pt1 I'm new to this fandom so maybe I'm going blind with this thing and maybe only webtoon stuff/ fanfics? Idk ( I'm trying to read more comics but life and work is not fun ) anyway- I just want to draw them and it's been 1 year of art block and this stupid family is bringing me too much joy in my life.

(The reason Jason said 'he' was because he knew one of his kids had gone up to Roy and said something to warn him or scare him off. And, of course it was one of the boys because the girls wouldn't do that. They'd throw rocks and shit at him, sure, but not actively try to push Roy away from Jason. They knew he cared too much about Roy to even tip the scales.)
Roy: He said that you're their protecter but they were yours too. He said that if I were to hurt you then they'd get to me before the bats even knew about it. He was- fuck, Jaybird, he was so cute.
Jason: *Can't help but smile.* He threatened your life.
Roy, shaking his head: I don't care. I want that one. Can we have that one?
Jason: *Pauses but then smiles. He presses a kiss to the corner of Roy's mouth.* Whatever you want, baby.
Roy, eyes bright: Really? Because Tyler is so protective of you and he loves you so much and I just wanna rap in a blanket and love him.

*Jason cuts him off with a kiss because Roy's so pretty when he's annoyed and Jason was having trouble not kissing him before when he was talking about kids because Tyler meant so much to Jason and yes of course he wants to have a kid with Roy- and an added bonus of giving that 4-year-old a good life to enjoy? Have him be able to live in their house but also be able to stay with the rest of the Narrows' kids whenever he wanted or whenever he missed them? Jackpot. Jason really got lucky, didn't he?*

Y'all may disagree, but Bruce is a fictional character. So, with the classist bs DC has been saying about Jason, we can say that any classist shit Bruce has ever said about Jaybin is more DC speaking through him than his actual character. And also, it is weird af to have a man that believes in infinite second chances and bad guys becoming good, to also believes children born from criminals will become criminals. The math isn't mathing, DC.
Anyway, 80s Bruce loved his studious adorable baby that stole his tires, and he has admitted his reasoning behind taking Jason in was "I miss having a kid around" and not actually "Jason will become a criminal if I don't intervene".

after Dick being less than happy with being Jason’s older brother for so many years, i think Jason finding out about Damian and deciding fuck it it’s HIS turn to terrorise a younger sibling would be so funny. Damian is so sick of this man. Jason doesn’t even get to try having a secret identity because upon seeing him in Gotham Damian gets so tired so quickly that he outs him without thinking.

To be known mainly for having died is an interesting- kind of unique way a character can exist (atleast in comics) imo

Some subtle details i included are like, uh… The lineart for Jason is red, the color of anger. Facing betrayal once again from a parental figure mounting fury. The color of the lineart of Jaybin is- well it’s brown but it’s yellow hued. Yellow, the color of fear. He was so young, yes he was probably angry but he was scared. Both of them are angry and scared for sure. But some more than the other :3 I also chose red for the lighting of Jason cuz redhood- betrayal, etc I fear the green for Jaybin is a lil obvious. Not only it being joker but the eventual lazarus pit. bruised and bloodied knuckles on Jaybin. He fought (idk exactly how it went in the comics but don’t touch me.) maybe punched at the door or smthin trying to get out. tried to include the outfits from the comics they were in, Jaybin is missing his gloves because i fucking FORGOT but i liked his hands too much anyways.. I wasn’t going to put the gun in at first but after glancing at the panel for a bit i was like ‘eh sure. why not.’ since Jason had a gun beside him as he collapsed. Oh and their eyes are basically lined up <3
