list of cool shit in the spartan field manual so far:

Scientists populate the gut of S-IVs with specialized bacteria to help them absorb more nutrients (and they can also eat things regular humans can’t)

They also do lots of cool funky stuff to their genes (which is super classified but Spartans will probably have super-babies because of it)

Peak combat effectiveness in IVs is estimated to be at least a century!

Spartan training includes Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido

Spartans are not required to salute while wearing Mjolnir (probably so they don’t concuss themselves like John did), and cannot salute Navy officers with their left hand

Spartans are put on maintenance duty rotations and have to do menial chores on Infinity like the rest of the crew

They released an official Spartan rank structure! I’ll make another post for that since it’s too detailed for this one

they have a CINCSPAR (which im assuming is Musa) that acts as the entire head of the Spartan branch, meaning that it’s officially an entirely separate branch and not just a special weapons extension of the Navy

War Games maps are constructed via augmented VR in Mjolnir suit systems

War Games are hosted on orbital platforms for Spartans not stationed on large ships (and the matches are filmed and broadcasted on public UEG stations!)

They call the IIs warrior-scholars and talk about how highly educated and smart they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other MCPOs in the UNSC are referred to as “top chiefs” instead out of deference to John, THE Master Chief

The manual claims that the S-II & III programs were highly classified to keep the Covenant from knowing about them (lmao)

Claims S-IIs were all volunteers and “picked from a young age”

Halsey isn’t credited with creating the Spartan project or Mjolnir in the history section (she gets a brief mention in a “classified” section that I think is supposed to be something extra that the IVs aren’t allowed to have), and they also don’t credit her with figuring out that Spartans were necessary to keep humanity from self-annihilation 

It says chief’s “callsign” is John-117, not his full name, and that his last name is classified to protect his family (LMAOOO)
