Soulmate facts x Cosmic Love

Danny had grown constantly checking his soulmate facts. He wasn’t the youngest of his soulmates (there had been two long years where he thought he didn’t have one, where Dash’s words hit hard, before he woke up one day to Arabic on his left arm and English on his right.)

Danny made sure to write down everything about his soulmates. He learned Arabic, struggling for months before he finally learned the basics. He made sure to never cover them, except when he was Phantom, of course. He couldn’t wait to meet them.

Jon was one year, two months and five days older than his youngest soulmate. He begged his mom to help him find someone to teach him Arabic, and only ever hid his arms when he was in costume.

He dreamed of finally fitting with people. He couldn’t wait until he finally met them, and could protect them. He couldn’t wait to never be alone again.

Damian was taught from a young age that his soulmates were important and sacred. They would be his consorts, joining him just as grandmother had joined grandfather for so long.

Damian knew having two soulmates was rare, but he swore he wouldn’t hide them. He wore his arms like badges of honor, tracing the words reverently.(He was the youngest, unfortunately, but he catalogued every fact to help him find them when he was older.)

Damian met Jon for the first time when he was 11, with the matching sentence “I want to be an astronaut.” catching his eye the minute he entered the room.

(It was annoying they shared the same facts, but Jon pointed out the matching was the way they found each other immediately (Damian maintains he would have recognized Jon as his soulmate within a few weeks, simply due to the facts he had memorized about them over the years.)

Jon flew to Wayne Manor the moment he saw that their third’s sentence changed to “I hate dying every day.” They spent months trying to figure out if their soulmate was a meta with a regeneration factor or a terminally ill person whose heart stopped often.

The next years sentence, “My parents tried to dissect me.” was the final straw. They were finding their soulmate, or they would burn the world with them.

DpxDc AU: Tim as a child was never given a lot of information regarding the scribbling messy handwriting that appeared over night all over his arms- naturally he came to his own conclusions.

Tim Drake was home entirely alone at 9 years old and was about to go out for the night to test his brand new long exposure camera lens when he sees the writing on his arm. It’s not English, like he assumed it was at first, but it was using the alphabet to represent… Tim isn’t bad at math but this formula is complex for his little genius brain.

Looking at his camera, he decides he can spare a moment to look it up, solve it, and get back out into old town Gotham in time for Batman and Robin’s final patrol lap. He does just that, finding the problem to relate to some aerospace engineering and then quickly deduces what laws and theorems need to be applied. He finds a pen, writes down his findings in much neater handwriting onto his arm, and goes out. It’s barely a remarkable night at all. He gets a much more memorable photo of Robin roundhouse kicking a hench person.

Things just continued on that way. Tim would find some complex math, physics or chemistry prompt on his arm (surrounded by various question marks or notes or sad faces)- he’d answer it as best he could and move on with his life. Perhaps his parents were manifesting these pop quizzes? Perhaps his subconscious felt guilty about abandoning his studies for more Bat related pursuits? Tim really didn’t care to think much about it once he became Robin- there was too much on his plate and too many peoples problems for him to fix.

Notably, however, after the attack at the Tower, the pop quiz appeared and Tim wrote back that he wouldn’t be able to find an answer to this one. It was the only time Tim questioned the markings appearance and it was because the next thing that appeared was “Hope you feel better soon.”

… his parents wouldn’t include that on a pop quiz. Cursed then. Tim decided it must be a curse, whatever, he’d deal with the implications later in life.

Tim then has the worst year of his life, hes 15, no longer Robin and the questions from his curse are getting less math oriented and more… philosophical. A lot of mentions of death that, in hindsight helped him actually grieve, and a lot of theories about dark matter and souls. Tim answers back as best he can but he’s drained and his answers aren’t very good in his opinion. He gets minimal feedback.

It all comes to a point that he’s at a family dinner, Bruce is at the head of the table, Jason has promised just to stay for dessert, Damian hasn’t thrown a single insult his way and Steph was laughing at him- when a new theoretical model appears on his arm.

“You’re just as bad as Bruce, Timberly. Hiding a soulmate from all of us, how fucking typical.” Jason points out, while watching Tim scribble back some math with a question mark onto his arm.

“A what? No, this is just a curse. I get pop quizzes every now and then.” Tim bats away Steph who rapidly approaches and began to analyze his arm (the rest of the family isn’t far behind).

“Drake. Explain how you came to this conclusion.” Damian seems more curious than anything, if his lack of insults was anything to go off of.

“Since I was young I’ve had at least weekly math check ins, I never had a parent or anyone else around so I assumed my parents had me cursed to ensure I stayed on top of my studies. Sometimes it’s physics or chemistry, for a while there it was a ton of philosophy and behavioral psychology.” He shrugs his shoulders.

“Master Tim, I believe the lack of adults in your life has led you towards a false conclusion. That is most certainly a soulmate mark. The individual to whom you are responding is undoubtedly your other half.” Alfred attempts to calm the room before explaining to Tim. Tim isnt sure if he believes the butler, though Alfred only very rarely lied, so he grabs the pen once more. He writes his first question back: “Who am I to you?”

The room waits in anticipation and within moments a brand new line appears on Tim’s arm and he is vindicated: “We do math together???”

The reason Danny is failing English is because his built in homework helper sucks ass at metaphors and has apparently never read any classic literature. The tutor on his arm is great at puzzles and math tho.

Danny gets a reply back one night that he wasn’t expecting (Who am I to you?) and he mentions it to Jazz. Who goes insane that Danny didn’t even question it and just went with “meh, probably haunted” as his explanation for the phenomenon for all these years.

Apparently, if Jazz was right, he had a soulmate who was uh, super fucking smart. That was an overwhelming thought.

The next day Danny is in crisis mode and writes back “Wait, WHAT AM I TO YOU??? Can I help on your homework??”

Danny gets vindicated when the writing on his arm presents a shit ton of dates and information for an unsolved Gotham cold case. See, Haunted.

Eventually between Danny becoming the top candidate for astrophysics at Wayne Enterprises and Tim Drake being outed as having contributed tips to the GCPD that solved cold cases- they meet and realize just how dumb they’ve been.

Idea: Danny isn't called a halfa because he's half ghost, he's called a halfa because the accident/his death(rebirth) gave him the ability to literally fuse with ghosts Steven Universe style in order to make more powerful beings. Phantom in this case is actually a full ghost that accidentally fused with him for an absurd amount of time causing them to become synchronized. But they can unfuse any time they want. Danny does have a ghost core(space), he just doesn't have a ghost form yet. Phantom is a separate being and has his own ghost core(ice). They have separate obsessions too, Danny's being Space/Love and Phantom's being Helping/Protection. The reason no one pegs Danny as Phantom isn't just because Phantom is dead but that when you get an actual look of them next to each other they don't actually look all that much alike besides being about the same height and having similar face shapes.

This brings me to Danni, Dan, and Vlad. All three different variations of the same thing.

Vlad isn't considered a halfa by other ghosts because he can't fuse with other ghosts and isn't actually a human. He's possessing his own corpse but hasn't accepted his death and the ecto keeps his body from rotting away. He is not a halfa.

Dan is essentially something similar in that the clone body he is possessing is alive, but it had no soul before him. Dan isn't actually Danny's future self he's Phantom's; well a Phantom that devoured Vlad's core in an effort to fuse with him the way Danny could have. Phantom felt betrayed by Danny choosing to force Phantom to unfuse with him because at the time he had not actually known they were separate entities so he killed his human half thinking it would stop the horrible grief inside him. But it just made everything, him included, even worse.

Dani on the other hand is the closest to an actual halfa the three of them get. She's as successful a clone of Danny as there can be because she's more Danny than Phantom. This works both for and against her because she started off as a mostly human clone but with Phantom's specific ecto signature forcefully infused into her. That made her permanently fused with a barely formed neverborn that is essentially just a blob ghost because Vald doesn't have the understanding or ability to properly create a neverborn, nor does he actually understand what a halfa actually is or what they can do. He just assumes he does. This is why all the clones were so violently unstable.

Unfortunately for the others the stabilizing factor was not just the ecto-dejecto but the acceptance of her technical ghost parents. She needed stabilizing ectoplasm from her “parent source” Phantom and from Danny because though none of them realize it she is technically the fusion of Danny and Phantom's neverborn and a living human clone. Because of how they were made though they can never be separated or become fully separate people. This prevents her from being able to fuse with other ghosts as well. Luckily Dani and her blob have the same obsession with Exploration/Freedom so there's no real conflict. She doesn't know that she could have been/kinda is a halfa if she hadn't been permanently forcibly fused with a blob ghost/neverborn by Vlad trying so hard to create a being he didn't actually understand anything about.

DC x DP Fic idea: The Royal Consort

Wesley Weston runs a blog after getting over his desire to expose Danny's secret- primarily due to no one believing him- and no one pays attention to it since almost all of Casper high school has one too.

The difference between the hundreds of other blogs is that one of his pictures of Phantom is clear. A perfectly uncorrected image of the famous ghost, whereas nearly all other pictures are blurry due to ghosts disrupting cameras. Even Wes isn't sure how he managed to capture him so well.

Another difference between his blog and others is that one of his followers happens to be John Constantine, who followed the kid a long time ago due to the fanfiction of the Bats and found them hilarious.

John opens his phone app, expecting a new chapter to the Bruce Wayne/Superman fic, and spits out his tea upon seeing the High King of the Dead casually in the human world. Horrified that the King has not been appropriately welcomed- which could lead to a war that the humans would never win- he calls an emergency Justice League and Justice League Dark meeting.

It didn't help that they had allowed a county to pass the anti-ecto laws, which ruined any attempt to appease the Ghost King once the news broke to the public. The League still worried about a declaration of war even after they demolished the laws and the United Nations had the States apologize on humans' behalf.

They quickly discover High King Phantom has been visiting Earth for almost three years. Before his coronation, Phantom had not been outside the Infinite Realms very often though he has appeared throughout history. Cave drawings date back thousands of years before the first ancient Egyptians, but he's visits are few and short.

Life would naturally send him back to the Realms because he had too much power and ectoplasm. After taking the throne, his powers only grew, which meant someone had to summon him as the only way for him to stay on Earth longer than an hour.

Now as King, he appeared only within the small town of Amity Park daily. Why?

John sighs. "He has an anchor. Someone is tying him to this plane. Like the helmet for Nabu, which allows Doctor Fate to exist here without being launched back to the Infinite Releams, Phantom has bonded himself. And I know who that is"

He pulls up a class photo on Weston's blog and points to a boy wearing a particular necklace.

"Danny Fenton is wearing the official Royal Consort of the Infinite Realms symbol and has been since he was fourteen. Phantom's husband may be our only hope to salvage the terrible mess the USA's bloody GIW placed the rest of us in."

Danny loved the necklace he found in Pariah Dark's old haunt. He inherited Pariah's haunt and everything inside once he was crowned and hasn't taken it off since. He didn't think it would be an issue. It's not like it would out his secret to his parents or anyone else since it was in Ghost Speech. Even he didn't know what it said.

Then one morning he comes down for breakfast only to have the most important members of the Justice League sitting in his living room waiting to greet him.

Desperate to keep his halfa status a secret, Danny must convince the entire world watching him, that he's just a human who scandalously eloped at age fourteen with one of the strongest beings in the mulitverse.

Jack's horrified "We were shooting my son-in-law this whole time" became a meme that has trended for months.

Leaving Unattended

Phantom and Danny were accidentally split in an accident. The two of them end up defeating the enemy that split them but are unable to fuse back together.

Over time as they are on split Phantom gets more and more unstable mentally. Phantoms humanity is cut off majorly and turning off his powers has become harder. Phantom gets into an argument with Danny causing him to run off. 

Phantom tries to find something that he can defeat to blow off steam and finds a cult. the League of Assassins to be specific. Unfortunately due to his declining mental stability he is getting much easier to manipulate.

He ends up getting brought into the LOA due to him being convinced it was a misunderstanding. The LOA Starts as thinking about sending him on a mission after they are convinced they've brainwashed him. 

While with Danny the further he is from Phantom the more he's getting physically sick. Danny is trying to find a way to put them back together working with both Vlad and frostbite. It takes about 3 days before Danny is very worried for Phantom and goes looking for him.

He unfortunately can never find him though he continues looking and is holding out to hope that he will come back. The longer Phantom is away the further Danny gets sick eventually Danny is in and out of the hospital with something that doctors can never diagnose.

It takes about 4 months before Phantom realizes he never told Danny where he went and goes back to see him. This unfortunately gives LOA a weakness. Phantom tells Danny he is staying with some people that he's made friends with but not really telling him what they're doing.

Phantom thinks that Danny will come to the same conclusion he did. He doesn't want to get his new friends in trouble. Danny is mostly just relieved to have Phantom back. unfortunately Phantom has been very unstable for the time he's been away from Danny and gets a little protective and possessive.(can you tell where this is going)

Phantom convinces Danny to come with him to see where he's been staying after realizing that them being apart is not good for both of them. Danny is happy to figure out where he's gone and plans to leave for the weekend. He does not come back after that weekend. In other news the LOA has a new member.

DCxDP prompt (TW assumed assault, assumed teenage pregnancy)

Since I don’t see enough Teen Dad Danny + deaged Ellie misunderstandings, here’s another prompt.

Danny is Bruce’s biological kid(through a one night stand or he was adopted by the fenton’s you decide) and once Bruce found out, he immediately started researching his son. Then, he found a picture of his son with a little girl that was the spitting image of him. The caption said ‘Ellie’s first day of daycare! I love my little gremlin and can’t imagine life without her.’ Another picture was his son at a pride parade, with both a bisexual pin and a trans pin.

With the information presented, Bruce comes to the following conclusion: His son gave birth to a baby girl, and due his son’s age, the lack of legal records on Ellie, and how scarce his medical records were, he concludes his son must have been assaulted, and given birth at home, without any help. The lack of records indicate that he was neglected often by the Fentons.

When Bruce finally meets Danny and takes him home, he is understandably skittish. Bruce didn’t fully understand the hesitance and why he was originally called a fruitloop, until the gala. Until Masters had the gall to touch Danny without consent, until he overheard the conversation about child support for Ellie. Then he understood. And he wasn’t going to allow this monster around his son.

DP x DC prompt #153

Every ancient's core is directly tied to what they are the ancient of. For Clockwork, his core is present throughout all of time. For Undergrowth, his core is connected to every plant on Earth. For Nocturn, his ckrr is made up of the combined dreams of the people of Earth.

Danny though, as the Ancient of Space, Danny's core is made up of the entire universe. He has a hard time explaining this to the Justice League.

There’s so many possibilities with a believed-to-be Pit-Influenced Danny Phantom.

Danny is Damian’s twin. They’re separated after a mission gone wrong, resulting in Danny ending up with the Fentons and Damian believing his brother is dead. This time around, when Damian is dumped on Bruce’s doorstep, he tells the family about his dead twin. His integration into the family is much smoother because the Waynes are able to get him therapy and grief counseling.

Danny’s not doing so hot. Jazz tries, but neglectful parents are neglectful parents. Neglect turns to abuse when he dies in a lab accident at fourteen and becomes a halfa. Danny’s not as brave this time around. Damian was always his anchor and protector, looking out for him in the League. Now he’s half dead and he doesn’t know what to do. He was never strong enough for the LoA, how is he supposed to fight unearthly beings hellbent on destruction? Ghosts are more dangerous in this world. Not as…friendly. Those claws and fangs are put to use.

Danny learns what it means to be a ghost. He’s scared, always scared. He wants Damian, but without him, he realizes he will have to be a monster to survive. He survives.

Phantom is a being of great size and power—where a white-haired boy stands, a shadow rises above him, a monster with deadly glowing eyes and flaming hair. He tames Dan. Phantom and Dan are one, and in their center, Danny. What looks like a boy can glitch into a million fractured pieces of shadow and glass shards and an animalistic eldritch beast. He is powerful enough to escape his parents when the time comes (and it comes; he never had a doubt that it would, unfortunately). He flies to Nanda Parbat, desperate to find his beloved brother, to reunite with his other true half and fill that ever-consuming void inside him. Damian has always been the stronger of the two. He will be able to stop Danny, should the occasion ever arise.

Instead, he finds Ra’s and Talia, who only see a potential heir that they can mold to do their bidding. He doesn’t reveal his Phantom form until they throw him into the Lazarus Pits, believing them to make him stronger. Unable to fight the overwhelming energy of rotten ectoplasm all at once, his transformation is forced out of him, revealing his second form. An innocent, white haired boy stands before them.

They are not fooled. Determined to turn him into a weapon, they keep him in a cell in the dungeon and take him out only to train (Danny doesn’t think they realize he could leave this mortal cell whenever he wants. At first, he sneaks out at night and searches rooms for Damian. He never finds him. Danny stops searching). He doesn’t ask where Damian is; they don’t tell him. He’s tired of fighting for control. He gives in and obeys their commands, because it’s easier that way.

Damian and the rest of the Bats go to Nanda Parbat on a mission. They heard that the LoA has a secret weapon, and they must find what it is.

Enter stage left. They walk in on a massacre.

Dozens of bodies cover the floor. Blood soaks the floor, the walls, a little on the ceiling and windows. A few detached limbs litter the ground. Ra’s himself lays in the dead center (no pun intended).

“Guess their weapon got away from ‘em,” Jason, as Red Hood, breathes out.

The rest of the Bats silently agree, a sharp, acrid copper scent poisoning their noses. It’s…unreal. Fictitious, really, that Ra’s could be dead. For so long, he’s felt like a villain with plot armor, a figure too great to be killed off just like that.

He’s just a man. It’s all any of them are, really.

Before any of them can continue their search, the shadows of the room all twist towards the middle, bending forward as though bowing. Above Ra’s mutilated body, another being flickers into the visible spectrum. They all tense.

It’s a monster, at first. Long, white fangs drip blood, and flaming white hair sends up whisps of shadowy smoke that disappears into nothing. Its eyes are pure Lazarus green with pinpricks of black in the center. The bridge of its nose is scrunched like a defensive predatory animal as it glares at them, pointed ears flicking.

It looks like a monster. Sounds like one. But then it shrinks, and a boy with red-stained jeans and wobbly knees drops the extra foot to the ground. His shirt is torn in places, face stained with tears, but a snarl still mars his face.

That face is unmistakable. “Dan- Danyal?” Damian whispers.

They all tense further. Danyal’s eyes are still glowing sickly green, and Dick sidles forward towards Damian. A quick glance to the others confirms they’re all thinking the same thing: Danyal, dead. Body never seen. Talia. Lazarus Pits. Pit Rage.

“Dami?” Dick says quietly, grabbing the boy’s arm as he tries to run to his long-dead twin. “Hold on, Dames. I– I know you miss him. We want to meet him, too. But I think he’s got really bad Pit Rage right now, so let’s give it a minute, okay?”

“He would never hurt me!” Damian snarls, tugging away, but the hurt and uncertainty in his voice reflects his doubts. They all would’ve thought that about Jason, once, but experience would prove otherwise. Not that he’d ever hurt them now that he was better.

“Damian, honey,” Dick starts gently, prepared to inch his little brother away from the twin who was also some kind of Pit monster strong enough to destroy an entire room of assassins. But then the– the boy, the twin, speaks.

“D-Dami?” It’s said so quietly in such a broken voice that they barely hear it. The snarl is gone, replaced by quivering lips. “Is– is that you?”

“Danyal!” Damian shouts, yanking away from Dick and running for the boy covered in blood. “Danyal, I’m here!”

Danyal wavers, legs buckling and he falls forward into Damian’s arms. In the silence of the room, they hear when he begins sobbing.

“Damian, I– I– I didn’t mean to,” he hiccups, burying his face in the other boy’s shoulder, muffling his words slightly. “Please, you gotta– you gotta believe me! I didn’t– I didn’t mean to, I can’t– I didn’t want to!”

“Shhh, it’s alright,” Damian murmurs. “I believe you.”

“They wanted– they wanted me to hurt people, and I couldn’t, I just– Damian, I missed you so much, I needed you.”

“I know, Danyal. I know. It’s okay, I’m here now.”

“Please don’t leave me, Dami.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” Damian says firmly, righting his grip around his brother.

“I looked for you.”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there, akhi.”

“You won’t leave?”

“Never.”

“Promise? Even though I’m a– a monster?”

“If you are a monster, then I must be the worst of kind of creature to walk the Earth.”

“What? Damian, no, you’re– you’re amazing, you’re not—”

“Then I suppose we are at an impasse.”

They sit in silence for a moment. Behind them, the other Bats are murmuring and moving around.

“You haven’t promised,” Danny whispers, painfully raw.

“I promise. I vow it to you, Danyal. I will never leave your side.”

Mom!Danny, Dad!Vlad, Kids!Dani and Dan, Batfam and Misunderstandings

Dp x Dc Prompt:

So a bit of a twist on the usual dp x dc trope; Vlad is the one who has come to live in the DC universe for a fresh start after he’s done his redemption thing and is getting therapy and he’s traveling around DC basically starting his company and wealth from scratch but without overshadowing people(still sketchy but what business man isn’t). Vlad happens to be in Gotham when Danny(18 y/o) comes to visit with Dani(Ellie)(5 y/o) and Dan(3 y/o) for a long weekend. Dick, Jason and Damian are the first ones to see the little family in a Batburger Danny dragged Vlad into. The little family is concerning for a number of reasons not because they are obviously(to a trained eye) not human(no nonhuman racism here) but the fact that Vlad and Danny are their usual antagonistic selves(Vlad is in a better place and a better parent then any one including Vlad thought he could be but him and Danny will eternally have beef) Vlad is very familiar with Danny and the obvious age difference between Danny and Vlad(with the kids and their ages added in the picture isn’t looking good). Encounters like this happen with all of the Batfam and Danny, Vlad and the kids behavior and conversation snippets the Batfam hear do nothing to clear up the Batfam’s misunderstandings. It all ends at gala; Danny(looking gorgeous in a ice blue dress with actual ghost ice crystals on it and coming in dramatically in a white fur coat from the Far Frozen) is Vlad’s date(the kids are left at the hotel with their ghost babysitter) and the bats manage to get Danny alone and corner him after the gala and while Batfam has the best of intentions this is quite literally none of their business(and Danny and Vlad were not blind to someone following them all this time) and though Danny was quite capable of taking care of himself he calls for Vlad with his aura and to say Vlad was pissed at what he finds when he answers Danny’s call is an understatement. Danny and Vlad don’t explain anything about the kids or what they are but they do take the Batfam to task for stalking, invasion of privacy, illegal interrogation and overall being nosy assholes who don’t know how to mind their own business. Vlad and Danny then leave and the Batfam are left with a lot to think about(hopefully), when Vlad moves on from Gotham at the end of the weekend Danny takes the kids home until the next vacation to visit Vlad and Vlad stays out of Gotham from then on.

(PS. This is good Fenton parents AU they are trying their best to make up to Danny and Jazz for what their inattention has cost their kids but their friendship with Vlad is firmly over(the only reason they haven’t Ended him is because of their grandkids).)
