It's October and I am reading Lockwood&Co right now so I drew Annabel Ward
(I also can't believe that I firstly post on tumblr in 2023...)
Going back to my roots (drawing Tensimm shipping fanart)
Holly Refrence Drawing which I decided to render
(Ignore the weird hand positions)
I found a very very old comic about that moment in the 5th book
The black parade can ABSOLUTELY be interpreted homoerotically. Like the whole thing. All of it.
If you believe hard enough
I have way too much time on my hands
Drawing a few characters from the books (only posted Lockwood & Lucy here) started so that I could imagine them better, but now I'm invested and I wanna start a project where I draw all characters + side cast and locations and items and I know that I'm gonna stop after a few characters but on the other hand it would be nice to get myself back into character design and animation that way
I think there should be a community for people who are insane about 'The Black Parade' where we share out interpretations, theories, fan art, fanfics and just generally ideas. That would be fun I think
having queer feelings about the black parade during this ungodly hour (it's 3 am)
Like, I could probably write a 10 page essay on why, in my personal interpretation, the black parade is about a bisexual cancer patient who's not on good terms with his family and about the ghost of a trans man that was rejected by his mother and joined the army to prove his masculinity and how, over the course of the album, they both come to terms with moving on to the afterlife and connecting over their shared experience of a wasted life, an unloving family that rejected them for their queerness and dying alone
And I know that that's not actually what it's about, but I still think it makes for a great story and interpretation. The meaning of art is always subjective to the one perceiving it and this way of looking at it brings me joy
