Autumn in New England Korea

Gift Art for @stxrmcloud as part of @cuddleswinchester's holiday exchange!

Partially inspired by the Fall in Korea theme in his fic As the Night Changes and partly by the autumn leaf scene in 9x02 Letters.

The brush pattern is custom made from the leaf (be it maple, birch, or otherwise) sent by the Crabapple Cove fourth-grader in Letters - stencil below in case anyone else wants it. (also what a coincidence that stxrmcloud's own gift work was Letters! 😆)

Poor Charles! I imagine that in reality the leaves around him are all shapes and sizes of native Korean flora - but out of homesickness he superimposes the image of that one slice of home onto every single leaf. Wrapped in his civilian coat and hat, he can almost imagine himself in more familiar woods.
