in which: Matt knows you very well,maybe even too much for your liking,but he should be off limits...

Matt always told himself he was good at hiding things. Hiding when he was upset, hiding when he was stressed, and most importantly—hiding the fact that he had feelings for his brothers' best friend.

You.

You, who had been around for years.

You, who had practically become part of the family.

You, who always ruffled his hair playfully, who always saved him the last slice of pizza, who never failed to notice when something was bothering him.

And tonight, you were staying over.

Matt swallowed hard as he sat on the couch, trying to focus on whatever movie was playing. His brothers were already knocked out, leaving just the two of you awake. You stretched with a sigh, your shirt riding up just a bit, and Matt forced himself to look away.

"Tired?" he asked, his voice coming out steadier than he expected.

"A little" you admitted, glancing at him with a small smirk. "You okay? You’ve been kinda quiet."

Matt bit the inside of his cheek. "Yeah. Just thinking."

"About what?" - your voice echoing through his ears.

He hesitated. He could lie. He could brush it off. He could pretend that the idea of you lying just down the hall, so close yet so out of reach, wasn’t driving him insane.

Instead, he met your gaze.

"You."

Your expression changed—surprised at first, then something else, something softer. "Matt—"

"I know it’s messed up," he cut in, shaking his head.

"You’re Nick and Chris’s best friend. You’re… off limits. I get it. But I can’t help it. I don’t wanna pretend I don’t want you anymore."

A beat of silence passed before you shifted closer.

"Who said I wanted you to pretend?"- your voice waking something in him immediately that he couldn't control.

Matt barely had time to process that before your lips were on his. It was hesitant at first, as if testing the waters, but when his hands found your waist, you pressed closer, deepening the kiss.

He groaned against your lips, years of pent-up longing spilling over as he pulled you onto his lap.

Your fingers tangled in his hair, tugging slightly, and he let out a low sound that made heat pool in your stomach. His hands grabbing onto your hips, gripping them with his fingers, while your body was moving and grinding onto his lap by itself, it was the motion you just couldn't stop. It felt too good. But so wrong. Soft sounds leaving past your lips, the whines that shushed when Matt kissed you, but the friction between you two just unbearable..

"Are you sure?" he murmured between kisses, his breath warm against your skin.

You nodded. "I’ve been sure for a while. Just didn’t think you were."

Matt huffed a laugh, running his hands under your shirt, fingertips grazing over your warm skin.

"Guess we’ve both been idiots then."

You smiled, leaning down to capture his lips again. As his hands explored, and the night stretched on, all thoughts of "off limits" faded away, leaving nothing but the feeling of each other.

And ofcourse, not waking Nick and Chris up.

author's note: this is the second part of the best friends brother series i made,and probably the last,im still thinking of making them an au,but still not sure absolutely,sorry guys for any grammar mistakes or anything lmaoo,but lmk what you think and should i make them a au??
