i'm so tired of the yaoi-ification of mlm ships where people feel the need to make one of them (usually the fandom-assigned bottom) into a teeny tiny waifish twink and the other into a huge musclebound super aggro guy (usually the fandom-assigned top) i know this is like a thing many people have been saying for years but i just feel like it has never actually gotten better in fandom spaces. the fatphobia of it, the gender essentialism, the homophobia, it's all so fucking annoying it makes me want to scream

rarity is so special to me. known for being very beautiful and posh. owns a bitch ass cat. constantly rejects the advances of a younger boy (lesbian). is kinda infatuated with the main character (a girl) in the first few episodes (lesbian). became infatuated with a boy in theory only to become disinterested once getting to know him (lesbian). has the most adorable little sister (sweetie bell my absolute darling). seamstress and makes dresses for her friends for special events. was inspired by audrey hepburn. uses her powers to follow her passions (fashion) instead of her cutie mark (related to gems specifically). gained her cutie mark while costuming for a play. says "darling" often with a trans-atlantic accent. stress-eats ice cream. she's a soprano and can shred guitar. uses big words. yeah she means the world to me
