Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons

In my mind, Juno looks just like his mother.
Guache on paper
Chapter 9 of Nike, who hesitates.
Fun fact: in the first draft I started with Little Lion Man as my inspiration.
MY FAVOURITE EVER BET HE TRIES TO EAT FLOWERS TO FEEL PRETTY MY LOVE <33
This is for the flower language prompt from the @penumbra-creator-collective I got really distracted looking up meanings of flowers I didn't even bother drawing lol
the flower meanings I ACTUALLY used are under the cut
The flowers in the background:
Rue - regret
Asphodel - eternal regret
Petunia - anger
Basil & Lavender - betrayal
Datura & Wormwood - spurned lover :(
Marigold - grief
The flowers on his outfit:
Rose - love <33
Oak leaves - bravery
Clematis - intelligence and ingenuity
Hawthorn - Hope and overcoming hardship

Crazy how you can pinpoint the second Rex Glass becomes Peter Nuyerev in the very first episode of the penumbra. Because he starts out as sweet and sickly as he is with Nova Zolatovna- βis there room in that window for two?β, all the purring and the flirting and the running his tongue over his canines-ing.
But you can see - right when Juno tells βRexβ to punch him again - the walls start to fall a bit. Heβs just a little too concerned, a little too hesitant, unwilling to keep up the grandeur in the face of this private investigator who Peter suspects is too masochistic for his own good. They crumble when Juno tells the truth about his brother, I think because Peter doesnβt know how to react with true, hard-won honesty without returning it in kind.
And the walls creep back up later, sure - we know heβs ready to go long before Juno snaps the cuffs on his wrists. But I think itβs important that we did get to see the real Peter Nureyev in the first episode. Juno did too. I truly believe that thatβs the reason he doesnβt really give up on Nureyev in season 1. Because he might not believe that he knows who Peter Nureyev really is, but deep down in his bones, he does.
Can i also point out how freaking funny is that Telemachus went on a "diplomatic" mission, only to return cosplaying as Athena to kill the suitors?
Telemachus: "im going to kill those bastards"
Athena: "no not dressed like that"
Telemachus: "ok better?"
Athena: "yes bitch slay"
