That is a good question considering that the first case was diagnosed in the US. But it may be a bit early to jump to the conclusion that an epidemic is at hand. There are some precautions one can take. For one, it is not something airborn you can catch from someone coughing or sneezing. If someone tells you they have just gotten off a plane from West Africa. Then you might want to be careful. Other than that it is not at this point something to be overly concerned over.
But be vigilant and read/watch the news.

Masks
Gloves
Alcohol
Bleach
Know Ebola Symptoms:
Fever (greater than 38.6°C or 101.5°F)
Severe headache
Muscle pain
Weakness
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Abdominal (stomach) pain
Unexplained hemorrhage (bleeding or bruising)
