I saw god yesterday
She came to me in a
dream, kissed me on the head
And whispered everything
will be alright my child

Today I went on a hike with my family! It wasn't very far of very challenging, and we actually weren't out for that long, but I really enjoy traversing the woods of the area I grew up in. Perhaps I should make an effort to do that on my own in the future.
My siblings and I also fed some deer at the enclosure near the trail.
Also, congratulations to my brother for shamelessly running ahead and ending up walking a harder, longer path because he didn't wait for us when the path split (don't worry, he's alright and was keeping us updated via WhatsApp as this was happening).
Positive things I did that day:
went for a hike with family
got up and went to bed at reasonable times
Hours slept: ~6hrs Screentime: ~6hrs Steps taken: ~8.679

Not the greatest day, which becomes evident when you take a look at my screen time. But that's alright, because sadness is temporary and there are a thousand things that make life beautiful.
I cheered up a bit in the evening and started watching Peaky Blinders with a friend. Needless to say, Oppenheimer has impacted us in a certain way.
Positive things I did today:
kept the Duolingo Spanish streak going
finished history of witch hunts revision
did the dishes
Hours slept: ~8hrs Screentime: 11hrs (actually mortified at this) Steps taken: ~220

I had such a nice dream tonight. All my favourite people and things were there and waking up from it felt like a crime. But instead of mourning my perfect dream-reality I tried to bring that positive energy into my day instead.
And I think it worked! For the most part at least.
My positive outlook from yesterday definitely carried over into today and I mnaged to get a lot of things done. Didn't quite finish my revision but what's left over should be managable to wrap up tomorrow.
It seems like I'm riding a bit of a high at the moment. I really hope it stays that way for a while or at least evens out at a median instead of having me crash in a few days - but we'll see.
Positive things I did today:
continued history of witch hunts revision
kept the duolingo Spanish streak going
took out the trash
went out to the post office and picked up my new planner
went grocery shopping
baked (and ate) brownies
studied before breakfast
Hours slept: ~9hrs Screentime: 3hrs 30mins Steps taken: ~4.500
Going on study dates to pretty libraries, fighting to find a seat next to each other.
On discord listening to them go through a powerpoint the night before their big presentation.
The Arts/Humanities one proof-reading the STEM one's motivation letters/long emails.
Reading through interesting research in bed together, sharing the one phone screen.
Alternating between who is the one making tea for the study session. (Bonus: matching study mugs)
Study breaks include marveling over some super niche knowledge acquired during the study session.
Emailing an article as a pdf, and titling the email "I thought you'd find this interesting :-)"
Setting a timer for a cuddle break when the assignment work gets too overwhelming. Celebrating together when the assignment gets done.
Sharing the excitement of finding a new productivity app / stationary shop / study hack.
Is there something you planned to do before you got trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?
Are you yelling at yourself to get up and do the thing, but you can’t, because you’re trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?
Consider this your save point.
Put tumblr down, stand up, stretch, and go do the thing you planned to do. Future you will be incredibly grateful.

In the context of this challange I'd like to forget about the past four days in their entirety.
I haven't necessarily been feeling bad, but I was in a constant state of stress and overstimmulation that didn't allow me to function normally, like... at all.
Today I arrived at my parents'. I'll be staying with family until mid September. I have a few things planned, like my siblings' birthday party and a DnD session with friends, though fo the most part I'll be focusing on finishing my assignments and finding a rhythm again. I honestly think that not being around people (other than my family) will do me good.
Positive things I did today:
cleaned my apartment
did laundry
Hours slept: ~9hrs 30mins Screentime: ~3hrs 30mins Steps taken: ~600
