PS: OG Katarina can imitate bakarina very well, too much... no one can differentiate them. Until bakarina can't pretend anymore, she can't imitate "Rina" for a long time

Hey! I feel a little dumb for asking but in the Mando S3 Trailer Bo says that "your (Din's) cult fractured our people" … was Bo not part of the cult aka Death Watch herself? I’m a bit murky on her story line and when she left DW and when in that timeline Mandalore fell. Is she just being an ass here because Din still tries to follow the DW rules and she got out?

Hi! It's not dumb at all, because the connection between Death Watch and Children of the Watch is unclear--they must be connected in some way, but they can't be the same thing because: - Din was rescued by Mandalorians with Death Watch on their armor, but we don't know that he was raised by them, he says he was raised in the "Fighting Corp" and doesn't recognize the name "Children of the Watch" when Bo-Katan says it to him - Pre Vizsla and the other Mandalorians who refused to give up the violent warrior ways were living on Concordia and he was the leader of Death Watch, so it's probably safe to assume they had a strong presence there. The Children of the Watch were living on Concordia at the time of the Empire glassing Mandalore, which is why they weren't killed along with everyone else. - Death Watch does not live by the rule of never being able to take off your helmet, so it can't be the exact same thing as the Children of the Watch. (Further, the way Bo-Katan says it, while you can argue that she is kind of a hypocrite--girl, YOU were part of the group that brought Maul to Mandalore, you don't get to be high and mighty about him being a problem there--I don't think the show meant for us to assume she was once part of COTW.) - It's unclear how much of a presence COTW had in the galaxy or how hidden they were--Paz Vizsla says that the Empire is why they're hiding like rats in sewers, but Din is extremely unaware of any other kind of Mandalorian, so were they just running around Concordia? Or is it bad writing that wanted to ignore there were other types of Mandalorians running around? Or is it just that Din doesn't know shit about fuck when it comes to Mandalore? - There may be more context to Bo-Katan's line of "your cult fractured our people" that we don't have yet--did something happen with COTW after she got the Darksaber? Is she referring to them being hidden when they needed them? Is she lumping them in with Death Watch or blaming them for the shitshow with Maul and not fighting back against him? Too many questions without an answer yet! tl;dr: While I think Death Watch and COTW are related somehow (perhaps an offshoot of Death Watch?), they're not the same thing and Bo-Katan never was part of Children of the Watch. Anything else, I'm not sure we have enough info on!

thoughts on the julius is the 4th zogratis theory ( youtuber called broku made a vid on it )

OK, I ended up letting this sit in the inbox for a while but here's my 2 cents

It's pure bullshit for two main reasons:

1) Julius is not the 4th sibling because it doesn't make sense via his character arc/written character

And

2) We already know/can guess who the 4th Zogratis Sibling is

We know for a fact that the Zogratis sibs all have magic that is connected to the human body. Julius' time magic fits nowhere in that. It's likely that the 4th sibling has some form of mind/soul magic to complete that.

With Julius, we have canon evidence of him getting a clover grimoire and him living in Clover, which contradicts how he could be in 2 places at the same time. Not just that, but the thing about us not knowing a lot about the Novachrono house? Same goes with the Roselei, Legolant and Gravorka houses but nobody's pointing fingers there for some reason.

(Ie he was likely around 27 when the Spade Coup happened, and, if we think about it, he would have likely been even younger when we first see the Zogratis 4th sib).

It also wouldn't make sense if Julius had managed to become a Grey Deer and the magic King when he wasn't in a register. We saw how they treated Nero with it, and as you can tell it would have been a lot worse back in the past. Pretty sure Clover has some unwritten "must be clover Nobility to apply for Wizard King position", since there haven't been any talks of a commoner/peasant Wizard king until Asta and Yuno crashed teh political party.

The mark on his forehead? The swallowtail magic tool is literally that.

Him having time magic which means he's devil contracted? literally doesnt need to be a zogratis for julius to be possessed by a devil, if he even was possessed and somehow managed to hide it for over 30 years (especially with Damnatio poking his nose everywhere)

All that, and the main thing that disproves this?

We already know who the 4th Zogratis sibling is.

It's Vergil Zogratis.

Dante's name is inspired by the Divine Comedy, where Dante Aligheri travels through hell.

Here's the thing, he doesn't travel alone. The one that takes him on the trip to Inferno, is Vergilius.

Vergil, who he looks up to and has encyclopedic knowledge of hell, who literally walks Dante through hell and explains everything to him. We LITERALLY see that his first pieces of dialogue is about Zenon being prime devil host material.

It's already kind of obvious that Vergil is dead (number 4 meaning death, he was already dying when Zenon was baby,) by the time of the coup. But the fact still stands that Vergil was undeniably the one to pull the Zogratis family into demonology.

Vergil likely was pushy for Zenon, prime subject, to become devil host and may have orchestrated Allen's death. All of the siblings obviously look up to Vergil. Zenon for being kindest to him, Vanica because he likely brought lots of strong people and power her way via devil contract and Dante by instilling his philosophy to him and letting him carry on his message.

Virgillius was a poet who wrote the Aenaeid and one who Dante Alighieri VERY much adored. Wouldn't be off for Dante to to look up to Vergil Zogratis if he was basically raised by him.

Another thing, we can guess that Vergil would be contracted to Astaroth, the time devil. Astaroth's main powers include knowledge of all that is time (Past, Present, Future) and has a foul breath that you needed an amulet for to repell.

Would it be a stretch that Vergil made a contract with Astaroth for Knowledge but the more he was told, the sicker he would get? I'm betting my left ass cheek on it.

cons4eva’s name is “symbols.”

let me explain. 

in this panel, he introduces himself by name. of course, it’s written in a font that looks alien. but i came across the dwarven font in the dungeons and dragons player handbook and recognized it from this panel. i immediately had to translate his name because i was insanely curious and wanted to know for writing and roleplaying purposes (i had a short-lived cons4eva rp blog). so i went in search of the font.

i found the font, called davek, available here, installed it on my computer, and went about figuring out cons4eva’s name. i noted that the name in the panel was upside down, compared to the original font and made the changes necessary.

so, once all the flips were made so the font was the right direction, i put the font to a regular font and got “.slobmys” as a result. period included because it’s included in the original text as well.

HOWEVER.

because i had done all that flipping, including the fact that the name was now “backwards” for the original name, we can put “.slobmys” backwards and get the name “symbols.”

whether this was intentional from either jro or the letterer, chris mowry, i don’t know, i’ve never asked, but i thought it was kind of cool that cons4eva’s name could be translated to an actual word and not nonsense, like some other times i’ve “translated” other text from primal vernacular. this was, as i said, mostly done for curiosity’s sake and fun, i just thought i’d share this little tidbit.
