoulder as he stormed off.

You were left there dumbfounded, the boy you've been obsessed over just blew you off and told you never to speak to him. Not even getting the chance to confess.

With tears in your eyes, you rush to grab your things and leave, heading to the bathrooms so no one could see you cry.

Midoriya witnessing the whole thing, chases after Bakugo, hoping to understand what just happened.

He catches up to Bakugo as he tries to storm off to lunch, grabbing his shoulder and stopping him.

"Who- oh"

"What do you want Deku, want to show off that you're dating her now."

"What are you talking about?"

"Me and her were never dating, she finally built up the confidence to ask you on a date and you just blow her off."

"Now what are you talking about, I saw you at the mall together and she asked you out."

"That was fake! She was practicing with me for you!" He shouts

Midoriya can see the dread hit Bakugo as he realizes what's happened. Not waiting for him to continue talking Bakugo rushes off to find you.

Hearing sniffling coming from the bathroom, he rapidly knocks on the door."

"Hey! Come out I need to talk to you." He says hoping you'd hear over the loud sniffles.

"Why, I thought you didn't want me to talk to you ever again." You say voice shaking from all the crying.

"It was a misunderstanding okay, I was mad because I thought you were dating Deku."

"Why would you ever think I was dating Midoriya." You cry out.

"I saw you asking him out at the mall and thought you liked him, not me."

"Will you come out so I can see you face to face." Bakugo pleads.

You finally open the door, cracking it as you peak behind it. "What do you mean not you?"

"I thought you liked me and was going to ask you out, until I saw you with him."

"You were going to ask me out?" You said opening the door a little bit wider.

"Yeah I was, now can you come out so I can still do it."

Finally you step out from the bathroom, standing in front of him, eyes and nose red from crying. Bakugo thinking you still look beautiful.

"Now will you stop crying go out with me"

"Yes" you say smiling up at him.

Bakugo couldn't help but smile back as he wipes a stray tear from your cheek.

thinking about kinich, who is reminded of your wedding while chatting to his gaming buddies between matches, and doesn't understant the outcry when he finishes his anecdote.

"you're MARRIED!?!?"

the exclamation rang so loudly through his headset that the sound became warped.

"yeah? I have been for a while."

"what the fuck dude. since fucking when??"

"like nearly three years now? our anniversary's next month- have I seriously not mentioned this?"

"no!! I mean, I knew about (Y/N), but you've never mentioned being married!"

the revelation struck kinich into silence. sure, it wasn't the kind of group that regularly talked about their personal life, but he must have mentioned being married to you - he had been gaming with these people since barely after your wedding. he spoke of you often enough, albeit in passing.

...though, now he thought about it, he did usually just refer to you by name. and it had taken him a little while to break out of the habit of calling you his partner, so maybe that's what he had introduced you as. shit, had he really not told them you were married?

"i- you know what, let me turn on my camera. (Y/N)!"

soft footsteps, and then you poked your head into the bedroom.

"what's up, kin?"

"c'mere," he beckoned, arm snaking around your waist when you reached his chair. you noticed the camera was on, and gave a shy wave, never having shown your face to his online friends before, "so, uhh. apparently i never told them we're married."

you could hear the guffaws and teasing through the headset, no doubt laughing about how he's gonna be in the doghouse for this one. but once his sheepish words finally processed in your mind, all you could do was look at him and laugh, first in disbelief before it turned into full, chest-aching laughter.

"you what??" you managed, resting your forehead in his hair as you continued to laugh, "how on earth did you manage that?"

"i honestly don't know," he responded, beginning to laugh with you. in his ear, his teammates were chuckling about how he was lucky to have such a forgiving spouse, but he was more focused on your body pressed against his side and your infectious laugh as you extracted yourself from his hair to look down at him with a bemused smile. he just knew he was never going to hear the end of this, but that adoring gleam in your eyes had him as besotted as he had been approximately two years and eleven months ago.

"well, guys," you turned to face his grainy camera, your face next to kinich's to speak into his mic. you held your hand up, proudly flashing your wedding band, "believe it or not, the rumours are true. kinich is my husband."

you didn't catch the lovestruck look he was sending you, but through his headset, you just about caught someone calling him a simp.

Boyfriend Giyuu who hasn’t fully settled into the idea of being in a relationship. Letting someone get so close feels foreign to him, terrifying even, because in his mind, anyone he loves he loses.

Boyfriend Giyuu who, on that note, is fiercely protective. If you’re a Demon Slayer or a Hashira, he refuses to let you go on missions alone. He’s always nearby, shadowing your steps, ready to intervene at the first sign of trouble. If you’re a civilian, it’s even worse. He declines long missions after you start dating, assigning someone he trusts (poor Tanjiro) to watch over you when he can’t. Heaven help them if they slip up and something happens to you on their watch, Giyuu will put them through weeks of grueling training as punishment.

Boyfriend Giyuu who does all this because he physically cannot bear the thought of losing someone he loves again. If he’s let you into his life, you’ve become his priority, and he’ll do whatever it takes to ensure you’re safe.

Boyfriend Giyuu who pretends not to care about your affection but gets so grumpy the moment you forget his daily good morning or welcome-back kiss. “So… you’ve decided you don’t love me anymore.” His tone is deadpan, but the slight pout at the corner of his lips gives him away “What?!”

Boyfriend Giyuu who bats your hand away any time you try to initiate PDA. But later that evening, he’s wrapped around you like a koala, his face buried in your tummy, arms locked tightly around you. His silent glare dares you to complain about his hypocrisy.

Boyfriend Giyuu who secretly loves when you leave little trinkets or items at his place. His once barren apartment slowly starts looking homier, softer, little touches of you filling the empty space. (Seriously, did you see how empty his house was in that one episode? get some furniture damn #psycho. At least we know where Kim K got her inspiration from)

Boyfriend Giyuu who completely suffocates you in his sleep. He wraps his limbs around you so tightly, practically lying on top of you, like a human blanket. You like to tease him that his subconscious is just making up for all the affection he represses during the day.

Boyfriend Giyuu who is surprisingly tender despite his cold, aloof exterior. Gentle touches, small but thoughtful gifts, and quiet acts of service speak volumes about how much he loves you, even when he doesn’t say it out loud.

Boyfriend Giyuu who loves you more than words can express. And even if he doesn’t always know how to show it, he hopes you feel it in the way he holds you, protects you, and stays by your side.

y'know how kittens scream bloody murder and alter their voices when they're left alone but immediately pull a 180 when they get attention ? katsuki. it's him it's him and he's so irritating about it.

the moment he feels you've been gone for too long, he starts belting, singing–screeching your name until you show up. he just doesn't seem to notice how hard it makes you shit your pants when he pulls that kind of stunt.

you're sure he can hear the way you stomp like a herd of elephants all the way from the living room, you're ready for a fire, a burglar –anything.

you find your boyfriend calmly munching on some chips scrolling on his phone.

you're convinced you've lost your mind when he blinks back at you calmly, like he expected you to explain yourself.

"katsuki."

"mm ?" his cheeks puff out a little as he chews another handful of chips.

you feel your fingers twitch "what the hell was that ?! why'd you scream ?"

he has the nerve to furrow his brows "didn't scream. you weren't responding when i was callin' you normally, i just spoke louder."

"you didn't speak–you yelled my name out like you were getting bludgeoned." you wheeze out.

katsuki huffs, putting his phone down next to him on the couch. a slight pout forms onto his face "..well why were you gone so long ?"

"i was peeing." you deadpan, eyes wide. "i was in the bathroom, i told you that."

silence. and more silence, then katsuki discards his bowl of chips and reaches for your arm "well ya took too long. c'mere." before pulling you towards him and squeezing his head into your shoulder.

it's even worse when you don't tell him you're leaving. it could be the middle of the night with him having to wake up early the next day. you could've just gone to get a glass of water and moments later he's screeching like a banshee. you're used to it by now and after chugging down your drink with a "coming !" he's already practically wide awake (ignore his eyes drooping and the very loud yawn he let out and quickly tried to shut his mouth when you walked in) arms crossed and sitting up in bed. he'll give you a quick once over and huff, that pout again, and he speaks.

"where'd you go ? don't jus' leave like that. ." you hum, going along with his every complaint of how you 'took too long'. he shoves your head into his chest like you're a plushie and noses at your shoulder. you feel him mutter against your skin before falling asleep again."had me worried 'bout you an' shit. ."

RANT #1: SHIP COMMENTS

I HATE HATE HATE how toxic sides of fandoms would pick on popular straight ships by commenting father-daughter on every other straight ship contents and had the balls to say "I'm allowed to have an opinion!🤪" like can you keep it to yourself and find contents that suits you?

Also.. father-daughter??? Seriously??? Do they even know what father-daughter relationship is like??? Or do they not have a father to know what father-daughter relationship actually is???

The straight ship apparently had

✅ Jaw dropping symbolisms

✅ Subtle flirty lines (seriously? what father daughter would flirt with each other)

✅ Treats each other like an equal and have no need for parental affection

✅ Has official crumbs from the creators

And they would be like, OMG FATHER DAUGHTER!

Don't get me started with the "siblings dynamic" they always gaslight themselves to believe in because apparently that certain straight ship gets in the way of the most sexualized/fetishized ml𝐦 ship that has no actual mlm shippers and was just created because some fans are so h0rny they want to get off by making two of the most random male characters f𝐯ck with each other and the most "obvious evidence" they could present is that the male characters are beside each other in the official art or "they give g𝐚y vibes" / one is dominant and the other is a "f𝐞mboy" self insert character.

...or maybe they're insecure about some female characters? ISTG they will always find a way to hate the most gorgeous/kind/gentle/well-written female characters especially when they're involved in a popular straight ship on which one of the characters (most of the time male) is also involved in a rival g𝐚y ship.

And when there's an actual healthy g𝐚y ship they'd act as if it doesn't exist, probably because the characters don't make them h0rny asf.

Like come on, just say you hate straight ships instead of finding the most ridiculous "evidences" to debunk them and shoehorn your headcanon to other people, ignoring the actual pieces of information presented to you because you're butt hurt from the truth and you use shipping g𝐚y characters to cope with a certain real life straight relationship trauma.
