It’s FND awareness month so I’ve decided imma talk about my experiences.
So if you don’t know what FND is, it’s basically the brain sending messages incorrectly throughout the body. In my case, I have various conditions alongside it. Particularly Epilepsy and Tourette’s Syndrome
I started having seizures very abruptly towards the end of 2021, which led to me having my entire life change. I had to drop out of school and I had no clue what to expect for my future.
I’ve had confirmed EEGs and my Tourette’s started before anything else. However, it wasn’t long before I developed other neurological issues. This included tremors and dystonia, along with other gait issues that would result in me needing mobility aids. I also learned that not all of my seizures were epileptic in origin. I had PNES, or Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures.
It’s been frustrating and rough on my already messy mental health, but I’m still making it day by day. I am trying to finish my high school diploma and do what it takes.
At one point I was practically housebound, and I’ve fortunately had an improved quality of life. However, that doesn’t remove how rough everything is.
That’s enough for me yapping though. If you have a friend with FND or any chronic illness for that matter, just remember to have patience.
Mmm… just wanna lay in this forest where the sun hits just right and nap
Ok. Logged in. See everyone panicking about some nonsense with Kamabo Co
So, I’m a vampling. Penny is a bigfin squid.
Ok? Ok.
Take it from two people who were born and spent their childhoods around the the metro, and also worked in places down there even after moving to splatsville.
You don’t fuck with Kamabo co. Literally everyone who lives down there knows that
After NILS I had hoped they would be a little more normal. Ughhh.

hey now that it’s disability pride month can you please remember to include people with Down syndrome and other chromosomal defects into your activism. they’re so often left behind. I literally never see anyone spreading Down syndrome awareness that isn’t close family of someone with Down syndrome. They exist and they’re living breathing humans who deserve just as much activism as every other disabled person
do you care about severely disabled people who are disabled due to mental illness, intellectual disability, and developmental disability. do you care about people with low adaptive functioning? do you care about disabled people who are visibly disabled without any aids, for the way they talk, walk, act? do you care about disabled people who need 24h care? about disabled people who need almost anything to be explained to them simply? about disabled people who can't and might never understand things you take for granted? do you care about disabled people who are missing from society - who are locked up at home with family or away in institutions? do any of you actually give a shit about pw mental health conditions and ID/DD and include them in your activism?
Remember: the media has been quiet on Luigi Mangione’s case.
Spread wherever you can. Remind everyone that he is still relevant and that his name can’t be forgotten.
Deny Defend Depose.
Maybe not quite as wild as fanfics but I’ve had the experience of befriending animators I enjoy
I’ll be like. Damn. Guess this is a thing now
nothing scarier than being a fan of a fic and then becoming mutuals with the author. like hi shakespeare. big fan of your fake dating au
Shoutout to Sticks the Badger from Sonic Boom being canon to the main Sonic universe but this version of her character only appearing in Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympic Games (2016), a single Japanese-exclusive webcomic, and getting a cameo mention in Sonic Frontiers. Apparently she was slated to appear in Sonic IDW but it just didn't work out. So now while she canonically exists, there's basically no canon record of her doing anything or appearing anywhere. Lmao
Ah yes. The “forgetting your sub isn’t a bomb” maneuver.
Happens to the best of us.
WHOA HEY, careful where you're throwing that thing! You just might've prevented a massacre.
