I really like the idea that gjo and geto matched different things! So I applied that context with the hair ties.

In HI gjo is the one who appears with the hair ties for the first time! Maybe as a gift? To match after seeing that gto always has her hair up

After the breakup, Geto adopts Gojo's hairstyle, while Gojo lets her hair grow in a mesSy way.

So after Gto death., the same night of the night parade, Gjo cuts her hair! It was hard for her to brush it/or pick it up, touching it made her remember the times when Geto did it for her. She got a lump in her throat touching her own hair, with the same hands that took Gto life.
